Art Land is a visual arts event taking place in Bishop Auckland, a market town in the west of County Durham from the 10th – 26th April 2009.
The festival will take the form of a programme of temporary artistic interventions throughout the town during the festival period. A further focus of temporary activity will also take place over the weekend of 18th of April, when Bishop Auckland Annual Food Festival takes place.
Art Land aims to demonstrate how artists can explore perception of everyday objects, experiences and locations through temporary site specific interventions, installations and performances in publicly accessible non-arts venues.
Art Land has been kindly supported by Arts Council England - North East, Bishop Auckland Town Council, Wear Valley District Council and Go-North East.
