Just notified this week that Jason's grandfather, Buck Roberts, great-uncles, Carlton and Eldon, and their band Roberts Brothers Rhythmairs, will be inducted into the Texas Western Swing Hall of Fame in San Marcos in May. What a great honor for all of the Roberts Brothers families. We're all very excited!

Austin, TX – Jason Roberts – of Asleep at the Wheel fame – returns to Threadgills North Tuesday, September 2nd, kicking off a new series of Tuesday nights on this historic stage.  A singer, songwriter and one of the best fiddle players in Texas, Jason steps out as a tour de force on stage, flanked by musicians who can more than keep up.  With more than a few Grammy's among the players, the Jason Roberts Band is a must-see.

The band, which nods to country, blues and jazz legends, is led by Jason whose voice and fiddle channel Bob Wills with fellow musicians who have mastered the art of swing.  Rocking original tunes stay true to their influences and have become instant crowd pleasers.  As always, the band will invite regular guests from the audience to take the stage and jam along.

For years, Jason has delighted Threadgills regulars who know that the backing band is just as exciting.  Dave Miller, also from Asleep at the Wheel will be on bass duty. Will Armstrong (Kyle Park) will lay down drums.  And hotshot lefty guitar player Andrew Nafziger (Bruce Robison, Kelly Willis) returns with his signature style.

The shows begin at 8 p.m.

If you weren't able to make it to Threadgill's on Tuesday, June 3, you missed a mighty fine show. We all missed Elizabeth and Andrew, but Eddie Rivers from AATW filled in for the night. Thanks to Dave Sanger, Jason performed Gene Watson's "Farewell Party" to a rousing, standing ovation!

Next show is Tuesday, June 17. Don't miss it.
