Well, since we’ve been pretty slack about releasing any news about the band here on myspace I thought I’d play catch up.
Rhythm guitarist Andy Pond (Edsel) and drummer Chris Welty (Nimrod) left the band some time ago. We thank them for their contributions and wish them well in future endeavors.
We are now back to our original four members Trog, Strobo, Auto and Max.
Max, who was formerly on keyboards is now playing live drums. He’s already dazzling audiences with his relentless drumming onslaught and plans to add some one-handed keyboard melodies to the mix.
We are preparing artwork for our first album. We'll be re-recording a couple of the songs to address some minor issues, but we should have the album out this month.
Our live set has expanded considerably with new songs. Hoorah!
We just played a show at TSI in Jacksonville April 10th. The Folio Weekly wrote a nice article about the upcoming show. I wish it were online so I could link it up. I’ll scan it in soon. The crowd was great though and really got into the spirit of the action.
Postproduction of the Killer Robots movie is moving along at a brisk pace. Animated pick up shots are almost complete. Several live action pick up shots are waiting to be captured.
As for live shows, we’ve got a CD release party in the works, a show with the Kung Fu Dykes sometime in June and maybe a Gainesville show somewhere in there. Strobo is at work in his laboratory working some new monsters for the shows.
Well that's all I can think of right now. Hopefully we'll have some CD news to report soon.
