Wow, I hadn't noticed that it's been almost a year since I last posted a blog about my favorite little man!  So here it is....

He's going to turn 2 on November 3rd, and I cant wait.  I don't have many presents yet, but I have a feeling hes going to have more than enough.  I can't believe that he's already almost two years old.

He's starting to talk a lot more these days.  He's demanding when it comes to what he wants to do, but not irritatingly.  It's more cute than anything.  He gets his tempers, but they usually go away as soon as you distract him with something else, like a car, or Yo Gabba Gabba, or candy.  Speaking of Yo Gabba Gabba, it's his true love.  It's a show on the Noggin channel on tv, and it comes on at 4:30 everyday.  He's addicted.  It's a weird show, with people dressed up in costumes, that are really toys that DJ Lance Rock turns to life at the beginning of every show, and at the end he turns them back into toys.  The characters are Muno, Foofah, Broby, Toody, and Plex.  His favorite by far is Broby, don't ask me why.  Today he surprised me and said all their names at the beginning of the show.  He has two dvd's already of them, and he's starting to need another one.  He literally watches a dvd at least once a day, let alone whats on tv.  He watches them so much that they're starting to skip.  I guess Im writing all this down so I can look back one day when he's older and tease him about it.

I am currently trying to potty train him.  He knows that the big potty is what he's supposed to go in, he just doesnt.  We got him a little step stool and an Elmo (another one of his favorites, along with Spongebob) potty cushion that fits into the toilet seat.  He has the idea of it down, just not the actual use of it.  Today I must have spent 20 minutes in the bathroom with him, trying to convince him...and bribe him with a new Elmo toy.....to use the big potty.  Even though he was squatting not 5 seconds before I put him him there, he wouldn't go.  And then not even 5 minutes later, he tried pooping again, so I rushed him in the bathroom, and 15 minutes later I gave up, and he immediately pooped as soon as I put his diaper back on him.  So even though this is the first attempt, my current mindset is that potty training SUCKS!

He's done a lot more cute stuff recently, but I'll save that for another time.

Just figured I should update this since its been a few months.  Christofer is now one year old.  He's amazing, and he's my entire life.  He is now 22 lbs, 4 oz, and is 30 inches tall I think.  He's normal weight, is a little bit tall, but overall perfect.  His hair just keeps getting lighter everyday.  He's showing his personality more and more now.  He shows off late at night before bed, dancing in the living room and spinning around making himself dizzy.  Right before he goes to bed, thats when the best stuff happens.  He has his temper tantrums now, though.  He gets incredibly red in the face and throws himself down when he gets really mad...and now he has this new yell.  His "This is some f'in bull****!" yell.  He sleeps pretty well now though.  Every night at 8:30 he's in bed.  He just got 5 shots in his legs the other day, so the last night and tonight have been a little rough....but normally he's only waking up once or twice for a bottle.  He learned how to drink out of a sippy cup a couple days ago, and also how to twist the lid off.  So now he thinks he's the ultimate shit.  Which, I mean, who could really argue with that?

His birthday was a huge success....with the exception of fiesta dip.  A couple of my old friends came, and of course Ryan was there bearing a HUGE bag of gifts from him and his mom.  That I think was the biggest hit in Christofer's eyes......all the noisy toys.  Lol.  He got his own birthday teddy bear cake, which had bright blue icing that he got everywhere on his face, I have pictures on here to prove it.  It was a good first birthday.  I loved it.

Ryan and I are still going strong.  I swear I dont know what I would do without him and Christofer.  I wake up everyday hoping I get to see him that day, and I know that everytime I do... it makes for a perfect way to end the day.  What can I say?  He's pretty much too good to be true....and I love him.

Heres an update on Christofer!  We took him to the doctors the other day and he is now 20 pounds and 10 ounces, and he's only grown an inch from the last doctors visit.  The doctor said that if there was 100 more kids in the room with him, he would have exactly 50 kids shorter than him and 50 kids taller than him, which means hes perfect!  I still cant believe this one....they said that if you put those same 100 kids with him, 60 would be fatter and 40 would be skinnier...and here this whole time I thought my kid was a little chubber!  Guess not.  They say that hes a little bit underweight because he's getting a lot more exercise now that hes learning to walk.  He also got one more shot and I didnt even cry!!  Then he got to take a hearing test and they said that he hears perfectly...which i had no doubt about.

Christofer walked clear across the living room today with no help!!  He usually walks about 4 steps and he falls down, but today he actually walked from the couch all the way to the entertainment center!  He makes new faces now, like a new smile where he sticks his neck up and puts his head back and grins from ear to ear....it's so cute.  I can never capture it on camera, though.

Everything else is going well...Im still looking for a weeknight job if anyone knows any!  Help a sister out!!!  Ryan and I are going strong..like always.  We may have our disagreements from time to time, but theres no one else I would rather be with.  Everything in our house keeps breaking.  First was the fridge and freezer, then came the drier, then we got a new one and that peice of crap doesnt work, and now our car is not wanting to start half the time.  We are going to go see Terry before he ships off overseas for the second time next month, and I cant wait to see him and Jessie!!  My birthday is next month on the 26th!!  The Big 21!    Other than all of that...everything is going well!

So first off let me just say that Christofer is doing much better...no hospitalization needed.  We give him breathing treatments every 4 hours, and hes doing great.

Now for the exciting new...Christofer sits up by himself now!  And he started to crawl!  The crawling thing didnt last too long, but hes definitly just rolling around and sitting up completely on his own.  Its so cute.  I took videos of it to post on here, but I'm going to have to have Ryan fix them cuz they wont play....yet.  Give me time and you can see him!  He's so big!!!!!  I dont know if thats the exciting news that everyone was expecting, but there it is!  My little boy is growing up!!!

Current mood:  sad

I just got home from the doctors.  Christofer has been really sick for a about 2 weeks now, so we took him in and found out that he has bronchiolitis, which is bronchitis for babies.  Sometimes he struggles to breathe, so the doctors read his oxygen levels.  The normal for babies they said is in the 90's.  Christofer was about 77-80, so they gave him a breathing treatment and it brought him back up to about 90.  They gave me a breathing machine with some medicine to use on him every 4 hours, and if hes not doing any better by tomorrow then he's going to have to go into the hospital for a few days.  And believe me, if it comes down to me staying with Christofer in the hospital the entire time and starting my new job, trust that I will choose my son.  I just hope that hes going to start feeling better now.  Poor Mr. Man.

I just wanted to tell everyone that Christofer's first tooth popped in today.  You can see it a little bit, and you can feel it.  He's miserable today, cranky as can be, and sick.  He just keeps coughing and coughing, even as I write this.  Poor Mr. Man.  But he's got a tooth!!!! YAYAYAYAY!!!!!  That's excitement right there.

Hey all.  So Christofer just turned 7 months on the 3rd.  He's getting so big.  We went to the doctors again today to get yet another set of shots.  He weighs 18 pounds and 8 ounces.  He's 27 inches long now.  I swear I thought he weighed at least 20 pounds by now....hes a heavy little booger!  All in all, hes wonderful.  He has started this whole screaming thing.  Its not an annoying mad scream, its more like a "I'm so happy" scream...and most of the time its about nothing at all.  He'll just be sitting there screaming and smiling for no apparent reason.  Hes not crawling yet, but he rolls everywhere.  You turn your head for two seconds and hes gone into the hallway.  Hes so cute and big, I want him to stay this size the whole time!  I dont want him to get older...I want him this size forever.

Today was Christofer’s checkup.  He is almost 5 months old now.  Hes growing up so fast!  He had to get four shots again today...and of course...I cried.  I cant help it.  I hate seeing Christofer in so much pain.  We found out that he has exzema or however you spell it on his face...so Dr. Hamilton gave me two prescriptions for him.  Although, she did say that most babies that get it grow out of it eventually.  So we just have to wait.  So...my little not-so-tiny baby now weighs 16 pounds and 12 ounces, and is 26 inches long!  Hes getting so big!  He can now roll all the way over sometimes...not all the time, though.  Hes working on it.  His next check up is at the end of May, where he gets 3 more damned shots!  Thats about it for now...I’ll update again some other time.

Memories..

If you read this,
even if i don't speak to you often,
you must post a memory of me and you.
It can be anything you want...
just as long as it happened.
Then post this to your journal to see what people
