Hey yall, just a little update on life out here for those of you who I dont get to talk to much back on the west coast. Now living downtown in the East Village, finally left the bright lights of Times Square for the tight jeans of downtown. Aside from continual production work around the city with multiple record labels and artists, I have been getting some great surfing in out at Far Rockaway on the weekends... I get some weird looks riding the subway with my board. Look out for some great things in the next few months because alot of projects that I have been working on are finally going to surface, hopefully with great results! I miss all my buddies back in Seattle, shouts to Ben, Brad, Luke, Sheana, Jamie, Harm and anyone else I forgot! Hope everyone is well!

Current mood:  cold
Hey all, been a minute since I've given a solid NYC update but its been quite a wild '07 beginning. The new surf pics are all from my great 2 weeks in Costa Rica, where the water was warm and surf was great. Got a new board out here as well, and was able to get in the water the last few weeks for a few great sessions. Last saturday, there were crisp 5-7 ft A-frame peaks coming in all afternoon and not a cloud in the sky... NYC surf actually isn't half bad! On the music side things are moving along, with more projects in the works although our focus has been with two artists June & Traffik. We have produced June's new single "Cakey" which can be heard on his page, and the video shoot is scheduled for the first week in April. We are working on multiple tracks with Traffik and his buzz is taking off around the industry. Hopefully there will be some good news in the near future! Jamison, my partner in crime, has been accepted to an audio engineering program in AZ so he is back in WA before he goes to school to get his training in the studio.... so our stuff is going to start sounding a whole lot better. I hope everyone had a great new year and the winter hasn't been too harsh... its cold as hell out here!

Whats good everyone, hope your thanksgiving went well... Life has been quite crazy out here the last month with many changes and interesting happenings. This month has been the month of people coming and going. One of my best friends, Chris Buhrman has decided to move to New York and actually just got here yesterday. We will run this city. On the music tip things are going great. This month we worked on new music with Augustana on Sony Epic, Rover, & Traffik. Traffik can be seen in upcoming issues of both the Source & XXL... look out for some big things. He had a killer performance at the Justo Mixtape Awards, and the buzz is building, dont sleep. As usual, there are some great things on the burner that we cant speak about yet, but they are coming! The holidays out here are incredible and the city is completely lit up. I hope everyone out in the rest of the country is having a great holiday season... I am looking forward to my week off of work on the 23rd to head back to Seattle and see everyone.

Whats good everyone! Just a bit of an update of the various happening as the 3 month mark nears. The weather has been crazy out here, almost 70 degrees and its in the middle of November! Walking around in a tee shirt at this time of year is strange. The Team has been on the grind aside from starting work on Rover's new album, he was greatful enough to show us a wild night out at the infamous Sin City in the BX after a vicious studio session. After a really cool demo and open bar at Sony Studios for Soundblaze.com, we re-united with fellow seattle producer Malay which was nuts. This city really is like a small town! The Team is working with some new artists including Florida's up and comer Traffik. Dude is serious, check his page for the real bangers.New songs with Oxy Cottontail coming soon as well.... On a more personal note, the media mogul training camp aka my 9 to 5 is going quite well, although it is extremely stressful. The weekend warrior syndrome has set in, and luckily there is never a shortage of ways to blow off steam in this city. I cant wait to come home for Christmas and see everyone who is holdin down Seattle. Shout outs to Ben bouncing out in Pullman, Brad & Hoss still pimpin in eastlake, Chris B makin moves in QA, Jamie, Sheana, & Harm who always keep it real, Wiz for being patient with the beats, Palko out FL, Adrian down in the desert, and Becca staying fly up in Tahoe. Anyone I forgot, I'll get you next time! ONE!!!

Whats good everyone, figured it was time to write a bit to give people an idea of whats been going out here. The last 3 weeks have been another amazing bunch of days. We had our first session in a major label studio at studio Z in the sony studios. It was pretty incredible to be around and working with artists we have been listening to for years.... Went to a couple great parties that Oxy threw and had a blast, her crowd is wild!!! I also got a killer job assisting the CEO and partners at a company called Zelnick Media to suppliment the income while the music builds... This company basically buys and manages record labels, so during the day I get to learn the ins and outs of the actual business.... The Dream Team is in full effect now with Jamison living up in Harlem, so the music is bangin and projects keep building. Life is fast out here and I dont always get time to talk with everyone so the shouts gotta go out! To Chris holdin down Queen Anne, Brad + Hoss keepin eastlake gangsta, Ben out in Pullman tippin cows, Sheana, Harm & Jamie making sure Northgate stays fly, Wiz always keepin me on my toes, Adrian & Palko keepin it real out of state, and Becca bringing sexy back to Tahoe.... get at me! to those I forgot, my bad, you'll get on the liner notes.

I figured after being here for two weeks I would give a little update on happenings and how life is out here. My first week was basically made up of apartment searching and partying. Multiple parties, inlcluding my first VMA afterparty, trendy bars and hipster hang outs made for very interesting nights. By the second week I landed an apartment in Hells Kitchen, about 3 blocks from Times Square, and it is absolutly amazing. The 2nd week has been a little more focused, we moved in, and finally started working on music again. Went and saw Oxy Cottontail perform and got to build a bit, met with some DJ's on the radio out here and started getting things moving and buzzing. Our studio time will be starting soon both with Rover and as well with other artists, so new tunes will be coming very soon.  Today was the 5th year anniversary of 911 so it was a somber day in the city.... anyway, I dont usually write blogs, but I wanna keep all yall updated on whats going on, cause I cant always talk to everyone. .. but Im gonna try and keep the lame blogging to a minimum because I clown blogging all the time... shout outs to Becca down in Tahoe, Ben up in college,Chris in Queen Anne, Hoss and Brad holdin down eastlake, Harm, Jamie and Sheana keepin it real up in Northgate, Wiz in the booth, Palko and Adrian keepin it real out of state, and all my other peoples. Real Talk.
