Well after 7 years Random Acts of Violence has decided to call it a day. We would like to say thanks and extend huge amounts of gratitude to everyone we've meet along the way. Every radio station that played us or had us on air. Every webzine or site that has reviewed us. Every band we've ever played with. Every promoter that has booked us and every photographer, magazine or blog that has writen or shot us and most of all to every fan of the music that helped make this so god damn fun for so god damn long. THANK YOU!!!!

Check out hookermedia.com to see what Hooker will be up to.

As for the rest of us we will continue to play in a new venture and you guys will get some updates in the coming months about that. But for now, take it easy.

We're looking to put together a street team now.  How many of you fuckers would be interested?  It doesn't matter where you're from or how old you are.  You can be 15 or 50 , right now we're trying to see what kind of street support we can get.

This would involve going to local shows to hand out fliers when we've got our own shows coming up and fliering at local colleges and other places where it's legal to post.  There will be some sort of incentives and you will be working closely in some situations with the band.

If you are at all interested, hit me with an email at eric@randomactsofviolence.com with your age, location, availability, motivation, sexual orientation, blah blah blah, whatever you want to tell me about yourselves and we'll take it from there.

This could be a good way to meet new people if you're outgoing, otherwise, a good reason to stand on a street corner other than hooking.

Thanks,
Eric

Random Acts of Violence Carthartes Aura EP

RAOV ride the line between hardcore audiences and traditional Swedish metal fans, consequently blistering ears with melodic yet swiftly-brutal intensity of a band likely influenced by Darkest Hour, OverKill, Integrity, Bane, and Unearth. Boston-area based they are, no fuckin' doubt, as the sound will definitly lead you to believe. Each song is a high-intensity burst of searing drum rolls and blasts and well-executed solos tapped by an uber melodic vibe. Overall, Cathartes Aura is a wailing, metallic debut I'd highly suggest you go spend a few bucks checking out. 3 tracks/15:19.

To our friends and fans,

We need your help at this point.  We're trying to spread our fan base more now that we're getting national press so we really need your help at this point.  What you can do other than tell all your friends about us is to request Transfiguration on Local Radio and especially Satellite radio.

If you all take two minutes while you're doing your myspace thing and click these links and request Transfiguration, it will create a buzz and help us get played.  The programers need to know that people want to hear this music.  Click on the links below and look for the "Request a Song" link.  It's that easy.  I know they look messy, but they work.
