Один прожил не мало лет у реки белой, второй у моря черного – именно это и является фактом в появлении названия проекта River’n’Sea, в состав которого входят
Саша Хижняков и
Дима Яковлев. Ребята познакомились в 2008 году, на одной из самых шумных серий вечеринок "Freak Me" проводимых в г. Иркутске. Саша тогда занимался радиошоу и выпускал сетевые релизы своего лейбла Electronica, Дима же активно выступал с ди-джей сетами. Встретить их вдвоем можно было периодически за вертушками клуба Zima Project, резидентами которого они являлись. После вечеринки Electronica Labelnight 1.0, ребята принимают решение дать своему дуэту имя и уже следующий свой ди-джей сет отыгрывают как "River’n’Sea".
Летом 2009 года, параллельно с выступлениями, ребята стали уделять время для своих совместных экспериментов в написании собственных треков. По истечению трех месяцев, первые работы получают поддержку от Franco Bianco, Tiefschwartz, Pheek, Matt Star, Flavio Lodetti, Andrey Zots, Alex Danilov, Jamy Wing, Philogresz, Adam Port, Luca Ricci. После чего последовало подписание бумаг с лейблами Darek (Швейцария), Cimelde (Румыния), Aenaria (Италия).

Sasha Khizhnyakov and Dima Yakovlev met each other on one of the hottest parties "Freak Me" in 2008, in Irkutsk city. Sasha led one radio-show on the local station at that time and produced network releases of his own label Electronica. Dima, on the other side, performed a lot in the clubs with his dj sets .And you probably could meet them in front of the turntables at night club Zima Project. After one party of Electronica Labelnight 1.0, guys took a decision to give a name to their duet and the next dj set they played under the name of "River’n’Sea".
In summer of 2009, along with the performances, guys devoted their time to creating collective tracks. After three months, their first works received a support from Franco Bianco, Tiefschwartz, Pheek, Matt Star, Flavio Lodetti, Andrey Zots, Alex Danilov, Jamy Wing, Philogresz, Adam Port, Luca Ricci. After that, they signed some papers with such labels as Darek (Switzerland), Cimelde (Romania), Aenaria (Italy).
