Well now, where does the time go?!

Nearly 12 months has gone by since we let you all know what we've been up to! To be honest 2008 has been a bit of a blur! The highlights? New members (there are 10 of us now!), recording at Daves (thanks again Dave), festi season, Maker main stage and Hemp Spaces gigs, Paddy Mirage and Lost Vagueness stages at the Electric Picnic, the circus has put in some miles over the last year and we want to thank all of you who have booked us or danced in front of us for making it so much fun!

We've really enjoyed all the wonderful receptions that you lovely people have given us over the past year. We just want to let you all know that, although there aren't too many gigs on the map in the next month or 2, we are still on the scene and are alive and kicking. We're taking a little time off gigging and working to get some new music together in the dark cold winter months.

We are taking time off untill the end of Jan and then will be wheeling out the show again with a shiny new set and looking forward to some more venues near you in 2009

Till then

Big Circus love! X

Well, another month passes and circusy frolicks abound!

We begin the tale with a crazy trip to our capitol city, complete with foxy tour bus and the full rock and roll experience (including Mirror Ball Mills and a few rounds of zilch)! The trip was brilliant fun but London took it's toll and soon we were running home in search of a south west crowd.

With a gig at Maker to look forward to we got back to what we do best which is jamming and writing tunes at Hill Park Crescent. Watch this space, there is some funky shit waiting in the wings for your listening pleasure.

Just recovering from the Maker gig last night and watching Night Rider. Those of you that were there will realise we are fans! Thank you all for dancing, clapping and cheering like loonies! You are the best crowd around! Big up to the Hillside Heros as well who gave us an unfortunately short support. They are going far and we would love to share a bill with them again.

Now we must retire and nurse our hangovers.... We are gonna take a little time over Christmas to take stock, do some work on the set and work out how we handle our latest drummer issue. Paul, who came in at short notice and has worked his butt off learning the set and getting us through a busy summer, has tendered his notice and will be leaving at some point. Does anyone know of a good enough drummer to replace him?

Don't panic though we will be returning to a stage near you sometime in the New Year and ready to rock you once again. Also keep ypur eyes open for our CD. We are still working on it but hopefully you will be able to enjoy a few tracks of our original tunes in the not too distant future.

Big love to you all!

Current mood:Buzzing!

Well, what a month October has turned out to be!! New drummer Paulos has dropped into the groove and actually knows most of our songs now so we can start to really build from here. His baptism of fire has included 6 or seven rehersals, The Waveform Festival, Dartington College Freshers Ball, a weekend in the studio, an awful lot of red wine and a gig at The Junction in Mutley that just about lifted the rafters! (thanks to all of you who were there you left us buzzing!). This all from a man who up untill we got our hands on him had never drummed in public before!!! What a legend!

Speaking of legends we found another one. He is the piece of the jigsaw that we didn't even know was missing and he is the perfect ninth member of the band. Olly we love you! Olly Webb from  Dartington College is on board and giving us the sound and some of the kinds of opportunites we were looking for. He is currently working on a studio CD he is producing for us and as soon as it is done we will not waste any time getting on to you! Thanks Olly.

And then there is you lot! The audience reactions from our gigs this month have been wonderful. Thanks to everyone for turning out and screaming at us. It's what music is all about and we are so happy to be bringing it out to such appreciative audiences. Keep on keeping on and we will see you next time!

All our love

 Hello again,

Well it has been a while since our last epic blog...so much has happend it will be difficult to condense it into this fun filled little tale! The most memorable (well sort of) highlights have to be Maker festival, where we had the good company of our French friends Simpletone. Much fun and frivolity was had by all over the weekend, Simpletone played a blinder at the Hemp Space on the Thursday night as we warmed up for the Saturday spot. BenG looked particulary stunning as he drumed with blue sparkly nipples! The crowd was awsome and we were priveliged to witness some spectacular moves on the dance floor!

We recovered and regrouped somewhat with the addition of (yet another awsome drummer) Paul. He was right under Ed T's nose the whole time and what an overwhelmingly pleasant supprise he was on Monday night! Last night we played a loverly local gig at the Junction, once again the support from everyone was fantastic as we tooted, banged, plucked, strummed, sang and danced our way through the night.

Now (feeling a little hanging) we look on to tomorrow night as we play once more... in the depths of Cornwall!!!

A very enjoyable day had by all! We had the privelige of playing at Gaz's Rockin' Blues Bar - Soho on Thursday night...and what a night it was. The "caravan" wound its way to London via The Sunrise Festival in order to collect Mikey. We got on stage at midnight and in the words of Ed Trumpet "we all gave it beans." It was good to see Kiera K and Sienna dancing around (we shit you not). At one stage in the evening Lewis was literally on fire!

Thursdays events are slowly sinking in and we will all regroup shortly to reminisce about our madcap antics...

"Thursday was a laff wannum?!?!"

...and look forward to the next Big Top erection!
