Earth Hour 08 was a huge success, I myself plan to practice for Earth Hour 09 at least 1-2 time’s a week ... By next year ill be an old pro at this saving the world business !! Please follow my lead ,,,,blessing.ssssss Earth Hour 2008

"Viral Marketing doesn’t work, tell all your friends!" In March 2007, 2.2- million Sydneysiders turned off their lights for the inaugural Earth Hour – one simple action that was the equivalent of taking 48, 000 cars off the road for one hour. This year, Earth Hour goes global. Inspired by the groundbreaking actions of one city, people and businesses all over the world will be turning off their lights for one hour in a collective action against climate change. Earth Hour 2008 will take place at 8:00 pm- March 29 and I too encourage everyone to get involved...Earth Hour 2007 was a Sydney event. Earth Hour 2008 is a global movement. Earth Hour is about individual action and how together we can make a difference. To alter the course of climate change we must act now. The U.S. is the world’s leading emitter of carbon dioxide—over 20 tons per person every year. One person committed to reducing energy consumption can make a difference, and millions of us working together can change the world. Namaste'

I am the center of my universe but I do not live here alone. Each move I make creates a ripple in someone else's ocean. Each breath I take effects the air all around me. Each word I utter falls on someone else's ears. That which I touch is felt by another. That which I do will certainly affect another. That which I do not, will also affect another. We never know how far reaching something we say or do really is until it returns to us. And it always does ~ all things in life form a circle whether we see the circle or not.

"The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 2000 years."
"During those 2000 years, those nations always progressed through the following sequence:
1. from bondage to spiritual faith;
2. from spiritual faith to great courage;
3. from courage to liberty;
4. from liberty to abundance;
5. from abundance to complacency;
6. from complacency to apathy;
7. from apathy to dependence;
8. From dependence back into bondage"
We must guard and protect our basic human birthright,,
Freewill..........

Mulkun Wirrpanda painted E/G yirdaki
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCMQUvZ5Gy0
^^ thats the Didge itself played by Elijah what a talent this young man is eh ?,, a real beauty isnt it ... Turn's out there is quite the history behind this amazing didgeridoo, This yirdaki has been in the iDIDJ Reference Collection and is the last and greatest instrument we have of senior Yolngu artist Mulkun Wirrpanda. Mulkun is the daughter of the great Dhudi-Djapu warrior and leader Dhakiyarr Wirrpanda, the subject of the critically acclaimed documentary "Dhakiyarr vs The King":
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7fl2HpYihcU
Mulkun has adorned this yirdaki with special artwork pertaining to a place called Yalata, near the Dhudi-Djapu outstation Dhuruputjpi. The designs are rendered in ochres (earth pigments) and are especially fine in their execution. This is an outstanding musical instrument as well as an exquisite work of art. The maker of this yirdaki is none other than Mirarra' Burarrwanga, a young Gumatj man who has made a name for himself in the art of fine yirdaki craftsmanship. This yirdaki is best described as 'old school'. It does not have as much acoustic elasticity as faster instruments from the Miwatj region, but it is precisely this that enables its air column to be 'popped' like instruments heard on old field recordings
I should recieve this beautiful stick about Oct.18 and will have a new youtube vid playing it asap. The fine folk's at I didjaustralia have many beautiful yirdaki as well as ton's of other amazing stuff , give a look , ask for Guan , and tell em Ceki sent ya !!

Current mood:  cheerful
 Well my Friend's ,, I have to share something very special with you all . If you've read my Bio you know my heart burn's to play Didg live for a audience..and not just in my small home built studio... Yesterday was July 4th , america's Independence day , and as every year , my local town had it's huge celebration ,, we set up at the local city lake right smack in the middle of town and its an all day festival of sort's, ( Smoke on the water celebration) ,, there is music ,, food , 1000's of local people relaxing and enjoying the sun and celebration ,, and of course at evening's end the huge firework's display. Ive often thought what a perfect venue to introduce my local people to the didgeridoo ,, but of course in the end ive talked myself out of it ! Well not this year my dear friend's !! I loaded up my blanket , and my didge's (only my best 2) and headed off to the multitude's ..I had to park about a mile away as there were so many people , so you can imagine the knot that had developed in my gut !! but i drew power an strength from my fear's ,,I found my perfect space in the midst , I could actually feel the earth's power pushing me foward , I threw out my blanket and made my space comfortable ,, and began to play !! I played off and on for almost 3 hours ,, simply catching rythm's that seemed to flow right through me ..I was actually sharing my passion with the multitude's of people that cared to have a listen , and I have to say it was 1 of the highlite's of my life !!! so much interest and support from total stranger's ,, smile's ,Happiness, and a kind of shared comradery with people only bonded by the vibe's of didgeridoo !! I actually made some very important contact's and even met a couple people that showed huge interest in forming a didgeridoo club , and learning and practicing together !! I feel this is the begining of something great , and HUGE !! Now I honestly cannot wait to load up my gear and find another group of people to bless .......I Truely touched the tip of ,,,,Bliss......... Peace B my friend's , and Much happy Didg"N !!!! Ceki
