To all of you asking about my blog and the lack of updates. The tour is going great. Not much to update or blog about. All the shows are awesome. I can tell you the weather here in Denver is a lot colder than the east coast, I actually broke out the jacket this afternoon.

I have posted a few new photos and hopefully have credited the right people.

I don't know about any dates after the November dates in the U.K. You'll have to check the official sites for tour dates and any other news.

Simon Wright is keeping busy with Rhinobucket for a short U.S tour and Rudy Sarzo is doing shows with Blue Oyster Cult around the U.S. You can get dates from their respective sites. The DIO band is still together and everyone is looking forward to next year.

This covers the most asked questions...update complete. Well no one asked about the weather, I just threw that one in.

It's been a while since I've updated the blog. The U.S tour is well under way and everything is going great. The shows are as usual outstanding. The schedule isn't as grinding as overseas.

Mohegan Sun was profitable for a few of the crew. I made a little lunch money at the let it ride table.

I'm looking forward to Hamilton so I can see the lovely Janice and my kids.

If anything interesting happens I'll let you know.

We've just completed a quick 3 shows in 3 days run of Mexico. All the shows went great but the travel was little gruelling, but we got it done.

Back in the USA now for the next leg of the tour. I'm looking forward to seeing Queensryche and Alice Cooper on the same bill. This leg of the tour will be great for all the fans.

Well the Australian tour has ended and the flights home were great. I'm feeling a little jet lagged today...I had a nice visit with my daughter and grand daughter early this morning, slept all afternoon and most of the evening. A late dinner... wings and beer with Janice. Now another nap seems to be in order.

The tour down under was fantastic. The people were so friendly and the shows were all great as usual. We spent a fair bit of time out and about, sight seeing and taking a lot of pictures. I'll post some pictures when I have a little more time. I'm taking one day off then I'm doing some local truck work in Toronto for the Justin Timberlake shows at the ACC Sunday to Wednesday. After that I plan on taking the rest of the week of before I head to Mexico the following week for the start of the Mexico / U.S leg of the tour.

The wintery Australian weather was easy to deal with from my perspective. The temperature in most places were 60's to 70's a little rain and wind here and there...Auckland was a lot colder but nothing like the winters here in Ajax.

I will get to all the messages in my inbox later this week. I didn't get on line to often on this leg. The internet was a little to pricey for me at the hotels. There are quite a few messages and I will need some time...and a few rum and cokes to answer them all.

The tour is going well...great fans and great shows. The weather has been getting better as we move along. The rain has left us and we've been seeing a lot of sun and warmer temperatures.

We spent the past Sunday at the Sydney zoo which was amazing. This Country has some really interesting animals and other type of creatures that can only be found here. We received a guided tour through the educational centre where we got upclose with the koala's, kangaroo's, snakes, lizards and an emu that was looking for a mate. Finally got to see a real live platypus...awesome.

We have one more show in Brisbane then off to New Zealand where we wrap up this leg. So far it has been an amazing experience. We leave for home  this weekend where we will have a week or so off before we go to Mexico then back to the U.S for the next leg.

We've been staying in Sydney and travelling to the Wollongong and Newcastle shows. The weather has been great...lots of sun and no rain. It still is a little chilly at night...but all is good.

We've been getting out for some fairly decent walks around town. Not really seeing a lot but getting in some much need excercise.

The show last night in Wollongong was great as usual. It was great to see and old friend from home at the show. Sue Texeira and her husband Troy came out.

Things are moving along nicely...more days off than show days...I prefer it the other way around...but will take advantage of it while I can...the US dates look pretty solid. So I best not complain.

The first show in Perth went great and we are in Adelaide now. The weather is a little cooler than Perth.

We went out for a walk this afternoon and we had a chance to do some shopping at the local market. The prices at the market were incredibley inexpensive compared to what I saw in Perth. This is a fairly expensive Country very close to the U.K.

We have another day off...I think this day off is for the trucks to make it in from Perth. So it will be a Saturday night on the town...positive it won't be rowdy. Lorenzo is taking Ronnie and myself out for our birthday dinner, so I know it will be relaxed and entertaining.

I've pretty well shook the jet lag...but a good afternoon nap can't hurt and always helps.

We have arrived. The flights over here were great. It took a total of 26 hours and three flights for me to get down under, but all went well. We gained a complete day and a lot of hours but we'll get it all back on the way home.

The weather down here is 12c to 20c with a lot of wind and rain...certainly better than any Canadian winter I've experienced.

We all had a much needed day off to adjust before the first show. A few of us ventured out for a little sight seeing and local beer and food. I haven't tried anything too exotic...yet. I did have a small sample of crocodile sausage and a little taste of Kangaroo. I will have a larger piece before the tour leaves Australia...the samples I tried were good.

Everything is going well and I am looking forward to this tour.

Well the time has finally arrived. Time to wash the clothes and pack the bag and do some last minute running around. The time off was great, spending time with the family. Janice and I got out for a couple nice dinners. I spent time with Kaylyn, Alicia and Sarah. A few (many) drinks with my brothers. One more barbaque tonight with the family. Janice and Jeff are in the USA for a baseball tournament this weekend. So I've already said my see ya' laters to them. I never got out to see Jeff play baseball this time around, but anytime your out with Jeff you get to see him in action...with the girls...always chasing the girls.

I did some local driving for the tour company that keeps me busy when Ronnie's not touring. I worked Billy Talent, The Police and Hippyfest shows here in Toronto. I was impressed with The Police and Hippyfest...Billy Talent...not so much.

This last break was the longest we'll have for the rest of the scheduled dates, I believe. I think it's pretty well solid until mid November. I'll keep posting my little blogs for those of you that are interested. My friends in Australia that send me messages...the time has arrived. Prepare yourselves Heaven and Hell along with Down are just a few days away...as always I'm know its going to be great.

See ya',

Steve
