FeedMe Music had their third awesome success at indigO2 and what a night it was for Starseed, Stealing Green, Headspace, Where's Billy?,  Phantom Lacuna and Demure.

Here is what these guys had to say

The organisation, production and management of the event was just pure class from start to finish, FeedMe Music put on the spread and set the stage for what was probably one of the greatest nights in Starseed’s career! The venue was just beautiful from the main stage, to the backstage and our fans just loved the whole experience. IndigO2 is without a doubt one of the best venues in London and we are just so proud to have played. Thank all you folks at FeedMe, we love you! - Andy, Starseed
***********************************************************************************

The night was a testament to Feedme Music and illustrated perfectly why they won promoter of the year at the Indy Music Awards.  This is a huge venue to get unsigned bands into and for us it was the best gig we've ever played, bar none, in so many respects.

Indig02 is arguably one of the finest venues in the world to listen to live music.  The stage is incredible, the lighting is world-class and the PA is simply mind-blowing.  It's a far cry from playing at your local!  If you get the opportunity to play here, grab it with both hands!  We left the stage feeling like heroes.  Best gig ever.  - Jovan, Stealing Green
************************************************************************************

Playing at such a prestegious venue can do no wrong for any up and coming band, the sound, lighting and organisation is first class. Trouble is, having been spoilt we don't want to play any venues below that exceptionally high standard. Our advice to anyone with the opportunity to play there, do it, you'll really struggle to find a better venue and you definitely won't find a better promoter than FeedMe Music.
FeedMe Music + Indig02 = Unsigned artists heaven - Mike, Where's Billy?
************************************************************************************

Playing at the Indigo2 was an incredible experience. The iconic venue which boasts the very best sound and lighting provided the perfect showcase for Phantom Lacuna and all the bands on the well coordinated line-up. Before working with FeedMe Music, Phantom Lacuna were big fish in a small pond, working very hard just treading water on the Kentish pub circuit. FeedMe Music have allowed us to shine on reputable stages and present ourselves to a much wider audience in a way that lets us compete with our real contemporaries. Thanks to these opportunities and the genuine sense of belief the FeedMe team have instilled in us, Phantom Lacuna have raised their game and are going from strength to strength. - Richard, Phantom Lacuna
************************************************************************************

Playing the indigo2 with FeedMe Music was soo epic and soo awesome, it was like the first time... short, but oh soo sweet! lol" - Chris, Demure

"Great ballsy rock night! great people. Rock is back and here to stay!" - John, Demure

"It was so amazing, that I was sick in my mouth through pure awesomeness!" - Phil, Demure

"We felt that the evening was a huge success for everyone involved, thanks FeedMe" - Neil, Demure

"Starseed's set caused bouncer's to be introduced in the moshpit, this was legendary. Buckeroo anyone??" - Chris, Demure

"I hope we have another opportunity play there again! We where totally at home on the big stage there and the venues sound was amazing!"  - John, Demure

************************************************************************************

FeedMe strive continuously to bridge the gap between unsigned bands and playing at top professional venues. If you are taking your band seriously and want to move forward  - at the beginning you are your own marketing tool and it will pay off so you do get the opportunity to play iconic venues.

Continue to work at building your fan base and not rely on your friends all the time. The comments are from FMM bands who had one of the most incredible nights of their music career.

See you at the next one - maybe?

The Syllabus Music Platform have teamed up with Pure Play Music to create 'Mobile Discovery'. Giving unsigned artists the chance to be featured on a mobile memory card that will be sold with mobile phones globally. The best 50 unsigned acts from a variety of genres will have two of their songs, images and weblinks displayed on the card with the purpose of gaining mass exposure in aid of launching the artist into the mainstream.

If you have already been contacted by Lauren at Syllabus make sure that you respond as this an awesome opportunity for your tracks to have national exposure.

FMM would also like to thank Lauren and the Syllabus Music Platform Team for approaching so many of the great bands that we work with and if you are in the St Pancras area of London - check out the Thursday night Station Sessions at St Pancras as they have been extremely well received by the thousands of commuters who pass through station at rush hour.

Saturday 4th July was a celebratory day for many people, for many reasons but FeedMe Music's very own Alli Hodge was helping the Pride Team by organising and running the Women's Stage and making London's Gay Headquarters - Soho, go with a swing.

Thousands of people gathered to watch Kimberly Anne, Neon Choir, Laura Steel, MC Angel, Jess Gardham, Ruth Cullen, Kal Lavelle, The Berettas, Anna Sinfield, Nicolette Street, Kenelis sing and play there original tracks and keeping the tunes pumping between the awesome artists were DJ Sandra Dee and DJ Cupcake.

Kimberly Anne had the one of the most incredible performances of her life as she asked the 1000+ strong audience to be her backing track - after teaching them the chorus - she continued with the track and as the chorus kicked in everyone sang her words back,  which blew Kimberly Anne away and brought audience together in the most amazing finale to her set.

Over on the main stage FMM favourites Suzerain, Elouise and Pale Day wowed the crowd in Trafalgar Square and sharing the stage with the legend of Dame Edna Everidge.

A big thank you to Alli and Lauren for making the Women's Stage run so smoothly and being an utter success. Also, a huge thank you to all the FMM artists that took time out to make Pride 2009 an awesome success.

Rock and Roll Question Time - Applescruffs....

 ....

1)    What was the first single/album you bought?....

Nick: Guns N Roses – Appetite for Destruction. Although for some reason my Dad wasn’t very happy with it, he’s always been a bit of a mod....

Fraser: No idea! Going back too far!....

Shaun: After calling Fraser a forgetful old b*****d! I think it was a single, the Levi’s spaceman song! Great track got it at Virgin in Woking. How that place will be missed. It is where John, Nick and I met… great days....

John: Spaceman?? What a load of crap… Madness, Baggy Trousers album.....

.. ..

2)    Was it vinyl/cassette/CD?....

Nick: Cassette....

Shaun: CD....

John: Cassette....

.. ..

3)    When did you realise that taking over the world with your music was your chosen career path?....

Nick: When my Gran bought me a Spanish guitar when I was 12! I started living the lifestyle of a rock star age 16. I thought it better to be in a band – slightly more acceptable that way.....

Fraser: Primary school when I was about 5… knew back then did not want to have a shitty 9-5 job.....

Shaun: Apparently I used to stand in my play pen thing as a kid doing the Status Quo guitar movements so all the way back when, I guess. The Quo, legends! Blame it on my Dad though for bringing me up on it…. They also gave me a dodgy Parfitt haircut!!....

John: When the Apleescruffs formed.....

.. ..

4)    Did you have a career advisor at school and if so what did they initially suggest?....

Nick:  Yeah, we had one and I was told that I would fail in every aspect in life because of my attitude….hmmmm….not very motivating if you ask me!....

Fraser: Yeah, suggest further education....

Shaun: I can’t remember… ‘John did they have schools when you were young?’....

John: I can’t remember......

.. ..

5)    What has been your best gig to date and why?....

Nick; John; Shaun: } All three: Definitely The 100 Club on Oxford Street was the best, sound was great, crowd were amazing, historic venue and looking around at all the pictures of the bands who have played there too. I mean the same stage as Weller, Oasis, Jet, The Who and legends like that – it was a great experience. We all said afterwards – ‘yeah, we could actually do this boys’…. Though if you ever go there for a gig. Watch the step up as you go into the toilets…deadly. Oh and the promotion company who got the gig weren’t bad either… teehee…....

Fraser: New boy! My first gig as part of The Applescruffs is coming up at the end of the month in Woking but I guess so far would have to be at The Bestival, just for the amount of people there.....

.. ..

6)    If you could support any band in the world at any venue in the world, who and where?....

Nick: Oasis at Madison Square Gardens… what a night that would be....

Fraser: Paul Weller at Wembley....

Shaun: that’s the hardest question in the world, er, The Who? No, No, I’d support Jet in Old Trafford – the theatre of dreams....

John: Eagles of Death Metal somewhere, anywhere in LA....

.. ..

7)    How many instruments can you play?....

Nick: 6, well 7 if you include my special flute…. And to be fair I don’t really need the rest but helps for the live shows y’know....

Fraser: NONE!?....

Shaun: Errr, just about one at a push, triangle count? Well the throat also….2....

John: Jack of All, Master of None (Shaun/Nick ‘none then’)....

.. ..

8)    Can you read music?....

Nick: No....

Fraser: No....

Shaun: No....

John: No....

Fraser: Unless drum score counts?....

Nick, Shaun, John: No they don’t....

Fraser: Oh!....

.. ..

9)    If your band could cover a particular song, which song do you think it would be?....

Nick: Won’t Get Fooled Again by The Who. Lights and drums and all, explosives would be a bonus, preferably next to Shaun though....

Fraser: The Locomotion, Kylie version. Dancing and all…....

Shaun: Our first ever gig as a band we covered Shoot the Runner by Kasabian, I’d do that one againjust to hear johnscream the high notes again…it was a disaster, erm but seriously… I think!....

John: Hey Bulldog - Beatles....

Shaun: Never heard of it, ....

John: You’re fired....

10)         Who or which band has inspired you the most creatively?....

Nick: Paul Weller, fellow Woking boy, best songs ever....

Fraser: Have to say Oasis....

Shaun: Kelly Jones, Stereophonics is a legend, he is a great song writer and singer....

John: Beatles. Pure Genius….....

.. ..

11)         Who or which band has inspired your element of ‘cool’?....

Nick: Oasis, no wait Elvis!! Definitely Elvis., burgers and all....

Fraser: Shaun....

Nick: Tosser....

Shaun; John: Oasis – they always look cool, coolest band ever. FACT!....

.. ..

.. ..

12)         Have you ever busked in the street?....

Nick: No....

Fraser: No....

Shaun: Yeah – at a village fete in Lightwater, not exactly rock and roll but I did earn a couple of quid and learn how to look cool, eventhough next to me was a stand selling knitting equipment… not my finest hour....

John: No....

.. ..

13)         Are you signed yet?....

All: No we are working on it, we are currently recording new material at Chicken Shack studios in Woking and building up our gig list for the year which can be found at www.myspace.com/applescruffstheband....

We have recorded a demo already with the legend that is Jake Gosling at Sticky Studios in Windlesham, he was worked with people like Amy Winehouse, Wiley and of course David Guest. He was a twat though apparently, hope that you don’t get in trouble Jake! The demo is on the website so have a listen… spread the word…. Make us famous, please?....

.. ..

14)         Who are the band members and what do they play?....

Nick: Lead guitar and vox....

Fraser: Drums....

Shaun: Lead vox and rhythm guitar....

John: Commander Scruff  - bass and backing vox....

.. ..

15)         Scarlett Johansson or Angelina Jolie – having a cuppa with and nothing else?....

Nick: Jolie, even for a cuppa, Johansson is a dog!....

Fraser: Johansson – Jolie is ugly....

Shaun: for a cuppa? It’s got to be Scarlett, Jolie would be far too hot to resist! Actually she may start on about her 200 kids, Johansson, plus she has been in a film with Bill Murray, def Johansson.....

John: Johansson – much fitter!....

.. ..

 Johansson 3 – Jolie 1 – Sorry Pitt!!

Applescruffs are playing with FMM at The 100 Club Thursday 19th March 2009.

How many people came to FeedMe Music’s Glow at indigO2… ?....

1000+ that’s how many…..!!!....

Saturday  7th February at indigO2 was a record breaking night for FMM and we are still buzzing in the office days later and I expect we shall continue to do so for a while yet.....

Let me tell you in glorious detail about the whole day ….....

Sound checks and productions were not seamless but the team and bands were professional to the core and everyone got on with it and before you knew we were running to time again. Final briefings, final checks and final calls took place while a 200 strong queue stood outside in the bitter winds clutching banners of their  favourite band of the evening and rushing the doors to claim prime positioning against the barrier.....

The openers Callecoma, a band with a playful energy and sound that lifted the crowd and set the standard for the night of impeccable music ahead.....

FranKo  were next up and these indie boys are have an unusually intelligent songs for ones so young, they have more industry buzzing around them than sexually expressive ladies in Van Halen’s dressing room, so it will be exciting to see how far these guys go.....

Tremain melted onto the stage and changed the vibe with their soulful harmonies and chocolate lyrics. This Portsmouth based band have a huge London following and the crowd lapped up the delicious melodies sung by Leonie and band.....

Elouise was up next and she along with her gorgeous guys and girls set the crowd reeling with her upbeat motown.  Elouise’s  show was tight, the choreography sublime and her distinct satin voice filled the auditorium, making everyone dance and feel really good.....

A change of sound came with alternative rockers Suzerain but people were up for anything. The crowd loved the heavier riffs and sultry tunes that they are known for.  Suzerain’s stage theatrics and wild demeanour brought everything back up to boiling point perfectly for the headliners….....

KUBLA KHAN….. the heavenly brass section blew everyone into a funk fuelled frenzy! The crowd went wild for them and this was a big deal for them as it was their official EP launch and I hear that sales for the EP after the show was incredible.....

So what a night, a few quick thanks to all the crew FOH and management at indigO2, especially Sam for looking after us so well on the day, very professional and extremely relaxed our perfect combo.....

Alli, Steve, Shazz, Glenn, Lauren and Bradley the FMM team that ran the show and realised after 12 hours straight they had not had a break.....

Dave and Alli, the MD’s are quoted to say ‘that was the proudest moment in the FMM history of the nine years we have been running!’....

So if you are interested in becoming part of the FMM plethora of talent we want to hear from you. To be considered for indigO2 it is invite only as you have to build your relationship with us by playing our smaller venues first. ....

To sign up go to our website http://www.feedmemusic.co.uk and register your band, we shall check you out and if you suit any of our nights and you agree to our terms and conditions you could be booked into any of our central London venues,  PUNK in Soho, Sound in Leicester Square, ‘36’ on Shaftsbury Avenue, ‘229’ at Great Portland Street or The 100 Club on Oxford Street.....

If you have any queries email alli.hodge@feedmemusic.co.uk or steve.gray@feedmemusic.co.uk and they will be happy to help.....

Next GLOW at indigO2 has been confirmed at Saturday 2nd May 2009.....
