Whatup peoples, Maniac here Chillin in Albukaki New Mexico, for the whole Gathering of Nations business, first night was cool, went to the first anual Image Awards and chilled, me Night Shield and Committed squashed into a little tiny car, it was funny as hell, we had to put Philthy in the trunk and we just cruised through the city laughin.  Went to the......Cant remember what it was called, but it was at this club called Sauce or some shit. Packed as a mutha up in there, sweatin all greasey as fuck but it was ill, met up with all the homies I only see once a year like Red Cloud, Supaman, Tactile and all them cats, I wasnt scheduled to perform but the homie Supaman let me get on with him so we rocked it on a 4 foot stage, still was ill.  Was alotta other performers doin there thing then Immortal Technique came out and shut it down.  I crashed early, only had like 2 hours of sleep on the plane ride so I called it.  Last night was cool went and scoped the pow-wow, made me remember how many skins come to this event when I whatched the grand entry, I gotta give it up to all the dancers that squash themselves in there for that.  Walked around, sold some CD's met with more peoples, dipped out and went to Club Lotus for GMBs party, was cool.  Came back to the hotel at like 3-4 in the morning, got chased around the hotel by security.  Tonight we got 2 shows, first one at 49th n 4th and the other ones gonna be Larry Prices deal.  Tomorrow I head back to the 605, cant wait to get home and relax, been runnin around non-stop for the whole weekend.

Peace out FUCKERS!!!

What up yall, Its been a cold minute so Im postin a blog to let everyone know whats up, DAYWALKERS is whats up right now, my life is in this project right now and nothing else, Im putting everything I got into this shit, for those that don't know, DAYWALKERS is a group featuring my homie F. DUX and myself, Im handling most of the production and its gonna be, through and through, "the wicked shit" I cant stress that enough, for those of you out there that have been supporting me since the beginning yall prolly remember my very very very first album called "Horror-Hop", it was that daRK shit, hardcore music, well that's what we bringing to this album, im breaking off from the pack, Im absolutely and completely disgusted with today's hip-hop, I'm lucky if I hear ONE dope album a year, and I'll only buy that album, (By the way, for 2008, if you love hip-hop, go pick up "ILL Bills: The Hour of Reprisal" CLASSIC) but Im sick of it all, and been sick of it for the past few years, but I love hip-hop, so I aint gonna pull no gay ass faggot ass "retirement" like all these other fucks that get sick of it, Imma keep it movin, if hip hop is dead I guess that makes me a zombie, cuz Im still gonna keep grindin, we gotta get that retirement money. Everybody sounds the same, everybodies been soundin the same for mad years, im done with it, Im done with the award bullshit, im done with the whole we can make a difference bullshit, FUCK EVERYONE and as ignorant as that sounds that's how im feelin with this album, the whole production and writing of this album on my part was a big product of codeine and oxycodone, so Im letting a lot more out, stuff I held in before is all comin out. The album is still that hardcore hip-hop, wicked lyrics, dark and hard boom bap beats, even if you don't like that dark shit and you love tru-school hip-hop I have a feelin you'll still love this album, we're almost done with it, F.DUX kinda became the front man as far as the writing and concepts for songs go, I pulled my weight with the rhymes and the beats so I feel we got a good balance. We crankin out a few more tracks, puttin some tweaking and final touches on the ones we got, makin connections, trynna get some things lined up, still trynna get in the t-shirt game, Im the only one that aint got no shirts, but shits comin together nice, and I hope all my supporters cop the shit. Even the artwork we got lined up for this shit is gonna be crazy, we currently in the process of settin up a MySpace page so keep a look out for that, but other than that, aint a damn thing changed, Im still a scumbag, lowlife, dirt bag piece of shit and yall can still hate my life, cuz you can bet your fuckin ass that imma be hating yours,

PEACE TO THE REAL HEADS!!!

Current mood:  gloomy

What up yall, been far too long, far far too long.  Lotsa shit happened to me since I last "blogged" on this mutha, Went to New York for the NAMMYS, my homie Night Shield won that shit finally, so we partied pretty big, I actually blanked out 2 nights in a row, not like thats unusual or anything.  A scorpion woman ripped my heart out and spit on it, AGAIN, the same girl I always end up back with for the past 7 years, oh well, it happens every few months, all it does is put me in a terrible deppression and go on a 3 month drunk, Im actually drunk writing this, so whatch out ladies, if your into fat, ugly, lazy, alcoholic, indian rappers with no job or car then Im your man.  Speaking of no car, on my way to Sioux Falls the day before the Nammys I got in the wickedest most brutal car crash of my life, I was behind this slow ass pickup and decided to pass it, got up to like 65 while passing and that sone of a bitch turned left, BOOM!  I crashed right into that fucker, crushed the whole front of my car, rolled, my face smashed into the windshield and scarred my forehead, there was blood everywhere, I got a concussion, couldnt stop the bleeding for like 15 minutes, tooth went through my top lip, if I died it woulda been more cool, cuz then I could come back and Haunt you fuckers, anyways, I just called up my uncle, hooked it up with a full tank of gas and kept the journey going.  The flight sucked 189 pairs of balls, I hate flying, Id much rather drive for days than fly for 10 hours, I flew from Sioux Falls to Minneapolis to Detroit to New York, and I swear to god I saw a gremlin on the wing of the plane, but no one believed me.  The Nammys was the shit, free beer and me dont go together well, I think I musta drank like 5 6 packs of beer to myself, I was smashed, I blanked out in the ghetto of New York with JSK and Big B at some liquor store, woke up covered in puke, shit was awesome, there was mad mad mad hot chicks up in that mug, but I couldnt bring myself to bust a mack, or maybe cuz I have no game, either way I got no action, but I did get to the point of alcohol poisoning, Night Shield is the biggest drunk I know and even he was embaressed with me being drunk, fuck it.  We had a wicked pow-wow style 49 after the NAMMYs at our Suite and some other dudes suite the next floor up, we basically tore that bitch the fuck down, to the point where the cops had to shut it down, but it still took em like a half an hour to close us down cuz nobody was payin attention to them cats.  We performed at the Nammys as well, I think we blew the roof off that mutha, I guess my sound was off for the first part of my first verse, sound was comin out the moniters but not the main speakers, but they fixed it and we knocked it off the hinges, had Shock B from Culture Shock DJin for us and had a Grass Dancer and Fancy Shawl dancer on stage when we performed, shit was badass.  But other than all that, I been goin to college, yeah, me, Maniac The SiouxperfuckinNatural, goin to college, it sux to be honest with you, its a very cheap college but its all I can afford so go to hell, Im gettin a Major in Murderology and a minor in Murderonomy, should be ill.  But I just now this very night started work on my NEW album, The Paranormal was ill in its own way, but that album was basically a big picture board of all my problems, not much else just the pain and anguish I go through just sittin around,  the new album is gonna be different, the new album is gonna be a big FUCK YOU! to everyone, I was gonna call the album "FUCK YOU!"  but it would be to hard to market, and it is NOT called "The Holocaust" despite the rumors and Night Shields inside cover, there will be Music Videos for it, oh yes, that much I promise you, I already began filming the video for "I" off my Paranormal album and Im currently working on a DVD that Imma try to push with my next album,  so until I get in another near fatal car crash or anything new comes up......

On friday april 6th in Sioux Falls SD at Nuttys North, Maniac The Siouxpernatural entered the first ever "Sioux Falls Rap Wars" and faced opponents Ton, and South Dakota allies Truth1 from Truth & Adapt and Durt D and A Def from Soulcrate Music, Maniac beat Ton, Truth and Durt D to advance to the championship match against A Def. Maniac took a loss, but heres what the Argus Leader had to say about the event.

We got video of Maniacs battles to post on MySpace so keep checkin back!!!

SF Rap Wars: A-Def Destroys Maniac for the Title (found in Argus Leader website.)
Category:

As expected, there were some wicked fights Friday night during the initial battle of the Sioux Falls Rap Wars.

Verbal bombs blew up in the faces of MCs served by their opponents. Floundering freestyle prose was beaten down by the boos, hoots and mocked tornado siren sounds of a critical crowd. And one guy – Black Lungz – quit in the midst of his first battle, apparently because he wasn't in to the moment.
It was intense. And it was calm. The aggression of the one-on-one duals didn't appear to follow the rappers off the stage. Overall, it felt like the unifying moment Sioux Falls hip-hop has needed for years.

But as people filed out of Nutty's North Friday night, they weren't chatting about how this MC battle could bridge the differences of ego-driven rappers or create a de facto mentoring system where rookie MCs learn from the local leaders.
Rather, people were chattering about how A-Def, from Soulcrate Music, took home the belt on a night Maniac the Siouxpernatural seemed destined to win.
From the first round of 16 MCs, these were the two heavyweights, lobbing disparaging rhymes at their opponents with the sympathy of Charles Bronson in the "Death Wish" series.

Maniac cut through his opponents with a sharp tongue dishing out disses about mothers, sexuality, employment (or lack thereof), skill (or lack thereof) and plenty of girlfriend remarks.

A-Def's approach was just as scathing, but not as powerful. After an impressive first round that brought cheers out of the entire building, A-Def seemed to rely on similar punchlines or put-down plot points about sexuality, talent and status.
He seemed to be fading while Maniac gained momentum like a boulder rolling downhill. What we didn't know was that A-Def was saving his best stuff.
In an upset that was reminiscent of Duke's unlikely 1991 Final Four victory over college basketball powerhouse UNLV, A-Def skewered Maniac in the finals. I – one of three judges for the event – scored A-Def 3-0 over Maniac and found myself surprised by the outcome.

Like most people in Nutty's Basement, I was marveled by Maniac's ability to fillet any MC in his path. He humiliated opponents so skillfully that when Dirt D – from Soulcrate – discovered he was up against Maniac he put his hand on his forehead and muttered something like "Oh, man."

But when faced off against A-Def, Maniac looked fatigued. All his best punchlines had been used and he almost seemed to stutter searching for comebacks to A-Def's vicious and hilarious attacks.

And he knew it, admitting at least once during his final battle that he was done. Like UNLV in '91, Maniac finally fell when faced with some equal opposition.
I can't wait for the rematch.

Other Musings
• While A-Def and Maniac were far above the competition, the battles did give us a taste of what's to come from other MCs. Cats like Boonhannin (did I spell that right?) and Mike Kolb showed some skill with serious flow or rhyme appeal – they just need to work on their freestyle punches. Another kid, Indigo Nimbus, had some nice vocal texture and charisma. But, like so many others, he just needs to practice.

• My favorite (clean) line of the night: Maniac dissed a dude named Ton for looking like he works at Best Buy. Ton immediately and casually responded "I don't work."

• If you check out the Rap Wars MySpace page, there's already some beef from the United Ballaz crew, who didn't have anyone in the battle. I don't know the politics behind this, but I was disappointed that these guys weren't representing in the battle, or the cipher afterward (a few Ballaz were in the building). And where were the TSR guys?

• A challenge for the next battle: Can we get a female MC on stage?

Whats up my peoples? Its been approximately 2 years since my "Nightmerika" album dropped, the album was dubbed "the best album to come out of South Dakota in a long time" and "The best album of 2005". That album accomplished all that it could, now "Paranormal: The War Within" is officially here. Maniac: The Siouxpernatural Returns With "Paranormal: The War Within"!

What fans are calling the most anticipated Native Hip Hop CD ever is hitting streets on March 6th! Maniac: The Siouxpernatural is back with his sophomore LP, "Paranormal: The War Within". While fans have been waiting for almost 2 years for the new LP, Maniac has been creating a new classic. The new album features 19 brand new tracks from the Cheyenne River Native and features the likes of Shadowyze, Night Shield, Overflow, F. Dux, Memoree, 2Mex of The Visionaries and more. Maniac's debut LP "Nightmerika" was released in 2005 to critical acclaim and was nominated for the Native American Music Awards & The Indian Summer Music Awards and was also called the Album Of The Year by The Argus Leader, South Dakota's largest newspaper.

"Paranormal: The War Within" is a true masterpiece and showcases Maniac's versatility as a lyricist and a producer as he effortlessly takes the listener on a journey through the ups and downs of his everyday struggle. On "Tomorrow" Maniac takes an introspective look at his life while on "Everything's Eventual" takes a look at how the times may change yet everything eventually stays the same. Before you go thinking Maniac's going soft he comes back and murders MC's, the vicious "Eternal Champion" and with help of Supaman & Tactile The Rhyme Child on "Mic Arsonists" Maniac shows why he's still Native Hip Hop's most lethal MC. Maniac showcases his song writing ability with the heartfelt "All That He Passes" and gives you a tragic case of mistaken identity with "Weapons Of War". "Paranormal: The War Within" will be released on South Dakota's own Night Shield Entertainment record label.
