I've decided that I want to get my name change done officially, for once and all -- so:

During the month of December, buy an 8x10 print of any of my photos for $20, and help me get my name changed!  All proceeds past the cost of my name change will be donated to the Identity Project, which provides funding and assistance for gender variant people in the Portland area to get their name and gender marker changed.

I'll be printing locally, so contact me directly with what picture you want (don't purchase through my DeviantArt page), and I'll get it to you well in time for your winter holiday celebration of choice.

You can view my photography at the following sites:

Give the gift of art (or keep it for yourself) and support the Identity Project!

What better way to kick off your weekend than with wine, art, and good music?  Come experience Multnomah Village's First Friday Artwalk, stop in at Healthy Pets Northwest to enjoy the whimsical animal portraiture of thisNik Photography and listen to the fine tunes of Bob's Sister.

thisNik Photography captures the spirit of the animals that live beside us in this fun series, ranging from dignified and regal to freespirted and wild.  thisNik's prints will hang at Healthy Pets Northwest for the month of July, and small prints will be available for sale at the event.

Bob's Sister consists of the sisters of Bob Cantonwine, Julie and Barb, along with their friend Mary Steele.  Together, they perform original songs and covers in an acoustic-urban-folk genre. Barb & Julie offer up vocals and guitar, while Mary joins in with bass guitar and mandolin.

Look forward to seeing you there!

Portland, OR - thisNik presents an evening of music and art to benefit P:ear and In Other Words.

Who: thisNik photography and local musicians Lily-Rygh Glen, The Crash and Betty Show, and Bob's Sister.

What: A benefit for P:ear and In Other Words

Where: In Other Words - 8 NE Killingsworth St Portland, OR 97211 (503)232-6003

How Much: Free, though donations will be welcomed.

thisNik presents an evening investing good karma forward: music, art, and munchies to raise money for P:ear and In Other Words.

On January 28th 2007, Nik's car was broken into and the majority of Nik's photography equipment was stolen.  In an amazing move, Nik's community banded together and raised close to a thousand dollars to help cover the cost of new equipment.  Looking Forward is Nik's way of saying thanks and reinvesting this momentum back into the community.

Looking Forward will feature the works of thisNik for silent auction as well as small prints for sale.  An array of talented local musicians will provide live music.  All profits from this event will go to benefit P:ear ( http://pearmentor.org) and In Other Words Bookstore (http://inotherwords.org).

Additionally, half of the profits from online sales of thisNik's prints during the month of May will go to benefit P:ear.

I shot this series with AnnaMarie and Full-On Swagger back in late February, and am very pleased with the results.
