sorry for the glitch in the basketball song mp3. i don't know what happened. i think maybe tom f*cked up when he loaded the song into the site. it really is a good song, though. don't be angry. go on a hike.

the mt. wilson repeater album is now finished. i played it for steve and he liked it. there are 11 songs. today seems like a nice day to take pictures. by the way, the picture on the profile page is me, taken by me. those aren't clouds, folks, that's griffith park burning in the background. the sun was coming through a layer of smoke, and it created the strangest orange and yellow atmosphere. it felt like the south pacific, but ashes were falling, like a nearby volcano erupted or something. good stuff.

posted here is a brand new interview from the latest issue of gardensahoy!-

(interview by jeff ghylgaxx)

jg: you just finished an album?
jp: yes, 12 songs.
jg: where?
jp: where else but in my garden!
(laughter)
jg: are there any birds in your garden right now?
jp: i just saw a hummingbird.
jg: flying?
jp: yes. the very rare brown kind.
(laughter)
jg: who all played on the new album?
jp: just me.
jg: you played all the instruments?
jp: yes. guitar, piano, drums, flutes, shotgun, horse hoofs, etc.
jg: but no animals were injured, right?
jp: well, if you need to know, i stepped on my dog's foot.
jg: is it a lucky dogsfoot?
(laughter)
jp: clever, jeff.
jg: sorry. did you use any potting soil?
jp: no, but i used pot.
(laughter, more laughter)
jg: so what inspired you to make the album? i noticed there are a lot of "beads in metal cans" type sounds, and some snare hits. is the foundation in the control room solid?
(again, laughter)
jp: the inspiration came when i crashed my plane into this orangegrove in san bernadino. my cat and i were on our way to visit some friends in the desert, but we ran out of fuel. there was a clog in the fuel line, i had to dump the rest and "go for the grove" as they say in flight school. i wasn't scared, though. i knew i would make an album.
jg: were you hurt?
jp: broke both legs.
jg: ouch! and the cat?
jp: what cat?
(laughter)
jg: crabgrass in the wheelbarrow!
jp: you said it.
jg: thanks, jim. look forward to hearing the album.
jp: thank you jeff.
