I am addicted to locating these wonderful animals in the wild and taking pics or sometimes legally collecting a spectacular specimen for propagating.The late winter and early spring hunting is done during the day. I can barely get out of bed to go schlep around hills all day- look at those bags under my eyes. The late spring and summer are when tactics shift to night driving and more vampire hours which is great! They don't come out in warm weather until the cooler night sets in- I look more alive in those pics in spring and summer hunting

and my really dorky picture of myself holding the last one I found... looking for these guys is extremely hard work. Walking up and down hills for hours on end, flipping rocks, avoiding rattlesnake bites etc.
