We're very pleased to announce that The Boxer Rebellion have asked us to help them celebrate the end of 2009 with a night at The Islington Bar Academy on Thursday December 10th. As well as live music from The Domino State and Codes In The Clouds, there will be a special appearance and DJ sets from The Boxer Rebellion plus a DJ set from legendary producer Chris Sheldon (Biffy Clyro/Foo Fighters/Garbage). It would be great to see you at what looks likely to be a very special evening.

Tickets and details available here:

Here's our news:

This Sunday, 25th October we're playing Nottingham's annual citywide charity bash, the Hockley Hustle. We'll be playing the Drowned In Sound stage with The Boxer Rebellion and Exit Calm, among many others - more info here:

http://drownedinsound.com/news/4137982-nottingham-hockley-hustle-2009--the-boxer-rebellion-to-headline-dis-stage

We've very pleased to be returning to Germany for a couple of dates in Nov and Dec - Club Silber in Hamburg on the 6th November and the Bang Bang Club in Berlin on 9th December. We had a terrific time there earlier in the year and can't wait to go back.

Also in November, on Thursday 26th we'll be at London's Wilmington Arms, playing a show with New York's really-very-good-indeed The Depreciation Guild - they're far more than just a Pains At Being Pure At Heart side-project. Take a listen: http://www.myspace.com/thedepreciationguild

The Album is now very nearly finished - keep checking our myspace because we'll be sneaking the odd track or three up there before it's official release early 2010. We'd like to say a big thank you to Joe Adams for putting so much time, effort and skill into producing/engineering something that is sounding - false modesty aside - pretty amazing. Also a big thanks to Grant and all at Treacle Studios (http://www.treaclestudio.com/) for being so accommodating, tolerant, helpful and all round good eggs.

More detailed album information will be forthcoming soon.

In the meantime, hope to see you at a gig or two! As always, our myspace has all the details: www.myspace.cmo/thedominostate

Oh yeah, and for all you tweeps out there, you can now follow us at www.twitter.com/thedominostate.

Cheers,

TDS

We've had a great couple of weekends on the trot playing first Summer Sundae Weekender and then heading down to Devon to play Beautiful Days. Both were great fun, and we even picked up a couple of nice reviews:

There's some new photos up here on myspace of not only Summer Sundae, but the Rough Trade single launch, as well as a few others you might not have seen before, so take a look.

We're playing at a Club AC30 at The Queen of Hoxton in London on Tuesday 13th October. Also on the bill are Deep Cut and Denmark's Dorias Baracca, so it should be a good night - come along if you can! More shows for 2009 are being lined up as we speak - more news soon.

We are really sorry to hear that this year's Bloom festival has been cancelled. We were really looking forward to playing, and they'll hopefully be back next year, bigger and better, with us on the bill again.

The good news is that we're now booked to play Beautiful Days, 21-23 August, in Devon (our set time and date tbc). It's already sold out, so should be great!
