I already posted a bulletin about this, but here it is again in the blog.

If you're looking for a superior luthier/guitar tech in the area, Shane Callahan (Callahan Guitars) has just moved into our rehearsal space -- Red Planet in Clifton Heights. Shane is a graduate of the Roberto Venn school in Arizona --- if you know about RV, then you know it represents pretty serious talent.

With 8th Street Music now in Jersey and no real full service boutique shops in Philly, musical instrument resources are getting scarce in the area, and I was having a really hard time finding a trustworthy luthier to do work on my stuff. I'm REALLY anal about my instruments.

Shane has now done fretwork and setups for two of my more "difficult" instruments --- my '72 "Frankencaster" Tele and my new 8-string. The quality of the work was superb and I am extremely impressed with the attention to detail, quick turnaround, and personal service. Shane isn't condescending and is great about explaining exactly what he's doing and keeping your needs in mind. He also keeps convenient hours.

I'm posting this on my own without any request from Shane --- I just think that this is a terrible economic climate to be setting up shop in a new place, and the quality of the work absolutely deserves a free plug.

Callahan guitars is in our top friends.
