What's great about The Sneakypeeks is that they're willing to give anything a go. Take last night. A busy Thursday night in super cool Shoreditch in East London the boys played in a venue that on first glance would have been better suited to a wine bar jazz band. However, looks can be deceiving, inside the line-up was not the usual run of the mill local bands, no, the boys were sandwiched between a man dressed as a wizard singing ditties whist being armed with party poppers and an arsonist flame throwing "hottie" who wasn't apposed to exposing her full talents. That's not saying that the Delulah dressed dancers (think Bugsy Malone) or the most original one man band were not impressive. The Sneakypeeks however made an even greater impression.

Interest in the band continues to grow within the industry. Just make sure you catch them quick, say The Duchess in York on the 28th Feb (Print flyer off myspace or go to www.seetickets.com) or The Good Ship in Kilburn, London on 5th March for instance. Also the bands Face In A Crowd EP is limited, so grab one quick!

December 14, 2008 - Sunday

Two days, two nights, two gigs!  One at Kentish Town's 'Bull and Gate' and the other, a private party at 'Roose Studios' in Shoreditch.  Both were very different!

It is always so difficult to know what to expect when we travel down to London.  In York we are lucky enough to have built up a great following and get such a buzz playing in front of 150+ people each time.  Starting out at the Bull and Gate however saw us performing in front of only 5 people!  Others did slowly come in and we eventually finished our half hour set to an appreciative group!

Last night on the other hand was great!!  Roose studios, a dingy warehouse type building separated into different rooms.  Two flights of stairs up, there are a couple of rooms full of people drinking and smoking.  At the end of the corridor a bar room and half way along a small room with a stage.  From the beginning to the end of our set the room was busy with people dancing, cheering, singing to our songs they had never heard...it was great!  It was almost like being back in York!

We left London last night at 1am, wanting to stay for longer and buzzing from such a great gig!  Thanks to everyone who was there and watched us and i hope we see you again!

December 2, 2008 - Tuesday

Hey everyone!

Just a quick one to let you all know what's going on at the moment.

Well...firstly we'd like to say a real big thank you to everyone who has filled in the form on our profile page, we will be annoucing who has made it on to the EP closer to the time of its release!  All the artwork has been confirmed now and the songs have been mastered.

Anyone who hasn't yet signed up to the mailing list, don't be thinking there is no point now though, because we will soon be giving everyone on the list a free download song ;-)  We haven't decided which one yet...but any suggestions would be grateful!

From our point of view we're really looking forward to our next trip to London on the 11th and we have a private party on the 12th there as well!  Then after the party season...we'll be back in the capital again for another longer session hopefully...we're just in the process of booking gigs for January.

In February we have organised, what can only be described as 'a fantastic night!'  Our hometown, a 500 capacity venue, 4 great bands and the official release of our EP...keep your eyes peeled for more news on this!

Oh and we also got a brand new song written at the weekend!  We'll be in the studio recording two news songs before Christmas :-D

So actually this wasn't really a quick one!!  But hey there is so much going on at the moment and we really are loving every second of The Sneakys! Hope you all are and that you're well.

Will be in touch again soon!

November 24, 2008 - Monday

Hey all!

Well we're back and we've had a great time down in London.  We played a good gig at Nambucca on Saturday night and we had two cameras filming the action.  The footage we've caught this week will be pieced together to create a live video and will be up on myspace, facebook and You Tube soon :)

We were also lucky enough to have a night out in Shoreditch House, a private members club and hang out for celebs!  It has a swimming pool on the top floor and the views over London are amazing!....needless to say we took in as much of that as we could!

Now we're back home and we've a lot to do!  We have discussed lots of exciting things with our manager and are very excited about the future!  So watch this space for regular updates, oh and if you haven't already, sign up to our newsletter on our profile....if you do, your name will be printed on the inside sleeve of our EP coming out in the new year :)

Hope everyone is well!

November 21, 2008 - Friday

Hi guys,

Another London show last night, this time at the Cobden Club. The night was a success but with many tales to tell....yet again!!

We started the night by going to get a bass amp on rental, as for many reasons mine is on it's last legs and most of the time doesn't work.
Then we soldiered on to the venue to soundcheck and all went really well.
Our manager arranged for photographer Chris Lopez to come and take some live shots which will be posted up very soon. We have seen them today and we are very happy with them!

We got a very good reception from the audience and the other acts were great too. We also had a couple of music industry PR types there which gave us some great feedback, which we really appreciated.

Today Paul and I took back the Bass amp. We set off at 8.15 and got to Uxbridge at about 9 and the rental guy didn't turn up until 11.30. So to say we did some waiting around might be a slight under exaggeration!

We made it back to Notting Hill for about 1 and had a meeting with our manager Darren and our new digital/web designer James, who is a really cool and enthusiastic guy!! We have been discussing our new EP which we will be releasing in the new year as a limited 250 copies only!!

Tonight we are going for a night out in Soho to relax before our gig tomorrow night at Nambucca at which we are getting filmed with footage going towards a new video we will be doing soon!!

Stay tuned for more updates!

November 19, 2008 - Wednesday

Hey all!

We have arrived! We're here in London and last night's show at Blow Up Metro, a dingy basement in central London with a great sound system was a success!  Only thing slightly frustrating was the fact that nearly all of RCA's A&R team turned up in force just after we came off stage to see their act...a bit of a bummer....but hey, we're definitely amongst it all!

So then to our hotel....i had to get the car parked safely across London (somewhere free :D), matt and rich went to our hotel, only one problem....they weren't allowed into the room until they paid the bill, and i had the money!!  For 45minutes Matt and Rich sat in the lobby waiting and the funniest thing is that matt had a headache! Rich's exact words were 'you were a right moody bastard last night Matt!!'...classic!  Anyway all was well in the end.

This morning started with pure comedy as well with luke warm showers, complete with the occasional freezing cold drip from the leaking roof, a budget breakfast and a t.v. with very little reception!!  But you know it's all great!  we're now in a meeting with new manager, Darren, talking about some new exciting ideas we have and we're looking forward to what the rest of the week will hold for us (including showcases in front of two major A&Rs, a top London stylist and ex in house Sony photographer! :D)....we're loving it!!

and so the journey continues...watch this space for the next London diary updates! :)

November 12, 2008 - Wednesday

Hey all! :) I'm sure lots of you will be anxious to know what's been going on since our new management deal so here's a quick update....but there will be more to follow!

I have recently given up teaching small kiddies about the ways of the world. Rich, after training to do PE teaching, scraped some money together by doing whatever he could!  Matt currently travels up and down the country lagging pipes....but now....we're moving forward better then ever, with a new management deal with the ex senior vice president of Sony Records!

On the 18th November, 'The Sneakys' will travel down the M1, in our trusty silver Citroen Xsara, to London, for the official start of our exciting journey with new management!

We will be there from the 18th to the 23rd November, then back again on the 11th December.  Whilst there, we will be of course doing the showcase gigs you see on our homepage, but will also be having meetings with lots of exciting people who will hopefully be joining The sneakypeeks team!  Including web designers, photographers and booking agents!...and we're hoping...record companies ;)

As well as this trip we're releasing an EP on the 26th January and the website is undergoing some changes!  The current one has been tidied up but will be changed again and a .com and .co.uk site will also be uploaded soon! All in all these are very exciting times for us and we're gonna keep you guys updated with blogs as things start to heat up!  So keep your eyes pealed! :D

Thanx so much for all your support this far and we hope you'll be just as excited as us about all this news :)

Loads of Sneaky Love for you all!

October 27, 2008 - Monday

Hey all!

There's some very exciting news on the sneaky front.  We are just in the process of signing a management contract with Compass Management.  A company based in London and recently set up by the ex-vice senior president of Sony Records who is going to manage us personally.  We have had a couple of meetings with him, both of which went really well and after he came up to see us play at our 'Damn Right' launch gig on Friday night and really loved us, we are all really excited about the time ahead!

So watch this space! :-)

October 27, 2008 - Monday

A massive thank you to all those people who made it down to Fibbers last Friday night.  Was great to see so many familiar and new faces down dancing away to our music :-)

As usual if anyone has any pics or vids they've taken we'd love to see them!

Sneaky love to you all
