New EP Weird Animals is coming soon. I don't have a firm date yet but the limited CD will be available in early December with the digital download following in early January. The track list is as follows:
1. Only Grey 2. Weird Animal 3. Madame X 4. Can't Get Much 5. The Middle 6. Driving in the Dark
I played some of these tunes in Norway. Most of them are songs from the same sessions as "White Noise/Black Music" that either didn't seem to fit with the other songs or I couldn't seem to finish. I had a fondness for all of them and thought this EP would be a good venue for them. In December the "single" Weird Animal will be available as a free download. More on that in a few weeks.

Hello. Is there anybody out there? Myspace seems like it's becoming a wasteland populated only by a few musicians and bands occasionally posting and listening to stuff. I can add myself to that list. We've got a new artist on the Alchemist label: One in a Googolplex. He is a cool, young cat from Germany who follows the current pattern of DIY Alchemist artists in that he plays and records everything on the album. His music his hard to describe but it reminds me of Can, Belle and Sebastian, Mum, and Takako Minekawa. It's too weird to be pop, too pop to be folk, and too acoustic to be electronic. It's good , orginal and modern. We'll be releasing 2 records of his next tuesday the 28th. You can listen to a preview of his newest "Hands" here. George Lang of the Oklahoman had Alex Hake and I on last weeks show. It's a cool thing that George is doing. He deserves props and support!
