I will be leaving for Austin Tuesday morning. I will be without internet until Friday night which will drive me nuts but I'll deal.

So while I'm gone I will twitter from my phone to say hey to everyone and I'll take lots of pictures and video so I can blog about my trip when I get back.

For those who don't know, I will be singing the National Anthem at the opening ceremonies for the Texas Credit Union League Conference on Wednesday around lunch. This is the 75th anniversary of the conference so it is a big deal. The TCUL covers all of Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma. Joe Nichols has been hired to perform a limited seat concert on Thursday night after the annual dinner. I will be attending with back stage passes to meet Joe after the show.

Most of all I'll get the opportunity to sing in front of 7000 people which, for those who know me well, know I live for performing and this is right up my alley. I'm grateful for the opportunity to sing at this event.

I'll definitely be recording this and will try to have it in digi format this weekend,

Keep me in your thoughts as I travel and I hope to have some exciting stories when I get back!

Received this from a co-worker ...Says it has been verified as a possible threat on TV and by the WFPD.. Beware and be careful please!!!

Just a note to all.....

There is a rumor going around about gangs having an initiation sometime
this week at a Wal-Mart here in town.  As most of you know, Clint ( my
husband )  works for Wally World and has spoken with the WFPD as well as
Detectives who have confirmed this rumor from a reliable source.  They
don't believe it will be local gangs but rather someone from another
city.
The rumor has suggested they will be targeting women and even children.
I
don't believe anything has been announced on the news, but just as a
precaution, please be careful while out the next few days.

I will try to keep you posted if more information becomes available.
Hopefully, there is no truth to the rumor, but just in case, please be
careful

Ok those friends not from Texas we have been having horrible weather. Now today the roads were nothing but sheets of ice but I got my rear out of bed, got dressed and left early to head to work. Now I didn't have any trouble because I'm a safe driver and don't drive like a nut on ice, but we have people here that irritate me on the roads.
AKA- the people with 4X drive that think it gives them the right to drive 60 MPH in the ice. Little piece of info you may have forgotten, you may be able to drive faster than I can on ice but you can't stop any faster.
Our weather is supposed to be back in the 60's by the weekend. *Shakes head* Texas....

I've seen a lot of people online having issues with their relationships.

This can be with their parents, siblings, friends, lovers, hubby's or whatever.

I've been blessed with an awesome husband and we have a great relationship and it has taught me a few things that I remind myself frequently.

1. Relationships are WORK!!!! If you expect them to be perfect all of the time with no effort it really just doesn't work that way. There are going to be things that annoy you about the other person. You are two separate people and although you share so many of the same things, you will have differences of opinion and that is OK! You don't have to agree and having a disagreement isn't bad.

2. Remember that good, bad or indifferent, your family is your family... quirks and all. You may not like everything they do and they may embarrass you at times but they are the only family you have and you have to embrace them. If you don't, when they are gone you will wish you had. Say you love them often, especially the older members because you never know when "The Call" will come and that's a hard pill to swallow. Learn as much as you can from them about your family. Those are stories you won't find in books or pictures that makes you who you are.

3. If you want to keep things fresh and new and interesting in a relationship then find new things to do together. Don't leave your relationship like a dusty book on a shelf and never open it up. Dust the cobwebs off and think of new ways to enjoy each other. The person you love is still in there and hasn't changed, you just have to find ways to keep the relationship you have new and interesting. Then it doesn't turn into "7 year itch". It all goes bank to Number 1 WORK!

I'm not perfect nor do I claim to be, but I learn from my own experiences everyday to cherish what I have, to be grateful for the relationships I have with others, and to be happy.  Lately it has frustrated me that divorce has become an easy option for couples unwilling to communicate at all and letting their relationship turn sour. There are ways to rekindle what was there if you put forth some effort. While yes, some relationships cannot be salvaged, I believe MOST can.

Anyhow, while doped up on Stadol for my migraine, and sleeping all day this is what hits me. Hoping it didn't turn out to be a doped out rant LMAO.

Rhiannon, who is usually a hypocondriac(sp?) says to me this morning, "My stomach hurts". I say... "You're fine, get ready for school"... she goes to bathroom and pukes... oops... so I guess her stomach WAS hurting this time.

So here I am at home with sick kid who you would otherwise know NOTHING was wrong with her.. I think I'll kill her before the days over.. she runs to the bathroom (Not throwing up) then back to her room where she is having mini-singing concerts. then to the bathroom to dry heave again.

Is she really my kid? the answer is YES, Yes she is,,,
