For those of you who have asked, here are the lyrics for our free EP. Click the banner at the top of our page to download it! Love you, mean it.
Andrew and The Stat. Set.
A Promise & A Threat
Black pen with red ink It's far to dark to see it, oh the irony So I'm stabbing my drink Like it's threatening me
Nine or then ten, now I'm in my element I've got big plans but I end up forgetting them Woe is me My mind runs on light but once the sun has set again, I will find the things that will replenish it Woah, is this me?
I am certain that By tonight I will see more clearly where I lie From these mirrored walls of mine And in the end I'll send Some untimely message that says, "I could love you again."
Let's go defense! I have been through worse than this It's not a comeback unless there was a deficit Woe is me My mind runs on light but once the sun has set again, I will find the things that will replenish it Woah, this is me
I am certain that By tonight I will see more clearly where I lie From these mirrored walls of mine And in the end I'll send Some untimely message that says, "I could love you again, that's a promise..."
That's a promise and a threat
Resign these eyes! I will see more clearly when I die From these mirrored walls of mine And in the end I'll send Some untimely message that says, "I could love you again, and that's a threat."
Constitution
If this doesn't work out, if you're not enough Then everyone elses hope will be lost For we were the stuff that movies are made from
And where did the sex go? Weren't you the one? The mystery, magic, and music are gone We've torn a page from the volumes of love
And if this were meant to be worth it If this would one day be perfect Then speak up dear for it's unclear how to do this
Surprise, surprise! I am finding out the easy way That one missed step goes a long, long way And all the late-night walks in the world, They won't change a thing And my demise Is that I am finding out in the hardest way That the best part of giving your heart away: Is taking it back one day
Now what have we learned kids? It's all give and take, We all compromise and we all make mistakes And forgiveness is, something... blah, blah, blah, blah
No, no, no, no The fist thing that comes is the focus on flaws Then the resentment and screening their calls And the glory of the awkward pause
Please forgive me I'm nervous And I'm just doing this on purpose But speak up dear for it's unclear how to do this
Surprise, surprise! I am finding out the easy way That a little second guess is a big mistake And all the coffee shop talks in the world, They won't change a thing And my demise Is that I am finding out in the hardest way That the best part of giving your heart away: Is taking it back one day
Game over
Method Actor
Three cheers for running away, on five, four, three, two, one Hip-Hip Hooray! But I'm still smiling Never taken a class, I learned this all by myself Master of the craft of being somebody else I play all of my friends so well
I'm always hitting my mark but I'm always coming up short This is not just drama child, it's so much more! I'm a method actor But I didn't give and I didn't let go Maybe saving some one you love by cutting your own rope, Makes you an idiot not a hero
And for my next act when the marker snaps I'll recite my lines with feeling On the big screen, in that final scene I will stick to the script as it was written for me
(Frame by frame I steal your lines, Take by take I long to find my...)
On the big screen In that final scene I will stick to the script and find my happy ending...
This Is Our Nature
We are as we were when we arrived And we shall be the day that we die And I'm willing to wager That our bones will grow and our cells they will divide As will our hearts not far behind For this is our nature
And beware of those day-planners and their ways Of keeping their stories straight It's of no use Oh, it's the double-life for me for all of my days And I'm not just losing face I'm losing more of my excuse
I should be followed wherever I go Oh all of these things that no one knows get on my nerves And my ears burn when I am alone But for all good things I can only hope But I'm not so sure
We are like the stories, the leaves, the lines These things they have two sides And I'm gonna make sure That when my bones they break and my cells, they do resign And my heart meets it's demise This will have been my nature
And beware of those day-planners and their ways Of keeping their stories straight It's of no use Oh, it's the double-life for me for all of my days And I'm not just losing face I'm losing more of my excuse
I should be followed wherever I go Oh all of these things that no one knows get on my nerves Oh, it's the double-life for me for all of my days And I'm not just losing face I'm losing more of my excuse And my ears burn when I am alone But for all good things I can only hope But I'm not so sure

Hey kids. So on the brink of the release of our EP, and our most anticipated tour thus far, our tour van has been stolen. We aren't really sure how to deal with it because it seems so unbelievable, so despicable, so surreal that someone would steal such an important part of our lives away from us. It is a true tragedy. We were only "with" the van for a year, but it played an important role in the development our band, and most importantly, the growth of our friendship with each other. The latter may sound lame, but until you've spent weeks in a van with a group of strung out, hung over, rotten smelling friends, you wouldn't understand how true that last statement becomes. Thankfully, we were able to find a van for our upcoming tour for a nominal fee and therefore, the tour will go on as planned. Count on us to be as furious on stage as we have ever been - a whirlwind of anger and redemption. Come out and support us on this tour, we need your love more then ever. Now, observe a moment of silence for our van, which was called "Oprah Winfrey Presents The Color Purple (Featuring Fantasia). Soon. Stationary

Friends,
The summer is almost over. Find a warm body for winter.
We here at headquarters wanted to let you in on our future as we have neglected our digital phantom limb these past few months in exchange for writing and recording.
First off, this little piece of domain as well as our website will be getting a full-content rehaul in the coming month with new exciting humour and band-related pixels to distract you from work and school this fall.
In bigger news, we have a new record.
It will be released digitally this fall with a more calibrated release date to follow in the next few weeks.
It will be 100% FREE.
Yeah, free. Beat that, suckas.
We recorded it under the lense of one Bryan Russell in Maryland. He has recorded some great bands such as Envy on the Coast, Straylight Run, Minus Scale, The Narrative, and he even engineered Coldplay X&Y. Fun stuff.
For those who love liner-notes, fear not. A physical release will follow with a blow out release party in october with star-studded friends.
We are consolidating our debt. All new merchandise will be available to coincide with the album release.
We will hit the road in Oct./Nov., retreading old ground and planting our flag on a few new hills of old USandA. Dates and venues to be posted shortly.
If you ordered our last album and did not recieve it, please email thestationaryset@gmail.com to confirm your address, we know there were some return to senders who havent gotten their album yet.
Our old album will be available digitally in the next month. More on that later
The next blog is going to have alot of numbers, dates and whatnot, so listen clearly now... and follow closely. The Stationary Set is moving forward, choosing Life.
Until the hammer drops: Keep your face burried in those ivory's Schroeder.. Lucy will never love you like that piano does.
TSS
PostScript,
To the a-hole that broke in to our van and stole our 1997 Sony CD player:
a) every pawn shop in NYC has a thousand of those and no one buys them anymore, douchebag. b) Enjoy the Allison Krauss, sucka!

"The Stationary Set In mathematics, particularly in set theory and model theory, there are at least three notions of stationary set:
Classical notion If ? is a cardinal of uncountable cofinality, , and C intersects every club in ?, then C is called a stationary set. If C is not stationary then it is a thin set.
In fact the intersection of a stationary set and a club set is itself stationary. This is true because if S is stationary and C1,C2 are club we have: . Now is a club set as it is the intersection of two club sets. So is non empty. But then must be stationary as C2 is arbitrary.
See also: Fodor's lemma
The restriction to uncountable cofinality is in order to avoid trivialities: Suppose ? has countable cofinality. Then is stationary in ? if and only if is bounded in ?. In particular, if the cofinality of ? is , then any two stationary subsets of ? have stationary intersection.
This is no longer the case if the cofinality of ? is uncountable. In fact, suppose ? is regular and is stationary. Then S can be partitioned into ? many disjoint stationary sets. This result is due to Solovay. If ? is a successor cardinal, this result is due to Ulam and is easily shown by means of what is called an Ulam matrix."
TRANSLATION: The Stationary Set is a kick ass rock band. All the C1's, ?'s, and S's are gonna arbitrarily intersect, disjoint with cofinality, and partition into a club known as The Annex on January 22nd. and neither Ulam, Jech nor Fodor and his so called "lemma" can do a damn thing about it.
