Quite alots happened recently and here's all the details:

- 10 days downtime mid July
- Script update was on the 23rd July
- Credit Payment Scale was changed for a wider choice of purchases
- Our first killer round ran for 7 days with great success
- August cash round began 1hr ago! (Lasts 10 days)
- Second killer round began yesterday (Lasts 10 days)
- New graphics have been placed in the Casino
- We have become PayPal Verified so you can now buy credits and contracts in confidence
- Minor changes to our sponsored links (Google AdSense)
- We moved MafiaLords to a new, more reliable server
- We've come up with a new email template so you can now be contacted in style (will be put in place in a few days)
- Family icons are now working on the home page when displaying round and player stats
- Rankings are updated more regularly
- Networth calculations were changed slightly
- Bank now has a limit on how much you can deposit
- Bank interest now runs on the hour every hour at 2% for both supporters and free ranks
- In the next week we will be updating the Winners page to display the 3 groups of winners i.e

- Supporter
- Normal
- Family

They will clearly show the top 3 of each category
- Winners page will also be cut down to the last 3 rounds, rather than display all the previous rounds (29 rounds and counting lol)
- A new template is being designed for MafiaLords to allow better user interaction

Well that's a long list right there...can't think of any more at the moment but if I do I'll let you all know. For those of you that are regular players at MafiaLords or have signed up for an account previously, then you have been e-mailed about most of the changes already, not to mention the details of the up and coming rounds

Hope to see you all hitting the streets again with your ak's, I'll be the guy sitting in the mansion with the mass of bodyguards, attack me if you dare ;)

Hey all,

We have people supporting us all the time, either through purchasing credits or contracts in game, to designing new ad banners, posting about MafiaLords on forums and blogs, but as many of you know already, MySpace is probably one of the biggest places you could use for advertising and with the use of mass mails, it makes the process alot quicker and allows us to reach our target audience.

We welcome support of all types but to increase the size of our audience on MySpace we need more friends, so please everyone, make sure you add us as a friend and tell your friends about us

Hey all,

It's been a fun 10 days but I'm afraid the cash round has finally come to an end. A player known as RICK the round and made off with $174 days, so a big well done to him.

Looking at the scores it appears to be a very distant win with only one other possible rival but it so happens that they are in the same crew so he could not attack his teammate Rick.

The next cash round will probably start next month on the 1st June, yet again it will last 10 days and any credits or contracts bought will go towards the jackpot.

I hope to see alot more of you signing up and giving it a go, I'd like to have alot more competition on the site and new players is what we need ;)

I'm glad to announce that MafiaLords will once again have cash prizes. We are at that stage where we can start offering them again.

The cash prize round will typically last 10 days, there's unlimited credit add-on, reserve of 5000 credits and you can store up to 2000 credits. Turn speed will be 10 turns per 10mins, with the supporters getting 50% extra

If you want to make to have the best chance as possible I would highly recomend becoming a supporter, this can be done either by using referral credits in the "Referral Store" or by Purchasing Credits.

The JACKPOT will be progressive so the more money people spend, the greater the JACKPOT will be.

Hey all,

Well it's my last day off before going back to work again, not happy about it but I suppose there's not much that can be done about it...

Been working on a few things that needed fixing, nothing major but it was effecting the gameplay and functionality of the game.

- Bank interest has been fixed, you'll now receive your 2% interest every hour on the hour. This was a simple problem with the cronjobs, basically the host went down the other day for about 12hrs because they suspended my account because of their system, they don't keep track very well and they ended up suspending y account for something that happened 6 months ago that got resolved lol

Not to mention that they've been messing around with their settings alot which has caused my cronjobs to play up occassionally but hopefully this will be the last incident of cronjob errors...

The other fix is the purchasing of credits. The idea of it is when you buy credits via PayPal, the game then automatically adds the credits to your account making my life a whole lot easier because I don't have to manually add them every time someone buys turns. This feature hasn't been working for a week or so but I think I've found the solution, only problem is I can't test to see if it worked or not because you can't make payments to yourself over PayPal lol

But hopefully when the next player purchases some credits I'll be able to confirm that this process is indeed working again.

Just a quick heads up, at the moment the bank isn't calculating interest every hour. I'm quite sure that the problem is just a cronjob and shouldn't take too long to fix.

I haven't got around to fixing it yet because I've been having problems with the host and I've been trying to get a few issues resolved, hopefully I'll get it done within the next 24hrs. I'll post another message once it's fixed and I'll also slap a notice on the news in game

Hey all,

This is probably what all your MafiaLords players out there wanted to hear. We are currently handing out credit prizes at the end of every round to the top player and will shortly be handing out more to other players, list of prizes below:

- Top 3 supporters
- Top 3 free players
- Top 3 families
- Top whore killer

The credits awarded for the top supporter and free players will usually range between 5,000 - 10,000 credits. The family ranks however will be based on the amount of members...

1st family gets 1500 credits per member
2nd family gets 1000 credits per member
3rd family gets 500 credits per member

As you can seem, that's probably the fairest way we could make it and to avoid the boss of that family from running off with tonnes of turns lol

Not only are we giving away more turns, but if your a supporter, we intend to have a round dedicated to our supporters where a small entry fee is required in order to win fantastic prizes like ipods and consoles!

Remember, the more supporters player, the bigger the prize!!!
