Hi all. We were booked in to play a xmas show at the Cavan Hotel this Saturday, but due to unforeseen circumstances, Roady cant make the show, but as 'they say' ... the show must go on, and seeing its Christmas and all, Davin and Lee have decided they will play the show as a 2 piece, one microphone and an acoustic guitar and re-work Double Dragon songs and perform some of their favourite songs that have influenced the band over the years. Davin and Lee have been working hard all week, practicing every night to make sure that this will be a 'Double Dragon' show that you will not forget.
The show is on the 12/12/2009 @ THE CAVAN HOTEL ( CAVAN ) outside in the beer garden, there is lots of metal on before hand, THE SCABS, SPLATTERGASM, OFFICER DOWN + MORE.
In no particular order the songs they will be playing are:
Breathing Fire Space They Cannot Touch ( KATE MILLER HEIDKE ) Prelude For The Damned My Kantele ( AMORPHIS ) Black Sails Of Armageddon Suicide Note Part 1 ( PANTERA - RIP BROTHER DIME! ) Dead But Still Killing The Thunder Rolls ( GARTH BROOKES ) Down in a Hole ( ALICE IN CHAINS - RIP LAYNE! ) The Brother Slayer ( AMORPHIS )
Double Dragon apologize for the fact we are not playing a set, but lets face it Adelaide has plenty of opportunity to see us most months, and we promise that Lee and Davin willl deliver the goods and give you a memorable show.
lml or... FOLK AS FUCK CUNTS!!!

A CROSS CONTINENT MISH MASH WITH A REUNION OF SORTS? READ ON... The people of the internet.. thanks for taking the time out of your work / wank / stalking time to read this very important bulletin regarding Double Dragon, Truth Corroded, Ben 'Moify-twinkle fingers' Murphy and Davin ' Id rape a dog to go on tour with anyone' Buttery. Everyone knows, that Truth Corroded are our boys. Brothers from other mothers if you will. Due to some really unfortunate circumstances, Truth Corroded's wrist riffing machine Mark Lennard will NOT be playing Truth Corroded's upcoming and exciting tour of Japan / China and Bangcok. The TC guys approached us to see if we could lend our guitarist Dav to help out, and seeing as Dav has helped out TC before on our last tour of Perth, and seeing us they are dumb enough to actually want Dav's services, we happily obliged, on the condition that they completely fuck the cunt up, make him have a terrible time and stir him up about being the biggest band hopping Adelaide Slut there ever has been. We have seen Dav play with Truth Corroded before in Perth, on our recent Devastation Decimation run of perth, and low and behold, the cunt did an alright job and if he wasn’t moonlighting from DD, we wouldnt have thrown rocks at him... despite our stoning backlash, really it was alright. Truth Corroded will be playing with Davin in Adelaide nov ??? for a once of special show. In fear of Davin embarrasing the shit out of the Truth Corroded fans, band and legacy, Truth Corroded have decided to play under the guise of "The Warlords Crawl" just incase he fucks it up and causes the Adelaide TC fans to riot.
SPECIAL SHOW ONE NIGHT ONLY – DAV with TRUTH CORRODED.
TRUTH CORRODED: THRASH AND CONQUER – ASIA 2009

So while Davin uses all our years of contacts to further his own goals, we are left with a month to do fuck all, and as all of you probably know, if there is one thing Double Dragon dont like, its doing nothing at all. So we decided to get on the old dog and bone and see if Sir Moifalot would like to play a special show with us, playing all of our older material, the songs that helped us get big enough so his future replacements would get the chance to tour with TC - and he said, yeah fuck yeah, Dav's a cunt, I wouldnt do this for anyone or anyother reason, but yeah, lets destroy it one last time, as long as we can play IN THE PLACE WHERE THE SONGS WERE CONCIEVED. So, we are getting our old mate Carmen from House Of Sap ( POORAKA / McGowan ST ) to build as a special stage in the chill area where the pool tables are, and we have invited our buddies MATAHORN ( 70's cover band ) and TROOPS OF DOOM ( Sepultura Cover band ) to come and rock out with us till the wee hours. please note... Dav's a cunt, but we love him.

Megadeth/ Double Dragon Thebarton Theatre Sunday 11 October
The last minute withdrawal of Slayer from tonight’s intended double-headlining show with Megadeth certainly dampened a few spirits. Several punters were seen to opt for a refund, but the very great majority of the sold-out crowd were still happy to part with their hard-earned and were rewarded with a longer set from Adelaide’s own Double Dragon. The increasingly receptive crowd was treated to a bulldozing performance drawn mainly from their excellent ‘Devastator’ album plus a few choice oldies. I have seen Double Dragon a few times now over the last couple of years and their performances just keep getting better and tighter. They continue to hone their craft and clearly relished the chance to play a big stage (where they were very much at home) in front of their home crowd. Beneath The City Of Churches was a real highlight, full of seething menace and groove and by the end of their set the pit was in a frenzy. Their performance was full of energy and passion, and it was easy to see why Double Dragon secured the national support slot for this tour. With a new album planned for 2010, further success surely lies ahead. After an interval that includes an impromptu sing-along to ‘Maiden’s Two Minutes To Midnight, Dave Mustaine and his cohorts took to the darkened stage one by one to a deafening reception before launching into the opening salvos of what would prove to be a blazing and memorable set drawn from throughout a career now approaching twenty-five years. Old favourites Devil’s Honour and Tornado Of Souls got a new lease of life and took on an almost epic quality as Megadeth took advantage of the full-length set to really stretch out. Mustaine and his relatively new sidekick Chris Broderick were shredding and trading solos like there was no tomorrow. The two guitarists each have their own distinctive and complementary individual styles, and this added a new edge to the older material. Testimony to the rebirth of Megadeth as a vital and relevant force in modern metal, though, was the equally fervent response to more recent material such as The System Has Failed, the punk-tinged Washington Is Next! from 2007’s ‘United Abominations’ and Headcrusher from the outstanding new album ‘Endgame’. Mustaine was in a gregarious mood and he informed the crowd that they did invite Slayer guitarist Kerry King to join them onstage but even when this failed to eventuate it did little if anything to diminish the crowd’s energy and enthusiasm. A raucous Peace Sells… But Who’s Buying? brought the main set to a close, before the band returned for an encore comprising an extended run-through of the instrumental Dialectic Chaos from ‘Endgame’ and a rousing Holy Wars …The Punishment Due. So, no Slayer and that was obviously a disappointment, but Double Dragon and Megadeth made up for their absence with blazing performances that still sent the crowd home very happy. James McKenzie
