     I've been playin' all around this country and even a few other countries for the last few years havin' a great time, meetin' new people, seein' new places....  It's tough to describe how lucky I've felt to get to do what I love to do for a living....  If there's any drawback to this life at all, it's the amount of time I've had to spend away from home for the last 15 years...  It's a sacrafice I was forced to make...
     On Friday, April 10th, it's all coming full circle....  I've played close to home before, but it doesn't get any closer than this one...  I'm goin' home, to my real home, SEMORA, NC. for a show at "The Flaming Star"....  This is a great club that's been around since I was a kid...  I remember hearing about some great acts that came through there when I was too young to go see 'em...   Well, after alotta years, it's up and runnin' strong again... and it's only a couple miles from the house I grew up in...  I used to ride my dirt bike through the parking lot, now I'm gonna be on the stage....  I look forward to seein' everybody again!!
     For those of you back east that wanna make a little road trip, come on!  It's a great place right on the North Carolina/ Virginia line.  It's gonna be a great night, not to mention it's the first time I've played in the area in a couple years!   Ya'll come see us!!     Spend a memorable night with me at home!

I wanna see all you "Crazy Like Me" guys and gals again this year...  We've got our little shindig planned for FRIDAY,  JUNE 12, 2 TO 5 pm at THE LISTENING ROOM CAFE, located right here in dowtown Nashville....  I'm lookin' forward to catchin' up with all of ya, havin' a beer or two, and showin' ya what I've been up to lately..  We're gonna do some pickin', grinnin', and maybe a little sinnin'!!

I've had quite a bit of response so far to "No Worries" from you guys, and I wanted to say thanks for that...  I rarely get political, but following my trip to Iraq this past year, I was forced to step back and take stock in my own reality..... as an American and as a person...  I wrote this song maybe 3 weeks ago.  I suppose my subconscious was at work a little more than usual...
We all know what kind of shape the economy's in, and we're all gonna be affected by it in one way or another...if we haven't been yet...   The other night, I watched a documentary that focused on the right wing and their feelings of hopelessness and betrayal brought on by the election of Barack Obama...  Some even had the ignorant audacity to call him the "Antichrist"!    Come on....  You may not agree with some of his policies, but give the guy a chance....  This mess we're in wasn't born overnight, and it's not gonna be remedied overnight....   We as Americans have still, even in these times, got it so much better than most of the people in this world....  We should all take a break from bitchin, and say thanks from time to time...  even now...

Those of you closest to me know who P-Mo is.... For those of you who don't, he's the guitar slingin' wildman in bib overalls you guys have seen by my side on stage for the last few years....  He's also my co-writer, producer, and all around right hand superhero.....
Here's the deal....  P-Mo's gonna sell one of his beloved Fender Telecasters....not just any old Tele...  It's the one he played all over "My Kind of Music"...the whole album!!     Needless to say, this axe is special.... 
Anyone interested in possibly buyin this great guitar, just send me a message and we'll go from there.....

     Hey there guys and gals!   I figure right about now, you're all with your fam and peeps celebrating the season.....   The older I get, the more I realize the importance of that.   I just spent a week back home in NC with friends and family....  lost my grandmother 2 weeks ago this Friday....  She was my last living grandparent.  It's hard to accept that I 'll never spend another Christmas  at her house, eating jello salad and telling  jokes with the cousins...  Now we're all grown up, and  time's flyin' like a scared pigeon....   I guess I just realize more and more how precious  time is and how we need to  take advantage of it...  All of us...

     This year especially, I'm inclined to think about all the sons, daughters, fathers and mothers who are spending their holidays defending our country, unable to see their loved ones .  I encourage everyone to keep them in your thoughts and prayers, and to cherish the time you get to spend with the ones you love....  even if they're a pain in the ass sometime!  ;)...  Hey it could be worse.... 


     A safe and happy holiday season to everyone.....   and take it easy on the egg nog....

She came out to a few HTTP shows this year, took some pics, and now she's got a cool little slideshow...set to my song "Slow Down".....  I think she really captured something here....
