To celebrate the end of term for George W. Bush, the worst president in U.S. history, Relapse will issue grind / hardcore / power violence compilation The Comp Kills Fascists as a limited edition 7” box set on January 20th, 2009.

The limited edition box set features a 7x21” poster and seven 7”s housed in a box featuring the incendiary Bush “Cockstika” cover art (viewable here) that was turned away by all but one printing company. All pre-orders will also include a limited-run t-shirt featuring the same artwork.

The 7” pairings are as follows: BRUTAL TRUTH / MAGRUDERGRIND, INSECT WARFARE / MARUTA, AGENTS OF SATAN / WEEKEND NACHOS, SHIT STORM (mems. of TORCHE) / MAN WILL DESTROY HIMSELF, TOTAL FUCKING DESTRUCTION / CHAINSAW TO THE FACE, KILL THE CLIENT / SPOONFUL OF VOCODIN, and ASRA / WASTEOID.

This Comp Kills Fascists, originally released on CD last July, was culled together by PIG DESTROYER / AGORAPHOBIC NOSEBLEED’s Scott Hull. The compilation received year-end credits from both Decibel and Revolver magazines as one of the best releases of 2008. Audio samples taken from This Comp… can be heard now at www.myspace.com/thiscompkillsfascists.

“Containing 51 songs, 14 bands, and an up-to-the-second sampling of grindcore, doom, power violence, and noisecore today, This Comp Kills Fascists could be Generation Extreme's Metal Massacre.” - Revolver

“These are the sickest bands in existence violently speaking out against the evils of a greed driven society, all while bleeding out the eardrums of a nation.” – Outburn

“’Fascists’ is essential listening for those who like their music shorter, faster and louder…” – Terrorizer

“an unforgiving and quite brilliant assault on the senses.” – Rock Sound

DECIBEL magazine has named This Comp Kills Fascists as one of 2008's 40 best releases in their year-end wrap issue!

Here's what they have to say:

Various Artists - This Comp Kills Fascists Vol. 1 Relapse

With a global financial crisis in full swing, This Comp Kills Fascists Vol. 1 makes more economic sense than any record on the Decibel year-end list. Scott Hull's tribute to the legendary Cry Now, Cry Later comp series features 51 songs from 14 different bands. This includes the first new music from grind OGs Brutal Truth and Agents of Satan in a decade, final shocks from ASRA (R.I.P.) and Insect Warfare (R.I.P.) and more crazy fucking noise than you can possibly handle. —Nick Green

Order the issue here.

REVOLVER magazine has named This Comp Kills Fascists as one of 2008's 20 best releases (at spot 12) in their 2008 wrap-up/2009 preview issue!

Here's what Kory Grow and REVOLVER have to say:

This Comp Kills Fascists, Vol. 1

Containing 51 songs, 14 bands, and an up-to-the-second sampling of grindcore, doom, power violence, and noisecore today, This Comp Kills Fascists could be Generation Extreme's Metal Massacre. Better yet, curator Scott Hull, also the guitarist of Pig Destroyer and Agoraphobic Nosebleed, drafted more Metallicas than Ratts: From Cali sludge jesters Agents of Satan to Nebraskan "no coast power violence" duo Wasteoid (as well as New York grind legends Brutal Truth, contributing their first original songs in a decade), there's hardly a misstep. And since most songs barely crack a minute, when there is one, it's over quick. - Kory Grow

... and by a couple, i mean two. anyway, these are great...

first up, is a review posted to Last.fm by a user who came to see us play in RVA at Nara Sushi, with; COUGH, SWEAT LODGE, SNACK TRUCK, & WALLS....(actually, he didn't come to see us play, but that's ok, because some people who did were mistaken as "our girlfriends", and the vocalist was mistakenly id'd as the drummer. i know, easy to do, right...microphone / drum kit... what's the difference). Anyway, we appreciate the review, regardless............

Sun 16 Nov – WALLS / SNACKTRUCK / SWEAT LODGE / COUGH / MAN WILL DESTROY HIMSELF

I have to say this is probably one of the most fun shows I've ever been
too. I got a kid on my floor to go with me, he'd never listened to doom
metal, nor hardcore, had no clue what the hell we were going to other
than the fact that it was five dollars and that I was excited about it
(he thinks my music is weird). Flier said the show started at nine,
thank God we didn't leave any earlier because they didn't do doors
until almost nine forty.

First up was
Cough, a local sludge doom band. Three stacks of Ampeg, Orange, and Sunn O)))
along with a Matamp. They set up, and it took a little while just
because of how much stuff they had. Before they started playing the
drummer was talking to someone and I heard him say that they got
offered to do a split 7" with Bongripper, and was asking if they were
any good. Anyways, they started playing, and it was like the end of the
world. Slow-as-maple-syrup-in-the-winter-time southern sludge doom
played at extreme volumes. They only played three songs in a half hour
but it was one of those half hours that never seemed to end because it
was so good. The drummer went through about three or four pairs of
sticks and either kept launching them on accident or just throwing them
down. He hit his kit so hard I thought he was going to break something.
His crash was set up over his tom and it kept getting in the way so
about midway through their first song he picked it up and threw it to
the side so he could hit the crash. And at one point he had thrown all
of his drum sticks and lost his last set and got up and screamed and a
guy up front got one of the drummers spare sets and handed it to him.
Think
Moss mixed with Burning Witch, that's as best as I can describe it.

Then
Man Will Destroy Himself
played. Apparently they brought their girlfriends as well as some
personal friends and shit started getting rowdy. Their girlfriends,
small and petite that they were stood watching as they played their
set. I have a good feeling that the bassist was totally wasted, and the
one friend of theirs kept getting up in his face and pointing his
finger at the bassist and stopping his foot the ENTIRE set. The bassist
grabbed the mic and said "Now this is a good example of having too much
to drink". At this point, the other personal friend pretty much threw
everyone to the side so that he could stand right up front and head
bang so hard that he could have easily gotten a concussion. The man was
probably in his late forties with silvering hair and was a complete and
total asshole in every sense of the word. A guy came in about halfway
through their set and looked like a stereotypical wannabe badass with
his pullover fleece jacket and kakis. He got a beer and stood next to
me and started bobbing his head to what I can compare to the movement
of what a chicken makes. He then proceeded to start jumping up and down
like a little girl at Warped Tour and head banging some more and I just
looked over at him and started busting out laughing, all the while the
drunk guy now stealing the bassists hat and throwing it at him over and
over again. And then their set was over. It was okay, it all kinda
sounded the same. Their drummer was short and crazy though.

Then
Sweat Lodge
played. I had never heard them before. It was hardcore that could have
easily been classified as chaotic. They only played about five songs
but they were pretty good.

Then
Walls
set up. The drummer from Iron Lung plays drums in this band, and I
swear to God Walls' guitarist looks like fucking Oren Ambarchi. Tall
slender looking fellow with a stack of Sunn O)))'s and a crazy looking
guitar. I really thought it was Oren. Well anyways they took a little
while to set up but that was okay because I was really psyched to hear
what it sounded like. They got everything going, and it was super loud,
and it started off with the drummer doing some D-beat and the guitarist
and bassist pretty much just making as much noise as they could and the
vocalist just kept screaming. And then all of a sudden it got really
slow and doomy, before more guitar ejaculation and straight up noise.
The guitarist kept throwing his guitar and almost hitting people and I
really don't think he cared. And then it just started getting weird.
The vocalist pushed through all of us, spilling the guy in front of
me's beer, all over the tee shirt and record I bought, thank God it
didn't do anything to either. The vocalist stood behind the crowd
screaming while the band played in front of us. He started dancing and
kicking and flailing and rolling on the floor, and I looked back up
front and the bassist was also on the floor, and the guitarist was just
making noise. The vocalist went into the mass of us and just started
screaming in everyones face and then went over to the door like he was
going to leave except with the mic and started screaming some more and
then went into the bathroom and did some vocals there (thats how small
the place is). And then the guitarist pushed through all of us like the
vocalist did, and then went back, and threw his guitar around some more
and made some more noise and then they were done. Just imagine Oren if
he played guitar in Menstruation Sisters instead of drums. Chaotic,
noisy, sleazy punk noise. It was so bizzare and I wish I would have
taken a video because I feel like I did a poor job at explaining it.

================================================

And now, my favorite little review... the last show of our little mini-tour, was in Durham, with; HATCHETFACE and TOOTH, at a great new place in Durham, called; The Pinhook. Anyway, review... straight and to the point! yuppie annihilators!

I just visited the Pinhook for the first time a couple of weeks ago.
Saw Tooth and Man Will Destroy Himself. Man Will... did a fantastic job
in clearing the joint of yuppies.

Great place to see a show and great beer on tap. Throw in the Wusses and y'all got yerselves a partay.

1st pressings of the Double LP release of This Comp Kills Fascists Vol.1, from Deep Six Records have arrived. Thanks and respect to Bob, for putting this comp down on the high grade heavy wax. It looks great with the Ronald McDonald cover, too. We have a very limited amount of these platters available, so grab one while you can.

Additionally, Relapse has announced that TCKFv.1 has been picked up by Decibel Magazine as one their Top 40 albums of 2008. Nice! With this, notiification of an innauguration release has been scheduled for  Jan. 20, 2009, with the George Bush dick-swastika face CD label art on the cover of a 7x7" box set (2 bands per 7")! Kind of silly, yet pretty damn cool. We'll have a pretty fair amount of the box sets available.

So, right now we have of CDs and 2xLPs, and will soon have 7x7"boxsets of this comp. All formats will be available at MWDH shows. 2xLPs are very limited, so they're first come first serve. Any distros wishing to make trades, please get in touch.
