Current mood:  pissed off
Are they losing their minds?

this Halloween weekend in SF alone 7 people were killed.
A friend and his Girl were assaulted while waiting for a cab.  What kind of asshole attacks a woman for no reason?  Another friend was stabbed in the face at a party over stupid shit.

i see kids on the bus acting supper ghetto trying to be all gangster, assaulting mothers, children, and the elderly or any one who gets in their way.  I saw a 3 year old almost trampled by a bunch of hood rats on the bus.

i've seen skin heads/white supremacists walking down the streets of SF, dogging me trying to start a fight.

we got kids killing each other on the streets, in schools, and even in colleges (where supposedly people are smart)!

then we have these entitled "upper class" people who fell they can treat people of color and poor people like shit or their slaves.

now we get another mass shooting, ironically on the largest military base in TEXAS USA, and ON the earth.
it's not surprising to me this happened.  This shit smells fishy.  how could one guy kill 13 people and wound 30 soldiers?

fuck that 2012 that ,  i think it will be a miracle if human beings don't obliterate each other before then.

the problem with people and the youth today it there is no respect for life.

So maybe take the time to do something nice for one person once a day. because maybe, just maybe that person will be nice to someone else, and so on...till it comes back to you.

but if your are an asshole or a bitch to others,  you just fucked up the world for the rest of us and yourself.  that person is gonna be make life miserable for you directly or indirectly. for example if you fuck with me or my loved ones you better watch out.  you got another thing coming.

i'm not a hippie, but practice peace and fuck the haters!

Again this is the last project Chris Webb was working on before he passed away. I finished it up with string arrangments and addtional music. it is an intense piece of theatre.

"Lydia" previews April 2nd through 14th, and opens April 15th and runs till May 17th.

For tickets go to:
http://www.centertheatregroup.org/tickets/productiondetail.aspx?id=7714

here is a write up on the show:

Set in the 1970s on the Texas border separating the United States and Mexico, Lydia is an intense, lyrical, and magical new play that marks the Yale Rep debut of award-winning playwright Octavio Solis.

The Flores family welcomes Lydia, an undocumented maid, into their El Paso home to care for their daughter Ceci, who was tragically disabled in a car accident on the eve of her quinceañera, her fifteenth birthday. Lydia's immediate and seemingly miraculous bond with the girl sets the entire family on a mysterious and shocking journey of discovery. Lydia is an unflinching and deeply emotional portrait of a Mexican immigrant family caught in a web of dark secrets.

“Written with soul-searching honesty and breathtaking mastery” (San Francisco Chronicle), Octavio Solis's plays, including Santos & Santos, El Paso Blue, and El Otro, have been praised as “brightly nightmarish, frighteningly comic, mystifying, and downright entertaining” (San Francisco Examiner).

I have an album out under "Kyron And Molina" titled "Melting Point" on the Black Note Music Label.

It was created from a multi media concert with visual artist Susana Aragon.
the original was all Improvised with myself on various instruments while Kyron mixed and resampled me live on the spot.

Some of this material was later remixed, while three tracks were left intact to create the album

to hear or purchase the CD go to cdbaby.com/cd/kyronmolina or www.deconstructionist.com/blacknote/meltingpoint.htm

On december 15th 2008 composer, guitarist, collaborator, G&S guitarist, and friend Chris Webb Passed away. He left us suddenly due to a rare form of cancer.

He was one of the most talented up and coming musicians and composers in theatre, film, television, and in the NYC music scene. We had been friends and performed for the past 15 years in many bands and music projects as well as composed music for numerous theatre and dance productions.

As his last wish he requested that i finish the score to Octavio Solis' play "Lydia" at Yale Repertory Theatre in Connecticut and at the Mark Taper Forum in LA later this year.
more details on these show in the next blog.
It's been a tough year. so that's why i have disappeared from the west coast for the past 2 months.

Please go to webbmusic.net to check out his work.
there is also a secret myspace page called Zombie Club which was a place for his close friends to hear rough ideas to his dark, dirty blues project. there are only 2 untitled tracks there.

it's for the film written by Barry Gifford and directed by Amy Glazer one of my former theatre collaborators.
Gifford has written and co-written a few David Lynch films including the ones i can remember:
Lost Highway and Wild At Heart.
he also wrote the kick ass Perdita Durango directed by Alex De La Iglesia
