it's
st. patrick's day so we know you'll be drinking anyway or you hate my
heritage (and i will fight you....not that you should be worried about
that), so why not do it at a show?

We just finished recording our upcoming EP last night.  Logan did an amazing job with it, and we will be putting it out as soon as we get all the annoying (read: expensive) packaging stuff done.  They are going to be refined versions of the skeletons that we have posted right now.  Keep your eyes peeled.

Here is the show in a few segments. Thanks to Gene Cesspool for filming and interneting it. See all kinds of awesome shows that he's had at au.youtube.com/genecesspool

Here's the state of the union. Jason is out, Erik is in his place. Logan from Faatherton will be joining us. We are going to try to start recording as soon as possible, and put out something, and we're really hoping that something is vinyl. We are going to get the van fixed and start traveling more. Also, it might be possible that we will all become more efficient people, with any luck.

We started off driving 8 hours to De Kalb, Illinois, which is outside Chicago. It turns out that there are about five miles on I-44 in Missouri that aren't under construction, which is great, and it was topped off by the biggest clusterfuck we have ever seen getting onto I-55. We got to Chicago and played with two amazing bands, the Metroids and the New Times Romans, and drank really tall beers and had band badges from the venue. DIY or die! We then proceeded to the Attic house, where those guys, including people from Little Headhunter and Scratch and Sniff Records, showed us a fantastic time, and cooked us some delicious pasta. We love all you De Kalb people.

The next day we spent stuck in Illinois traffic, and missed our Cleveland show that was pretty sketchy to begin with, especially being a Sunday night, so we parked in a local park, and after downing a couple bottles of champagne to celebrate, we went to bed. About half an hour later we got rolled on by either a cop or a park security officer (more likely), but we could tell because she wouldn't stop shining her spotlight directly on us. After a half-asleep Shawn somehow (he doesn't remember some of this) talked us out of it, we went and slept behind a Shell gas station that wasn't that receptive to Beau using their bathroom. So we went on their walls.

Day three was in Pittsburgh. We had an off night, and hung out with Jeremy from the Sea Like Lead, which is a great band that you should listen to. After a fantastic night of locally brewed beer and veggie dogs and burgers, we slept, woke up, and wrote this. Pittsburgh is a suprisingly great city, and everyone should visit. Special thanks to Jeremy. You are great.

We are about to drive to Brooklyn. We miss everyone at home, but not THAT much. I mean, we're about to go to New York. Say hi to Pro Bass for me.

We just finished up drums recording at Tranquility Island.  That place is truly magical, and we should sound a lot better than we really are.

Don't forget about our show on December 29 at the Outland Ballroom.

We are going to be cutting back on shows in order to write more new songs and prepare to record.  We might post rough demos, and probably we will post live mp3's from the Bullet Train to Vegas show that actually reflect our current sound.

Stay tuned
