Emily and I have been working really hard and want let everyone know that our next collection is seeing its final touches... So........Saturday night fell upon us quickly and through some obstacles, every second that ticked on that day moved swiftly and time was winding down. Throughout that day peace was felt, confidence was experienced knowing that our best work to date was being showcased that eve in front of a full ballroom at the Hotel St. Regis. I had purchased a couple rooms for the evening at the hotel,(one a wonderful suite I might add) and best choice possible considering the amount of staff we had with us that day.  Hair Styling was completely original and fresh, balloons and feathers were used in ways people had never seen before. Dior Makeup shined on and off stage with gemmed eyebrow lines, and lips that literally glittered into the evening.  Once backstage, I couldnt resist peaking out through the draped white curtains and saw a ballroom filled to capacity with standing room only.  Right there, my heart paused and all I could feel was a wonderful rush I can call my first fashion show.  When the clothes draped over the models, the entire look we were creating came to life.  Show starts and models walked, and you could hear people with their reactions.  It was amazing. Between quick changes backstage, the final runway looks were ready and walked the runway.  Emily and I couldnt wait to walk out there and show all the two faces behind these looks, and when we did, the room stood in applause and it was absolutely amazing. I am so proud to be involved with the fashion industry here in DETROIT.  And after all was over, I took a moment to think and realized, I could do a million more of these shows.  And I will.  I love this.  I love my business partner/ best friend, I love the entire staff we had that day and throughout the last nine months.  Right here I want to thank all involved. Detroit Fashion Weeks founder Brian Heath, David Darby and Danielle DePew (TIMEPIECE PRODUCTION-photography and web design), Christian Dior Makeup Artists, Rochelle, Adrienne, Ann, Margaret, and Alyssa. Bashar Salon in Birmingham Hair Stylists, Vincent, Sarah, and Megan. FEMILIA dolls Ingrid, Alexandra, Shavon, Susan, Jenny, Kara, Marijana, Lindsey, Michelle, Vanessa, Samantha, Mahogany, and Charde. You are all loved so much and FEMILIA will always remember how big of an impact you all helped us make that first debut show, on the eve of Saturday September 29th, 2007. XOXOXOXOXO CIAO!-Fotoula

Half way through the week and still so much to do... Its just under a month from the first teaser show FEMILIA will be debuting at in the DETROIT FASHION WEEK Press Party and Benifit in Association with Saks Fifth Avenue and Christian Dior. This will be at The Townsend Hotel in Birmingham, on September 18.  Tickets are $100 and available at detroitfashionweek.com.  Part of the proceeds from the benefit will be donated to a local womens shelter, Haven, and included in your ticket purchase, you will recieve a $25 gift certificate to Saks and a gift bag of Dior cosmetics valued at $25.  Also there will be Hors'duerves and drinks served through the night and you will also be one the first Detroiters to preview some items from the Designers highlighted in DETROIT FASHION WEEK.  If this might seem to be something you are interested in your support is greatly appreciated.  And I do hope to see you there.  I can tell you from my part, you will not be disappointed.  A night full of fashion, gab, charity, and spirits. Also, FEMILIA will rock!!! So, as for now, the countdown is still on and time is going to continue to fly.  So.... Off to work I go.  Have a great day, muffins. XO
