Eclectic Crazyland is back on air with a new show - Episode 48 - Who Was Prince Machabelli? AKA The Sky is Falling Mix! Ooh! there are some tasty treats this week fer sure! Brilliant wonky cover of the Link Wray classic Rumble by The Trashmen, Ike & Tina rock out big time and sing about the beloved man accessory - the toupee - with their track Tight Pants. Lloyd Grossman, he of the weird voice and pasta sauce empire, was cool once! Before he was a nerdy TV presenter, he had a punk band called Jet Bronx and the Forbidden and they did a wicked song called Ain't Doin Nothin. My latest treasure , brace yourself for this one - John Cooper Clarkes first ever single release - Suspended Sentence!!! Came out in 1977 on Rancid Records and features music by Martin Hannett!!! AKA Joy Divisions producer (and many other bands on early Factory Record Releases)! Macedonia's Gypsy answer to Kanye West - Amza Keman with a live performance in a restaurant. Rough Trades first ever single release - Angelic Upstarts with The Murder of Liddle Towers. Plus new(ish) stuff from Pj Harvey, Wooden Shjips, and my fave new band - Admiral Sir Cloudesley Shovell (if you like Sir Lord Baltimore you wanna hear them!) And much more!!! The story - You are Rock and Roll Space Monkey, the baddest guitar
player in all the galaxies, traveling from planet to planet battling
evil aliens that want to bring rock down! Your mission is to go to five
planets and kill all the aliens so that Rock and Roll will be preserved
for ever! Your weapon of choice - YOUR GUITAR!



Level 1 - Planet Spazjazz- Big Green Meanie and his Little Green
Minions - these are beatnick aliens, who only like jazz and really hate

Ladies and Gents!

I had a little time on my hands and thought I would revisit an old project. About 6 years ago, I with two friends descended on my home town to make a documentary film about the local transgendered community. Now, I will be the first to say, I will never win an award from this for camera, editing, lighting, or anything technical, BUT there really was a deep story here that I just had to capture, no matter what. And I am so glad I did, because since this film was made in 2002, 3 of my subjects have passed away, and there are no more gay bars for the queens to perform in... So this is kind of like a time capsule of their lives... I guarantee you this movie will have you laughing in places and also move you to tears in others. It's a diamond in the rough!

The film is about 25 minutes in length and I broke it down into 10 parts, start with 1 and go to 10.... Here's the blurb!

Welcome to the deep south of Muscogee County, Georgia; USA and meet Mac, a kind little man with a hobby - photographing the local Drag Performers. Mac has been taking pictures since the 1980's and has an archive of over 8,000 photos in his collection.
This Southern Gothic/ "fly on the wall" type documentary is centered around Mac and the cast of characters in his photo albums.

Some times we judge people because they are different from us, but if we take a chance to get to know them and scratch beyond the surface, we find that they are warm and generous with amazing stories to tell.

So come on down to small town Dixie and meet Mac and his friends, they are the sweetest people you'll ever encounter!
