Current mood:crying and angry

Can't find a crying smiley (what an oxymoron), so those would have to do.
Boo hoo... sob sob...
My hard disk crashed!!! All that time and hard work is lost. The hardest part is that I'm close to completion of writing a book, and now I have to rewrite everything. :(
Hope I can still remember the entire thing, but if not, I'm hoping that the rewrite would be even better than the original one.
I normally back up my files, but I've been so busy writing that I sort of let it slide. I've learned my lesson. I have to remember to back up my files before I log off for the day. It's a very costly lesson to learn, but well, hopefully, I've really learned it. If not, everything would have been wasted.
So, don't let what happen to me happen to you! Take the time to do back ups. It's time well spent.

Current mood:annoyed at the service, but happy my website is up
Finally! I must admit to doing something thoroughly um...evil. Yeah, evil. I threatened to pull my website out from Yahoo and going to another server. It seemed to do the trick, because the next day, I received an email saying that my website is now in perfect working order.
I don't understand why such a thing has to happen before customer service would kick in. I'm a paying customer and I pay on time. Doesn't that in itself demand prompt service?
Check my website out at www.kai-andersen.com
And yes, it's my birthday today, so it's a nice birthday present. Kinda.

Okay, don't say it. I should know better than to host my website on yahoo. Yes, my website is now DOWN and I've been trying to get the Yahoo customer service to get it fixed, but so far no developments yet and it's closed to one week!!! I'm seriously thinking to change my host server...going shopping now.

Marianne's brother is dying. A man known as The Collector offers her a slim hope for her brother's life in the form of a statuette purported to possess healing powers. There's only one condition: she must retrieve it together with Nicholas Trent, the man who'd stolen her heart and crushed it beneath his feet seven years ago and who still affects her in the most primal way.
Nicholas aches to hold Marianne again, but he can't blame her for hating him. When he hears she has a son and concludes she must be married, the ache only grows stronger. He agonized over losing her, but how could he tell her that he'd turned into a blood-sucking vampire, that leaving her was the best thing he could do? Now he will have one more chance.
Marianne and Nicholas must battle their attraction and far more dangerous forces to retrieve the statuette. But even if the statuette heals her brother, they will still need to find a love cure.

Yay!!! This time, for my book in The Collector series. I'm thinking to call it "Love Cure". All the books in the series can be found here: http://www.collector-series.com/
Here's a short introduction to my offering in the series:
The Collector offers Marianne a desperate chance, a slim hope for a cure - a statuette purported to possess healing powers - with one condition: She must retrieve it together with Nicholas Trent, the man who'd stolen her heart and crushed it beneath her feet, a man who'd left without a word of goodbye seven years ago.
Nicholas aches to hold his violet-eyed beauty once again, but he can't blame her for hating him. The ache in his soul intensifies when he heard she had a son, and he concluded that she must be married. He agonizes over losing her, but how can he tell her that he'd turn into a blood-sucking vampire, that leaving her then was the best thing he could do?
As Marianne and Nick journey to retrieve the statuette and they battle the attraction that still flares up between them, events unfold in ways they never imagined, and never could they have known that a final betrayal is waiting for them...
