When John Lennon died 29 years ago today, most people found out from Howard Cosellhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5gcdz1IRV..oM. I was 5 years old sitting in our living room in Glen Park and found out about it when my teary-eyed mom put on HELP! to somehow mark the occasion. My uncle's name is also John, and he gave me all his Beatles records and guitar. So I thought my uncle had died. My uncle was alive, my mom assured me. And so was John Lennon's music. She smiled. That is what inspired me to someday make a record with my friends, which is out today on Three Ring Records.
