I just added some new photos and some additional songs from my CD "Let it Rain" The new disc is getting closer every day. Today has been a day at the computer just uploading and going to new sites etc. Just finished a new song last night, cool!!!

Wow!! I guess I've got a quality problem. Been in the studio most of the day working on the new CD project which is taking lots and lots of time. One of the reasons for the time involved is that I doing so many private meditations as result of my meditation CD released last year, also, I have recorded 26 songs for the new CD.

I am really happy with the way the music is coming out (and we are at the mixing stage right now), so much so that I was thinking I would put a CD out with about 18 or 19 songs on it. Talking to my producer (Dave Chamberlin at DBW Productions) he is suggesting that I just go ahead and release two separate CD's.

Not sure whether to release one CD with lots of songs or mix it up into two CD's and maybe add a couple of the other songs to it as well. Anyway, just thought I'd put that out there to my readers to see if I could get some feedback.

Sorry it has taken so long to finish the new CD. Actually........I have so many songs that I am really having trouble selecting which ones to go on the new CD. I guess that is a quality problem. Anyway, I think I am going to be posting some new songs up on my site real soon and I welcome your feedback as it might help me with the songs selection. I am at the mixing stage, so some of the new song posts might not be mixed yet but I think they still sound pretty good. My producer is doing an amazing job.

Also, CD title. Welcoming any suggestions...........

Well, I am back in the studio tomorrow laying down even more lead vocals. This new CD has turned into a literal marathon project with about 28 songs recorded and in process. It's very exciting but lots of hard hard work and lots of everything else that i have to give.

I am at a point where I have just have to keep moving forward and hope that things will take shape with the music career once this CD is out. It's very possible that I will release two CD's within about two years, to maximize any momentum.

I suppose most don't really know that in addition to the music that I write and perform I also teach meditation to people in early stages of recovery from alcohol and drug addiction. I teach and lead group meditations at a very high end facility in Malibu California. I recently recorded one of my meditations at the request of the owner of the facility at which I work and I will be releasing it before the end of the month. The CD is title "A New Beginning, a Guided Mindfullness Meditation by Richard Burr". I am not sure how I will be marketing it exactly but I will post on my myspace page where people may obtain a copy of the CD.

Can't believe another year is almost coming to an end. it has really been a busy and productive year for me. What started out as a mostly acoustic CD has turned into a bit more than I had imagined. I am still recording and about 20 songs into the new disc. I am not sure whether it will be two disc's or one disc followed in close succession.

All I know is that once I started recording I couldn't stop. I love the process of making a song come to life and I just had that many songs that I really didn't want any of them to go unrecorded.

It's all very exciting and to anyone who is keeping track I apologize for not getting anything new up yet. Some of the rough stuff still sounds pretty good so I will be sorting through it at put one up really soon.

New CD is really in full swing this week and I expect that it should be out before the end of the year, maybe even this summer.  Just recorded "Walk With Me" and the tunes are definitely ending up being mostly acoustic.  I will be uploading new tunes onto myspace very soon.  I will keep you all posted.

It's always a great day when I get to go into the studio and start laying down some new tunes. I think this is gonna be part of the new CD. Worked on two brand new tunes today, "The Freedom from the Truth" and "Above and Below". Looks like this might be an unplugged, all acoustic CD, at least that's where the tunes I have been writing have been taking me. Other than that, I don't really know much about where it is headed but I am excited about getting more stuff layed down.
