After a deep hiatus, this is the latest Electronic Soundscapes summer mailout.

After a considerable amount of preparation, hard work and development, Electronic Soundscapes is happy to announce ES 002 :

Zen Lemonade – Babylondon

A mature and long awaited sonic milestone.

An interesting perspective of contemporary electronica adaptations, blend with studio sessions and a more “classic” rock band philosophy.
The album is already out on all known record stores.

Check samples + Sales Note here:

As a treat to whoever buys the album, there is a unique video clip of “Petrushka”, taken from the original footage of Zen Lemonade Live In Athens.

Electronic Soundscapes and Arash Atman were proudly part of the Future Sound Of London Live In Athens event.

A new page in electronic music history was written on the 23rd of May at the Olympic Softball Stadium in Athens.
The Future Sound Of London performed their 7th Live in 20 years, all in a global first show setup that premiered in Athens !
Future Sound Of London transmitted Live and direct from their studio in England via ISDN.

On the night, Medea Electronique – Drog-A-Tek – Zen Garden Semantic – Joalz and Alexander Kowalski supported Future Sound Of London and Arash Atman spined an all exclusive Electronic Soundscapes opening DJ set.

You can check more at :

www.existenzproductions.com ..

Existenz Productions presented the Funktion 1 Sound System to the Greek audience for the first time, plus a massive interactive 22 metres wide and 6 metres high visual installation.

Arash Atman was the technical supervisor and head stage manager of the event.
A night to remember and a top story to tell to your grand children in the years to come.

Some tasty albums are already getting prepared for 2010, as well as more interesting projects which will be announced as soon as they are further developed.

On a side note I was privileged to be on a concert of 2 very favourite musicians this year at the Athens Megaron.
The Herbie Hancock sextet and Omar Faruk Tekbilek Live.
Herbie Hancock and Omar Faruk Tekbilek ,except being ground breaking musicians are also remarkable and open minded human beings.
Make sure you will witness their music universe if they are having a show in your town.

That’s it for now

After a considerable amount of work and preparation and a heavy shooting schedule for Arash Atman, Electronic Soundscapes is taking important steps towards an approach of contemporary electronica through releases, events and films.

Hope you enjoyed reading up to here !

Greetings to everyone
Excuses for not being able to update Electronic Soundscapes plans and actions .

Time is very limited and there are many activities happening simultaneously on various
directions.

Good news is that the next Electronic Soundscapes event is happening in a few days from now.

- Friday 28 November 2008

A special event, celebrating the next Electronic Soundscapes album by Zen Lemonade
"Babylondon" to be released in February.

An innovating album combining live played and recorded instruments and vocals, properly done like in the good old days of music recording albums - all twisted and processed in an electronic way.

An album that opens up new directions and takes electronic music production one step further.

Electronic Soundscapes concluded that there is no better place to launch an exclusive early pre listen of "Babylondon" than London town it self.

Inspiral lounge is hosting this special night at :

250 Camden High Street
Camden Lock
London
NW1 8QS

Easily accessed by tube and on a very cool spot in London, the night will offer an exclusive pre listen of the Zen Lemonade album , an exclusive pre listen of the Ishq album which is due to be released after the Zen Lemonade album by Ishq him self and a Live set by Solar Quest him self.

Line up :
Ishq
Arash Atman
Solar Quest Live

A night not to be missed if you are around London.

Night starts at 20:00 sharp! and ends at 24:00 .

Entrance fee is only 5 pounds including drink !
Inspiral lounge's warm and welcoming crew guarantees a cozi and comfty environment.

You can also have the chance to taste raw and organic goodies prepared fresh in the house.

2009 will be a landmark year for Electronic Soundscapes as there are already 2 albums
scheduled for release as well as 2 digital only releases and an Electronic Soundscapes film.

There will also be an underground gathering on the same night ( 28th of November ) that will feature DJ Odo on board together with a surprise guest as well as Arash Atman,  Ishq and Solar Quest.

Location is secret and will be revealed on the night by word of mouth and flyers that will be available only at the label party.

As good wine takes time to mature, Electronic Soundscapes selectively distills quality
projects which are based more on quality rather than quantity and operate on a quality versus timelessnes ratio.

--> --> --> --> --> --> --> -->Fortunately  enough this summertime offered some more free time than previous ones and a chance to enjoy a variety of open air festivities as well as meeting loved friends and making some new ones.

Some good friends alongside Arash Atman organized a couple of 2 day open air gatherings at nice Greek island picturesque sea side locations and some photos might be uploaded soon.

Limnos was another meeting point  for this year and also a chance to gig and bathe in the sun as well as an opportunity to taste Limnos's famous sweet wines and awesome sea food.

The Bali visit turned out to be quite an adventure and a stunning place at the same time.
--> --> --> --> --> --> --> -->

Kudos goes to Philippos for all the valuable help he offered during my stay on the island.

Check out : http://www.sculpturebyfilippos.com

Positive vibes go out to Nick Taylor and wishes for celebrating his birthday earlier than expected seem to be working out.

Bali is a stunning tropical place full of surprises and kind hearted people !! Features a bunch of extremely high quality venues as well as delicious world cuisine and authentic Japanese restaurants.

Watching an ancestral ecstatic trance dance as well as shooting a documentary all over the island for 2 weeks was a lifetime experience.

Highly recommended !!

Gus & Cozi offered supreme hospitality both to me and my colleague Martin at "their little paradise " called home and it was a pleasure to spend some quality time together as well as witness genuine intuition on their everyday lives and true sonic wizardry in their tropical studio.

Spining @ the Dari Bali - Chillpresso Records release party alongside Dave Hikari and the Papua New Guinea tribesmen was a night to remember and an unforgettable experience.

Rough mixes and first ideas for their upcoming Zen Lemonade album are simply jaw dropping and it looks like their downtempo album due to be released in 2008 through Electronic Soundscapes will be a milestone in contemporary electronica.

Also Ishq's album is in progress as most of it is already written and a couple more tracks are awaiting creation.

Artwork has already started and looks like it will make it to the printing presses before Christmass time.

A new chapter in cinematic ambient soundscapes and some fresh ideas will contribute to a unique album.

Keep on checking www.electronicsoundscapes.com & www.myspace.com/electronicsoundscapes for further updates regarding
 Ishq's and Zen Lemonade's  releases..

Also check out :

A very limited batch of high quality silk screen cotton t-shirts ( 40 ) were printed in Bali, featuring the Electronic Soundscapes logo and site + icon sleeve design, on 2 different versions ( + women's tight t-shirt ). We were intending on offering them for purchase through the Electronic Soundscapes on line shop for the mere price of 18 Euros but most of them are already gone and can't guarantee for how long they will still be available.

There are 4 colours you can choose from :

Black with light silver print, Maroon with open green print, Grey with navy blue print and last but not least, White with gray anthracite print.

You can check out availability either by mailing Electronic Soundscapes through myspace or by contacting Arash Atman at : arash_atman@electronicsoundscapes.com.

September looks like an exciting starting point and Electronic Soundscapes is concentrating on the Ishq album and on 2008,  Zen Lemonade's premiere alternative album release.

Both releases are promising and ground breaking in their own unique way.

4 new tracks are uploaded on the myspace account from Arash Atman's Polymorphic Convolutions compilation and pre release goodies will be soon on offer regarding Ishq's album, from the Electronic Soundscapes site.
