Check out this month's OnTap magazine (on newstands now!) for a great review of our debut LP:

DC's jam rock band Must Love Trash has released the catchy "In the Kingdom of Soggy Basements," a collection of seven tracks. This isn't moody, navel-contemplating music for shoe gazers. At times reminiscent of Phish, MLT demonstrates a fun-loving attitude just perfect for a party or to just cut loose. Opening track "Bay 89" is a highlight, and "Blackout" shows the band has depth. Solid. Be sure to catch them on Aug. 22 at the Rock 'n' Roll Hotel with Once Okay Twice, The Frustrations and Ra Ra Rasputin.

We got a pretty favorable preview posting written about us in regards to our show this Saturday, July 19th at Piano's in NYC (158 Ludlow Street).  It's our CD release party.  We go on at 11 PM.  Then we're at Arrow Bar (85 Avenue A between 5th and 6th) at midnight for our after-party.  Check out the posting below:

"The place to be on Saturday night would have to be the album release party at Piano's for DC's Must Love Trash. The new debut, "In the Kingdom of Soggy Basements" is a great collection that showcases the bands many different sounds. The 7 tracks, also found at CDbaby, will be available at the show. The recording has a nice vibe to it, 90's rock but with some Talking Heads type grooves.  Fan favorite Reagan is in there as is the new Che's Waltz. Come see the live show, pick up the album, and leave knowing you got your summer soundtrack in your hands."

Hey all,
This weekend the MLT boys spent 36 hours in the closest of quarters and recorded a 7-track album entitled "In The Kingdom of Soggy Basements". The album has gone through it's initial mix and let me tell you..it sounds AWESOME! The disc has fantastic studio versions (mixed and recorded by the talented Hugh McElroy) and special guests and surprises on some of your MLT favorites. We're really excited about this and plan on releasing it later this summer. If you simply can't wait until the summer for a disc, then you'll have to settle for whatever single we release in June.

In the meantime, we'll be playing one final show May 15th before our 2-month hiatus. During the hiatus, we'll be working on new material and prepping the album for release.

So come check out your last chance to see MLT until July because we're playing Artomatic 2008:

Thursday, May 15th at 8 PM
Capitol Plaza I
1200 First Street, NE (near the New York Ave Metro)
Washington, DC
Cost: FREE!

It's our way of saying thank you to everyone for supporting us and making it possible to record this album. Thank you!

Keep it real,
Adam, Must Love Trash
