May 7, 2008 - Wednesday
Sadly, due to poor health, Valerie Perez, Star of Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Tears Of The Dragon, has had to cancel her trip to this year's Bristol International Comic Expo Film Night.
She does assure me, however, that she plans to attend next year instead.
We wish her all our best, and hope that she feels better soon.
April 25, 2008 - Friday

Orang Utan Comics are proud and honoured to announce that there shall be an Artist Wall open throughout the evening for anyone to contribute to, and shall be auctioned off after the weekend in aid of the British Heart Foundation.

We selected the British Heart Foundation in memory of our friend, James Redington, who sadly passed away last year of a rare heart condition at far too young an age. He was known throughout the British comic industry for his contributions, including the founding of his own comic publisher, Portent Comics, and his writing on the always popular Rob & Ducky, and his sadly shortlived Elite.

He will be greatly missed.
April 21, 2008 - Monday
The Cosplay Competition and Masquerade deadline for entry has been extended from April 26th to May 2nd, to allow you all further time to ready your costumes, organise yourselves, and send your forms back.

For details on the Competition, and to enter, please read the Blog Entry here, download the form and return it to filmnight@orangutancomics.co.uk by May 2nd 2008.

Thank you!
April 14, 2008 - Monday

Orang Utan Comics are proud to announce the addition of AMV Hell 3: The Motion Picture to our schedule, for it's second year in a row!

Usually we wouldn't repeat films, but this one is really special, and a lot of people missed it last year. Not only that, but if you have seen it, I've no doubt you'll want to yet again! It really is that good.

AMV Hell 3: The Motion Picture is the third of a series of films created from the compilation of Anime Music Videos - AMVs - which is far superior to its predecesors in every way. It is bigger, better, faster, funnier, and just downright awesomer.

This feature length film must be seen to be believed.

Both fans - and indeed haters - of anime alike will enjoy it.
April 5, 2008 - Saturday
