So, I have a new blog post with a wedding from a few weeks ago.  I shouldn't be up so late, but I can't help myself!  I am too excited to sleep!  Tomorrow I am meeting up with an old friend for a great shoot, and it has me pumped!

Ladies & Gents, the IIBW blog has officially moved!  It will probably go through several facelifts as I search for a look that I like, but it is officially up and running.  Check it out at:

Congrats to Sara & Justin!  This was a special wedding for me, as it was my husband's cousin getting married.  It was wonderful getting to spend all day with family, and I welcome Sara to the family!

Tomorrow, Lorette & Charley are getting married in my hometown of Carthage.  It is going to be a beautiful outdoor ceremony on a small lake, and as long as it isn't brutally hot, like it has been for all of my other outdoor weddings this summer, it will be a beautiful day!

These are my only two weddings of July, and then I am taking a much needed break.  The next 4 weeks, I plan to get completely caught up from the crazy month of June, do a few portrait sessions, and spend some time with my husband.  For our anniversary last month, I worked, and then came home and slept, after an out-of-town wedding, though we did make dinner together!  One weekend, we are going to hide out in a whirlpool suite at a hotel in town, have dinner at Martinis, and just spend time with each other, and only each other, something we haven't been able to do for almost 3 months now!  I am really looking forward to it!

I am ready to take some time off from the wedding world and get back to basics, doing some infants, a couple families, and even a personal project (I'll post the pics once it is over on 7/31/07).  My main camera will also be taking a trip into the Canon support center to get cleaned up and checked out to make sure it is ready for the fall wedding season.

Come the first weekend of August, I'll be back at it, traveling all over the midwest, shooting weddings and having fun!  The calendar on my profile page is not up-to-date with all of the bookings I have, so even though it might look like I am sitting around doing nothing on a couple weekends, chances are that isn't the case!  While I'm looking forward to having some time to rest these next few weeks, I am just as excited about jumping back into the busy wedding season that is August-September-October!

I'd been looking forward to this wedding for the last year, and now that it is here and gone, I'm a little bit sad.  Then, I look at the pictures, and I get happy all over again!

Congrats to my friends Holly and Matthew!  It was a beautiful wedding, despite the heat, and then the rain!

I don't have a lot of time to post, so this one will be short!

A Few Details

Getting Ready

Gotta love humorous ushers!

After the wedding

Ceremony - they say that rain on your wedding day is good luck.  Well, if that is the case, then this couple is going to be together forever!  It started raining at 4:00 on the dot, just as the grandmothers were walking down the aisle (it was an ourdoor ceremony, mind you).  After waiting for the downpour to settledown, we moved it inside.  At about the time the ceremony would have been over, the rain stopped!  We went ahead with the indoor ceremony, but it was still beautiful!

We're married!

A Little Something To End The Night

Ok, like I mentioned before, it took me 16 months to plan my wedding.  Granted, I was finishing up my bachelor's degree, and refused to do any serious planning while in class, so I probably only spent 6 real months planning (during breaks).  Even so, that is a lot of time compared to this couple!

Dorothy and I first talked about 6 weeks before her wedding.  Not only was she planning it last-minute, she was also planning from out of state (Indiana)!  She managed to pull together a beautiful wedding in such a short amount of time, and I admire her for that!

So, without further ado, newlyweds Dorothy & Shaun!

Seeing Dad for the first time

Their first glance at each other

This smile never left her face!

Shaun's mom surprised them with a limo!

Playing in traffic, something I love to do!

Now that is a lot of Jaeger-bombs!

Congrats to a beautiful couple!

This amazing couple came in from Washington state, and brought the weather with them.  It was a perfect day, and they are the perfect couple!

Craig didn't really know how to drive stick shift, so it took a few tries before they finally pulled away!

Congrats, Heidi & Craig!  It was an honor!

Just a few from D&J's wedding on 6-2-07.  Devan, you know my favorite color is pink, so your wedding make me smile all day long!

This groomsman cracked me up all day!

She was too cute!

The ringbearer gave me a lot of great shots throughout the day!

Congrats, you two!  You make a great couple!

Ok, it has taken nearly a month, but here it is!  Finally some pictures from the Trash The Dress / equine session I did in early-May.  Since this was a personal project, it took a back seat to my regular sessions.  With wedding season in full swing, I knew I needed to get to these before they got forgotten!

More pics available at inspiredimagesbywendi.com/photocart.  It is a public gallery.

The horse we used in the walking ones was a doll, so cooperative, and handsome!  The one she was riding was very skittish, she is "recovering" from a difficult life with her past owners.  Had a hard time keeping those ears up, but oh well.

My first try at painting

I removed an entire power plant from the background of this one!

Now, on to the REAL trashing...

Thanks to my good friend Julia for modeling!

I am off to a wedding here in town with my new shootsac!  This is my first time using it out and about, so I can't wait to see how it does.  I filled it up last night and walked around with it a bit, and it was so comfy!

Check out Jessica Claire's website for the shootsac: shootsac.com

This woman is brilliant!
