Howdy from the humble webmaster! A few items:
1) I redid the "kiss a cactus" page just a bit. (See:
http://cactuslovers.com/kissingcacti.htm) For those of you who are
Cactus Lovers newbies, you really need to check out this page. Ha ha ha ha! It's funny.
By the way, I am very open to creating another page of others kissing cacti if people are into that. Send photos to my e-mail (steve garufi [no space] at juno dot com) if you like.
Photo below: A shot of me kissing a "walking stick cactus" (i.e. variation of a cholla) in southern Colorado.
2) I recently visited a cactus greenhouse in the mountains of Colorado. You can see those photos here:
http://cactuslovers.com/manitou-cactus.htm 3) Tucson Cactus guru Joel Smith posted some new photos of cacti in the Cactus Forum. Check them out:
http://www.cactuslovers.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=49 And here's one nice photo from Joel's entry:
(For whatever reason, this cactus looks spooky to me!)
4) If you struggle with boredom or perhaps are interested in communicating with other Arizonians and cactus people, check out the Cactus Forum. Here's that link:
http://www.cactuslovers.com/forums/ 5) Last but not least, in true dedication to the
Cactus Lovers motto that "Life does not begin until it's 105 degrees," we will be having some kind of Internet-based celebration when the temperature reached 105 for the first time in Tucson. I'll keep everyone posted about this! :)
You are quite welcome to post a comment on this page about ways that you'd like to celebrate when it reaches 105, okay? I want to hear your ideas! ;)
