Ok, so I've been traveling and have not been online as much as normal the last several weeks. But had to get on here and speak out for the bunnies:) They are some of the best creatures on earth and should be vauled and treated as such, but alas they are not always given the respect they deserve. They are treated very poorly when purchased for children who are not prepared to care for them properly. They end up victims of neglect, or get set loose to fall prey to predators, or turned into shelters and end up being destroyed. And for what someones momentary amusement.
Please keep in mind other bunny related gifts. There are soooo many to choose from chocolate bunnies, stuffed bunnies, art, jewelry, tee shirts, etc.
But bunnies do make wonderful pets for those that truly desire them, if you find yourself in this group of people then please adopt a bunny, you will save a life.
Have a wonderful Easter,
Lilith

So I got a new bunny!

. I cannot replace my bunny Samantha (nobun can). But I did now have the space to take care of another bunny. So I rescued this very sweet bunny from a shelter. She was already named Whitney. But I added Pandora. So she is Whitney Pandora.

Just thought I'd post this since its the edition from Spain and most U.S. fans may not see it. The article features Scream Queens, well ME, Tina Krause, Monique Dupree and others.

Also the pic of me is with both of my bunnies including the late Samantha. And my Serena.

My Samantha

I was on a trip to Ohio accompanied by my pet bunny Serena. Some friends told me they had resuced a rabbit.
the guy had saw her in the parking lot at his work place and the following day when she was still there he decided
to catch her and take her home. But they already had a dog, a cat, some horses, etc. so their kids were not really
playing with the bunny and she was just staying out in the barn with the horses. So they knew I had an intense love
for bunny rabbits. When they first asked me if I wanted to see her I said I should not because I could not take her
because I already had a rabbit ( at the time I thought it was best to only have one at a time). But after being asked
several times I decided I would take a look afterall it was and bunny and I do love them. I still remember the first time
I saw her, she was looking up at me with the sweetest bunny brown eyes the moment I saw her I knew I'd be making
a special trip back up to Ohio to pick her up. I held her for a few minutes and decided to myself her name should be
Samantha. I had a full car and Serena with me so  I made my way back to Atlanta and started to plan for my return
trip to Ohio to pick up my new bunny Samantha. I got her in late October on a Sunday on the time change weekend.
She watched me very intently from the backseat while I was driving. She was at first a pretty shy bun. But that could
have been the result of treatment she had been through before being found in the parking lot, I'll of course never know
what she might have gone though but I was going to make sure she had a wonderful life from there on out. Her and
my other bunny Serena never really bonded they both just bonded to me. So they always seemed to compete a little
for my attention, which they both recieved. She was so shy at first that when I would give her veggies or treats she
would let them sit for hours before she felt secure enough that it was actually for her to eat. She went from being that
shy and timid to a bunny who not only begged but demanded her treats and veggies. She loved to sit on my lap and
be held for cuddle time, she enjoyed tv and movies one of her personal favs was Seinfeld reruns. With proper treatment
bunnys can be excellent pets. And with proper treatment their true personalities will really show. Samantha got used
to me taking photos of her as whenever I go out shopping there is no telling when I  spot some little item that will make
a great bunny prop. So as a result I do have lots of photos of her which are always nice to have. Samantha attended
some conventions with me as well appearances in her home state Ohio and she went to Chicago too.  About two years
ago Samantha had to have a rather serious surgery. I was really worried she was not going to make it through that. She
of course did so I'm very lucky to have had this these years after that with her. She ended up having labored breathing
and had a vet visit on Friday, they indicated she might not make it through the night but were unsure from the xrays
what the problem truly was so she got some med and came home with me. I of course was very worried about her
I did not sleep much either Fri. or Sat. and on Sunday morning when I got up she was so weak I could not even move
her for fear of making something worse, there was no way she was going to make it to the emergency vet. So I just
laid down with her to be with her til the end which was only a few minutes. I truly believe she waited for me to get up
and be with her. Thankfully her passing was quick and peaceful. And I had the chance to tell her once again I love her
and goodbye.

She was truly a sweet natured and fun loving bunny. I loved her with all my heart. I am so glad I got to spoil and pamper
her. And I'm happy I earned her trust and love. She will be greatly missed.

R.I.P. my Samantha

In the future months I of course will be getting my Samantha tattoo:) Its my own person way of a tribute to my bunny.

And look for her pics from her photo shoot she did with me just a week before her passing, they will be in an issue of Cult Goddess magazine.

The USDA claims rabbits are poultry! Please help rabbits get the Humane Slaughter Act. The US Department of Agriculture has classified rabbits as "poultry" to avoid including them under the 1958 Humane Methods of Slaughter Act, from which "poultry" are excluded.  Meaning the rabbit is awake and fully aware!

There was a petition but they did not make the 5,000 mark they needed. There is a new petition ongoing, please sign this!!!

Even if you are not as bunny crazy as I am, I'm certain you would agree that rabbits deserve better treatment than this. Even poultry its deserves better treatment!

You can sign the Petition at the Care 2 Petition site, or to find it easy just go to www.bunspace.com
there is a link on there home page.

My 2008 Easter Bunny rant....

Each year I have the same message just worded slightly different. And each year around
this time pet shops load up with bunnies to hock as pets to people who think "oh
how cute" I should buy one for little so and so for an Easter present. Well, these
parents should not be buying a pet bunny unless they themselves desire to own a pet
bunny because usually a child will lose interest or may not treat the bunny with all
the care it needs. Bunnies are not toys and are not disposable. Many people dump rabbits
off somewhere outside when they decide its not a pet the want to keep. When a rabbit is
born in captivity and meant to be kept as a pet it does not possesss the same skills as
rabbits born in the wild. I cannot imagine how scary this is for the rabbit. Another fate
they do not deserve but ends up happening all to often is the people take them to the
pound once the Easter bun novelty has worn off. There are much better places for rabbits
so if you find yourself with a bunny you don't want then please do not let it loose
outdoors or send it to the pound. There are many Rabbit rescue groups all over the country.
These are no kill sheleters and the bunny may even end up with a new owner who actually
wants a pet bunny:)

I personally don't understand why someone would not want a bunny anymore just because
it grew up and became bigger. But then of course I'm a big fan of the rabbit. I own 2
myself. Of course they are cute when small but full grown they are very beautiful. If
you pay your rabbit attention you will see they are full of personality. Many people just
leave them in thier cages ignoring them so this they will never realize.

I think a better & wiser gift for Easter is a stuffed bunny, a chocolate bunny, there are
so many options (bunny shirts, jewerly, toys, books, art, etc.) If someone wants a "real"
pet bunny then maybe its better if they buy it themselves then its a situation that the
person has choosen to take on. This than should indicate they person is responsible for
the bunny and hopefully they will be taking the bunny to thier forever home:) Rabbits are
joyful creatures and I wish for a world less tragic for them.

Please think before making that purchase.
