Jen: Tell us about yourself and your significance in the group?
S: Rockwave and I write the songs and sing in the band. Vigilante Christ(The Unseen) and RezB make up the other half of our new core lineup. Together we have crafted a new LIVE sound for the band…
Jen: How did you get started in the music profession?
S: I began banging around on my mom’s piano when I was 3. Eventually my mom put me in formal piano lessons when I was 8. I loved playing piano and singing songs about imaginary friends like pigs or mermaids. When I was 12 my mom bought me a guitar and I continued to write songs that expressed my feelings about the hardships of being an adolescent. I also joined the school band and played flute. When I was 16 I moved to ....Colorado.... and began playing open mic nights with my acoustic folk songs. When I was 19 I met Rockwave and we started The New Waveforms. That was in 2003. I’ve been working with him on expanding my knowledge of industrial and electronic music ever since.
R: Since I was a little kid my parents always encouraged me to play music. They started me on piano but I changed to guitar a few years later. Guitar ended up being my main instrument (despite THE NEW WAVEFORMS’ synth heavy sound). I think one of my first recording experiences was on my dad’s old 8 track recorder (eventually I ended up renting out my own rehearsal space with my own 8 track recorder). A couple years later I switched to recording music digitally (on computers). That’s when music really changed for me. I started developing into more of a producer, programmer, and composer.
Jen: What is your latest song?
S: Our debut full length album, “Evidence Against Them” features a song called “Darkness” that is our main single for the album. A remix of the song will be released in the near future. We also have a lot of new songs that we play live that will eventually be released.
Jen: Have you been compared to any other goth/industrial groups? If so, what is your take on that?
R: The usual suspects. NIN, Skinny Puppy, Depeche Mode, KMFDM, Switchblade Symphony
S: I am honored when people tell me that I sound like Tina Root from Switchblade Symphony.
Jen: Is your music based on personal experiences?
S: One example of a song that is based on a personal experience is “Cozmos”. That song was written during a time in my life where I lost a very close friend. We both changed so much as people and we no longer were able to be friends. It broke my heart when she told me she couldn’t be my friend any more. Another example is a new song called “Better Future” that has yet to be released. In this song I sing about my desire to improve the state of the world for children and the whole of humanity. Ultimately, all of our songs are a reflection of the world around us.
R: Some are based on personal experiences. Some are more reflective of society. A lot of our songs (on our album, “Evidence Against Them”) are based on various government conspiracies such as 9/11, chemtrails, and the systematic destruction of history.
Jen: Tell us about the Vendetta Festival:

Jen: Have you performed at any other festivals?
S: In May of 2008 we played at The Colorado Dark Arts Festival (at The Church nightclub in ....Denver....) with God Module.
Jen: What is your favorite song to perform?
S: I love singing “The Truth They Know”.
R: There are some really cool new ones that we love to play but the ones that I cling toward the most are Chemwaste and Bloodline Trails.
VC (The Unseen): Honestly there’s so many new songs that we’ve introduced into the set that it’s hard to pick a favorite.
RezB: I really enjoy playing Bang! and Bloodline Trails
Jen: Do you have any videos to any of your songs or is there any plan to make one?
S: VJ ZOMBIE has produced some really cool videos for us. He’s done videos for Darkness, The Truth They Know, and Over the Shoulder. One of the songs that we cover is Ministry’s “Over the Shoulder”. I think it would be a lot of fun to do a cover of the original video with a modern twist.
R: Ministry’s “Over the Shoulder” video was very influential on me when I was growing up….I think that it would be loads of fun to remake it.
Jen: What would you like to tell your fans and new found fans?
S: I hope that our music will inspire you to create your own and influence you to see the world through a different lens.
R: Thank you to each and every one of you for your support! And get ready because there’s lots of new music and merch on the way…
Jen: After the Vendetta Festival, what are your plans music wise?
S: We will finish working on our upcoming album, “Remix Against Them”
