Just thought I would say so.

I checked the long count calendar of my life.
Maple has been together for 9 years on 5/15/08.

..and you thought you had to "beware the ides of March".
No, I say!
Tis the ides of May!
That should properly cause dismay.

Just a reminder that if you end up in Annapolis then take a listen to WRYR 97.5 fm. They are a low-power fm station and one of their DJ's agreed to have us on.

So if you have a chance, give 'em a listen.

Well I haven't posted anything here in roughly six months. We have been getting together our CD "MAPLE}" for a long long time; 1,000 copies should arrive at my doorstep this coming Wednesday the 19th of March. You will be hearing about this. The record has 12 tracks the standouts being "Just a Thought" "Memphis" and "Our Last Goodbye". A six page fold out was done by Duy Tran photography, and it uses of at least one photo of both me and my guitar screaming.

Current mood:AWESOME!
Oh wow. Inner ear studios. It rocked, we got so much done. I need to hear it again tomorrow to see if I still like it, but it seemed like it was awesome. Two more songs, Guitar overdubs, Vocals, Mixing and Mastering remain. But once we are there, it will be rock!

Last night's show was fun, yet again. We did most of our same set and numerous covers prompted by persuasive audience members. "PLAY ELVIS COSTELLO!!!!" "PLAY 'LAID' by JAMES!!!!!!" "PLAY BROWN EYED GIRL!!!!" I feel like such a pushover, but in a goodway (?!?!). One other thing: apologies to the crowd going to Bob and Edith's after the show. After getting the equipment out of the car and into our practice space, Marco noticed something going wrong with his car and wanted to make sure he got home with his car intact. So we couldn't go to Bob and Edith's, sorry. Rock on. Good night.

Tonight's show was really fun for me. I went a little crazy (like always) and the people liked it. I made a spectacle for you guys. We hit some high points. I defintely threw in a boatload of irony, but when we were serious I think it got over all the better. I am so glad that people came, and had a good time. I hope to see you guys again at the Velvet Lounge on the 18th.

Current mood:  ecstatic
Okay, so the problems we are currently running into at shows are: PA systems that don't allow me to hear my own weak voice. Things that are really awesome about our shows: Everything else. I had a freaking wonderful time at the Austin Grill tonight. I feel like a rock star.
