Charleston, SC is awesome!
It was a whirlwind weekend --
I arrived on Thursday, and spent the afternoon and evening putting up posters on King and Market Streets.
The local weekly, The Charleston City Paper, ran a preview article and gave me a 'staff pick', both of which helped tremendously to get the word out!
Friday morning (at 8am!) I had two radio interviews, on WYBB-FM 98.1 "98X", and on WCOO-FM 105.5 "The Bridge".
I 'teched' Friday afternoon in the space, a 60 seat black-box that was actually more like a cozy corporate meeting room with a bar. Poetry performed on wall-to-wall carpeting - a first!
The Friday night show went great! A good review was posted to The Charleston City Paper website on Saturday morning and the Saturday night show sold out!!!
On Sunday, I saw some shows (Don John by the Kneehigh Theatre Co.) and Monday, I went to the beach and got my annual spring sunburn!
