What means for you your name „Bleeding Tears“?
“When being born the weeping is the universal language and the tears are only an expression conduit, at interpretation level it is the voice and the instrumentation the one that will express the emotions surrounded in each one of the letters and compositions, the blood is the representation of vital fluid, which gives to us lucidity and movement, which does humans to us”.
Your Band was formed in 2004. What was your musical experience from then ‘till now?
That’s right, until now we have known a lot of important people thanks to the Band and that have given us experience to make a better work for the public, however we have discovered that the impossible dreams are a reality when you do a work together as a team.
Please tell us about your musical influence and if you have idols, who are they?
Our sound it’s a mix of death, heavy and doom but giving it the essence of Gothic Metal basically expressing feelings like passion, horror and melancholy with dark atmospheres owns of Gothic Metal, we can say that are influenced by bands as Tristania, The Sins of Thy Beloved, Saturnus, Theatre of Tragedy, Penumbra and others.
Bleeding Tears had already changed more that one time the band. How is it now? are you satisfied with the actual formation?
As all the Bands we have had many musicians in our line up until the actual formation that have been the same since 2005 however the Band continue working but if Bleeding Tears have to make some changes in the line up to keep on working, we will do it.
You are now on recording your Debut-CD, please describe in few words, what the fans and listeners can expected, what contains it in case of music, style and lyrics?
Our album will contain 10 tracks of our first songs, it’s going to be as old school influenced by death, doom also black metal genres with many orchestration and chorals the lyrics are about love, desperation, vampirism until religion.
How is the situation in ....Venezuela....? are there many bands in the gothic genre? How about scene-clubs, your possibilities for live gigs…and so on?
Well yes, there are a lot of gothic Bands but not all them are active in the scene, here there is a nice public that support the gothic; about the scene-clubs there are not a lot of them like other countries but the clubs that support the metal try every time to give the Bands the best to show a good concert and the people can enjoy it. There are many opportunities for live gigs but you have to work to play there as all the bands you have to work a lot to increase the possibilities to give many live gigs.
Otherwise, in case: A European Gothic or Metal band would like to plan a tour through your country and they don’t have any idea, what will expect them. How would you describe them the (for them still unknown) situation, what kind of tips you will have for them?
First the band must be known if not they have to promote their material to be known by the public also make sure that the tour manager make a good work to do the concert and be a responsible man or company that have done many important concerts. Here the public is so receptive and if the band is so good can become crazy with the songs, so exciting!
We know a lot about great south-American temperament, how excited are the fans especially in Venezuela?
So exploding, they can sleep until three days outside before the concert, where is going to be their favourite Band even being hungry they wont move until be the first to see the concert. It is so crazy but shows love for the music.
Back to your forthcoming album, will it be a Minialbum (EP) or a full length CD?
Will be a Full Length (CD)
What are your expectations from this Album, and in general, what are you planning for the future?
Make an excellent album, after that give a concert promoting the CD; actually we are composing new songs also making all the preparative to film our first video.
Ultimately - the 3 standard questions from the Dark Feather:
What is your opinion in general about the development of the Gothic and Metal Genre in your country and worldwide?
Here in Venezuela is a genre that little by little has taken spaces and public in the gothic scene, also counted with bands from America even from Europe as Epica where we had the opportunity to be chosen to open this concert, however many Bands and new gothic events have appeared since 2006, years ago the gothic scene was poor just there were like five Bands the people listened heavy metal, death metal and other extreme genres, right now you can see a big amount of people that knows about the Gothic Metal and support the scene. In the Worldwide, the gothic is increasing everyday, can see it by yourself; maybe the people feel them comfortable with the genre, the music, and lyrics or just like to enjoy live gigs.
What do you think about web communities like for example Myspace (positive and/or negative facts)?
Among the positive factors, they help to disseminate information to locations where they usually do not come easily. Among the negative factors can be generated by identity theft or forgery of the page where information may be distorted.
What were your best, bad and crazy experiences until now with Bleeding Tears? (Would like to tell us little short anecdotes ;-)
As the best experiences we could made many gothic events like the “Gothic Night Fest” where have played important gothic Bands from Venezuela; we remember every time our first presentation in cities such Caracas or Valencia where the people became crazy asking again to play all the songs, really we felt so excited that day. As a crazy experience we had a concert in the East of the Country called “Soul Vampire Fest”, but the entire event was a disaster, we could never understand anything. Until now our worst experience has been the cancellation of a concert that we already have organized, the second edition of Gothic Night Fest. We had waste a lot of money and dedication to bring a Band from Colombia “Gaias Pendulum”, but the government cancelled all the concert the same day, imagine the public (everybody was crazy and angry), we could learnt many things about that experience.
