Just a little note to explain where I am in my songwriting world...

I have been exploring a lot, and the whole notion of having an 'online presence' seems to be rather important in the music industry. So here goes! Its a whole notion of sharing (which can be pretty frightening) and trying to build up an interest around what I am doing. Dreaming it all up, and keeping myself motivated and focused.

The last 4 years have seen me leaving behind my Musical theatre days of 8 show weeks, to actively pursue my dream of working and liviing as a songwriter/producer. Knowledge of Pro Tools has increased my productivity in leaps and bounds, and I was able to write, produce, and release my debut album 'Butterflies' last year. Its incredible to see how there is so much accessible to the artist these days. With the amazing progression of music software, artists can produce amazing work without crippling studio costs. As a result, there is sooooooo much music out there... a lot of brilliant work.

Anyhow, these blogs allow me to share with you, keep myself focused, and having to put my money where my mouth is! Its hard not to follow up on a plan once you have told everyone! My current plan is to actively keep promoting myself online, build my online presence, and complete my second album by july/august. Name of the album is to be confirmed, but it has a slightly different direction to my debut. I think its more upbeat, with a more blues feel. My mediterranean roots always come through however... so lets call it Mediterranean Blues!
