This is my personal list of the top 10 heavyweight champions of all time.  I have no problem with those of you that would out Ali ahead of Louis.  Just remember that Louis was champ for 11 years 7 months.  That’s longer than any title holder in any weight division.  Larry Holmes is a vastly underrated fighter who held the tile for 7 years before being upset by light heavyweight champion Michael Spinks.  Holmes was well past his prime when they fought in September of 1985.

Rocky Marciano didn’t hold the title as long as the above mentioned fighters but he did manage to retire undefeated.  Something no other champion has been able to do.

Jack Johnson was far superior to his fistic peers during his title reign.  He was a man ahead of his times as far as race relations go.
