Hi chumps!

My god, I'm so sorry. It's been fucking looooong since I last blogged here. I've been pretty busy but I know that's no excuse to stay away from you. I'm sorry, what else can I say?! 

Anyways... I'm feeling uninspired at the moment. I'm unemployed, impoverished, hungry and depressed. It's doing wonders for my musical output.

I'm hoping to have a new 'collection' of songs out in the new year. There will be no CD option this time since it's just too damn hard to orchestrate... but of course the new EP/album will be available from iTunes.

In addition to the new songwriting material, I'm writing a new music blog. If you like music... real music - indie, rock, pop, grime, electro, folk, cool shit - then head over to my new website:

Peeps,

Hope all is well in each of your beautiful little worlds... I'm happy because the sun's shining and I'm off out on the town with a mate of mine this evening! :D

Sorry there hasn't been a lot of action from the Anthony Hill Music camp in recent weeks... I'm busy busy busy with tons of other stuff so the songwriting's taking a backseat once again... but...

I made a new video today. It's me playing the Alessi's Ark song 'The Horse'. It's a really beautiful tune, and if you're not aware of her already, Alessi's Ark is an incredible British singer/songwriter that everyone should be listening to!

Dearest friends,

I shed tears for Michael Jackson last night, in fact, I didn't go to bed but instead stayed awake all night listening to his records and watching news coverage of his death.

June 25th will be remembered as a day on which the world of entertainment suffered its greatest loss in history. Michael was a truly remarkable entertainer and a genius, though sometimes misunderstood, a musical legend nonetheless.

What he did for pop music and for black artists in particular is unparalleled. His heart may have stopped beating but his music and his legacy will never die.

Rest peacefully, Michael.

Hounds and foxes,

It's with overwhelming relief that I announce my safe arrival back in Preston after a week travelling around the UK to celebrate my 22nd birthday! (I bet most of you never noticed I went away... you're forgiven, I forgot to mention it!)

Anyways... armed with tons of photographs, fantastic memories and inspired to the max, I came back and wrote a song straight away. It's a lighthearted little number called 'I Told You I Was Nice'. A video link will follow... hope you like it!


There are also a couple of new photos in my 'Me & My Guitar' album if anyone's interested... just a few quick snaps of me from a weekend spent in London!

I'm thrilled to announce that physical CD copies of my album 'Lines and Dots' now cost much less!

You can now get the album, complete with full artwork and songbook, 3 badges, 2 stickers and a signed photo of moi, for just £9.99 (around $16) from my website.



That lot would've previously set you back £15.95 - so there's lots of money to be saved!!

Fruits and nuts,

Lords and ladies,

Summer's officially here! Isn't it exciting to be removing clothes and applying sun cream - it's been a long time coming hasn't it. I hope those of you who've been doing exams and such over the past weeks are beginning to feel the relief of the summer holidays approaching... I know i am! (a bit)

I'm trying to make use of some of my extra spare time, making new videos for YouTube. A lot of the ones I'm doing are just of songs I wrote/covered a long time ago and feel I should update since it's been so long. The two new ones I've put up today are a cover of Kate Nash's song 'Birds' and one of my older songs 'Shimmy Like Kate'.

Hi chumps!

I just posted a new video on YouTube... it's of me playing one of my older songs Simple Simon (from my first CD 'Time Bomb')

It's been a really long time since I played that particular song, but I've been practicing tons of oldies in preparation for the gathering which will take place on June 13!

Hopefully by then I'll be up to scratch on all the tunes (new and old) and be able to play through a mammoth sing-along set!

I really hope some of you guys will be able to make the trip to Preston for the day... should be really good fun (and hopefully the weather will be gorgeous!)

Hi chumps!

This is a bit of a random one... I don't know if many of you are aware, but there's a girl on YouTube called Paperlilies, and she's very popular.

She did this thing called the Sticker Exchange where people sent her any cool stickers that they had, so that she could divide them up, swap them and send different stickers back out to those people!

Well, I sent some stickers with my face on... here's the result!
