Now that my new album is out, I have revealed my RL identity in SL as Randal Prater. So, I have less need for Linus websites. If any of you wants to contact me via the internet, please go to one of the below websites. I can still be reached in-world as well. Just send an IM to Linus Radford as always. But, I will be checking sites like this much less in the future. So, if you need a timely response from me, this is not the place to get that. For those who wish to purchase any of my albums in-world, I will be building a skybox soon for you to do that. If you want to buy it on the internet, try the links below. Thanks very much for your support! -- Lurve, Randal (aka: Linus).

The subject line says it all. I used to have my SL concert calendar here at MySpace, but it just got to be too much to keep it constantly updated. Since most of my shows are regular weekly gigs, and since I wanted to have everything at my own website LinusRadford.com, I decided to just put it all in one spot. So, if you want to keep track of where I'm playing in SL throughout the week, point yer lil' mousies there. See you all soon, I hope. Cheers!

Linus

For those of you who have followed my SL music career (for lack of a better word), you probaby know of the indie venue I've called my home that I built called Kittyshack. Well, I originally built it on a 512 plot when I was a noob just to put my toe in the SL waters. Once I decided I was gonna stick around in cartoonland, I rebuilt The Shack bigger and better on a 4096 plot on another sim. Well, that sim was overrun by camping chairs, which meant the sim was constantly full. Certainly no place to have concerts unless I was happy with three people in the audience and twenty IMs complaining they couldn't get to the show because the sim was full. So, I blew up The Shack, sold the land and bought a 1024 plot elsewhere with the idea of just having a place to hang my cartoon hat.

Instead of building Kittyshack version three, I decided to build a new place with a new name for a new era. The sim is called Twilight Bound, which I love. My venue is called Idlemyth and is now open to everyone in my fan group Linus & the Fakers (just do a group search for Linus if you're not in already). This is now the place to buy my RL albums in-world, for those who don't already have them. It will be open to the general public soon once I decide on a good date to have my debut show there.

Anyway, I thought I'd let you know what was up. Sorry I haven't blogged in a while. See you on the ol' playground :)

Lurve,
Linus

This is my public thank you to WaterFall for taking such wonderful photos of The Fakers & Me. Please point yer lil' mousies HERE to see what you missed. Even if you were at the show(s), you didn't see it through her eyes. But, now you can. Enjoy! -- Lurve, Linus.

I did a radio show today and posted two songs from that set, Death The Bride & Dancing Barefoot. I posted them for those who are curious what my acoustic set sounds like, but haven't had the chance to catch a live show on Second Life.

If there are any SL venue owners out there who would like to book me to play a show, please IM me in-world or get in touch here at MySpace.

Thanks!

Please join me for the first of what I hope are many SL solo acoustic performances. I have four RL albums (CDs) in my archive, plus the current one I'm recording. I'll also toss out a couple of relatively obscure cover songs for good measure. This will not only be my first solo SL performance, but the first concert ever on the Kittyshack Roof. Force midnight once you get there and you can see the show by moonlight under a sea of stars :) -- Linus.

You'll never guess, but lil' ol' me was interviewed for the German SL magazine Hello Second Life (that link is for the English version). It's their debut issue and they did a great job with it. You can see/download it online via the above link, or you can see it in-world at my indie sky club called Kittyshack (it's hanging next to my green MP3 vendor for my songs). Special thanks to Lexx Altamura and the whole gang at the magazine for making this possible. They are sincerely a great group of folks, and I wish them every success with their publication! -- Linus.

So, here's my idea. Maybe you can help me, or know of someone who would be into this. I have a basement full of my RL CDs to sell. I like to host and attend listening parties in both worlds. I also like the SL world of make believe. So, if I throw all that in a nice bundle, here's what I get:

Linus & the Fakers will play what I call not-so-live shows at KITTYSHACK on a semi-regular basis. It will be me, someone to play guitar (or bass, if you want), and someone to play drums. I have a drum kit. I have drum sticks. I have guitars and basses. What I don't have are three avatars. I just have me. So, if you or someone you know would like to be one of the Fakers, please send a MySpace message, or even better, find me inworld and send me an IM.

All you'd have to do is stand onstage and jump around and have fun. I'll do the rest. I'll just play tracks from my CDs of songs I wrote/played/sang/recorded in RL. So, we'll be there live, but none of the tracks will be live. I'll do acoustic live stuff on my own. This is different.

My ideal plan would be just to take two random people from the audience and plant them onstage. I'd like the Fakers to be different people each show. I'll be the only constant fixture. That way nobody has to commit to anything, time-wise. Just show up for a one-off and have a good time. You can set up your own tip jar and keep whatever the audience tosses your way.

What do you think? Who's in?

Linus.

My first build in SL is an indie club called KITTYSHACK. It is now open to the general public. We'll have live shows, not-so-live shows, and dj events. We'll also just hang out and chill, either on the ground floor or the roof. Your choice. Come and go as you please. See you there :) -- Linus.
