First I'd like to say my heart goes out to all the people whos lives where changed forever 7 years ago... it still breaks my heart when i think of all the people who died and their families and freinds who miss them... especially the children... such a shame this world can be at times... but life goes on...

now about the show...

Something strange occurred last night in my life... well first of all... i was running open mic night at the Ironwood and only a few people showed up to play... so I ended up pretty much putting on the show all night.... nothing out of the ordinary for me considering ive been doing live shows in bars since the summer of 05 in OC Maryland.... one thing i have NEVER EVER done though is put on a show completely sober without a drop of alcohol to 'take of the edge off'... well last night i did... granted it wasnt by choice but because i cant drink on this medication i'm taking for a cold this week... none the less i drank water all night.. put on a great show and genuinly enjoyed myself... I thought that was impossible so i may be on to something here... i dont have to get drunk everytime i play a gig... interesting thought...  we will see what happens during next week shows when i am allowed to drink... the suspence is killing me...

monday september 8, 2008

Well week 1of the 08 NFL season is nearly over... and i nailed 4 out of my 5 spread picks... would have been 5/5 but i guess i didnt realize exactly how pathetic the Bengals really are, they made Ravens rookie quarterback Joe Flacco look like a savvy vet... i've learned my lesson with them... Steelers crushed, Jets sheepishly covered, the underdog Titans not only covered but won, and the 15.5 point dog Chiefs covered and ended 99% of all hope for New England fans to have another fairy tail season like last years (excluding their superbowl burnout)...

The Patriots superstar, model banging, pretty boy Tom Brady is reportedly out for the season with a torn ACL, leaving unproven Matt Cassell to lead the Pats from here on out... i suppose we will see whether Bill Belichick is truly the greatest NFL coach/genious of all time and can succeed with any quarteback... or Tom Brady was just that good... Too bad ther Pats didnt play Matt Cassell more last year when they were crushing teams 50 to nothing and still having Brady throwing bombs down feild to Moss in the 4th Quarter... KARMA??? ahaha... i cant feel good when anyone suffers a catastrophic injury...but hey, got to be honest.. being a diehard Steeler fan, i couldnt help but grinning a rye grin when i heard the cheating (remember spygate?) Patriot's golden boy went down... would they even had beat the Steelers in those 2 AFC Championship games had they not video taped our coaches signals in prior match-ups? suppose we'll never know

anyways... next week i will pick all 16 games.. probably gonna stay away from over/unders because they are crapshoots in my mind... but we'll see.... and if you had a bad weekend gambling here is my monday night picks so you can double down and get out of the whole you dug yourself putting dough on the embarrassing Bengal's or the choke-job Chargers... Go with the underdogs on Monday Night... +3 Vikings @ Green Bay... and the home Dogg Raiders +3 against the Bronco's... not really thinking about over/unders but look for point totals not to be over 37 points... so yea... guess im thinking unders....

in sumation, i admit i get a little depressed  when the summer winds down every year at the end of August only to be redeemed week 1 of each new NFL season... was it god's plan to invent football and start it in the fall to help with mankind's seasonal depression disorder or is humanity just lucky? either way.... Thank God its Football season

I like the Jets -3 at miami... over 36.5

I like the 15.5 point under dog Chiefs to cover the spread... over 43.5

I like Steelers -7 vs Houston... over 43

I like the Titans +3 vs the jags... over 37

Last weekend I went down to Pittsburgh to visit my best freind Mike G in ShadySide.  I got a ride down and dropped off from a freind Friday night with about 200 bills in my pocket, a hat, 2 wife beaters and 2 black shirts...

We met some peeps and hit up W. Penn, Docs, and some other bar for kareoke (yea I killed it)... and a lil' Village Pizza night cap... had a great time but $4 beers, $5 rum & cokes and $5 shots had my wallet hurting to the tune of 55 dollars left...

G worked the next day till 6, i went to Shady Grove for lunch... a Burger and a beer... tried to get a hold of some of my freinds in the burgh for lunch but everyone was busy... hung out there for a while, spent $15 in the juke box, had a few drinks, and by 6 o'clock i'm pretty feeling good and feeling pretty broke... in less then 24 hours in the city spent 200 bucks... but hey, what-a-ya gonna do ya know??  You borrow some dough from your boy and keep on keepin' on...

There was a big party on Walnut Street that Saturday night with live music, The Clarks were head lining... I met up with my brother Dave and my cousin Ben who have a place in southside...  The Clarks were dissapointing.  There were only three of the band members their.  No drummer.  Lead singer was a douch bag... I could of put on a better show... good shit either way though, gotta love live music...  so that night i got to see some old freinds, got locked out of G's place, watched Robby Digital bitch out this transvestite who was trying to hit on us and come up to G's place late night, and passed out on the balcony...

The next day, we went to breakfast with freinds in The Strip, and then spent all day watching the first season of the showtime series "Californication"  (kick ass show, highly recommend it)... everything was going fine until I got a call from my freind who was supposed to pick me up in Pittsburgh after playing poker in W. Virginia saying he never went to W. V. and was still at IUP... needless to say... i'm stuck in the burgh now... I exhaust all possibilities in Pittsburgh for a ride and end up spending another night...

monday morning comes around and i decide on walking/hitching back to IUP...  got a ride to Hooters and walked the whole way through Murrysville... the heat from the sun was killer and my feet fuckin hurt... hours and hours went by and just as i gave up trying to catch a ride, a kind gentlemen stopped and asked me were i was going... i said, 'IUP, but Blairsville is cool'.. he was going that way and there i was, spared from the hot concrete highway... i got dropped off at my grandpa's place in Bville and spent the day loungin by the pool till my mom picked me up after work...

funny how things work out... its nice that people will still help people in this world, even if its a complete stranger...

Last night my freind Matt and I were jammin together for the first time... he plays keys... and me, guitar and sing..... we started messin around at about 7:00ish... Dude is mad talented and easily picked up on my songs and cover songs i know... we played about 4 or five jams in between beers and what not...

9 oclock rolled around and we ran out of beer.... we wanted to go uptown and drink but we still wanted to play... so we figured we should just do both....

Drove to the Brown Hotel, asked the Bartender and doorman if we could play a show there that night... being the chill place it is, they both said 'that's cool"..
We went out to my crib, grabbed my PA ect.... he picked up his keys, went back, set up, sent out a bunch of texts, and tore it up all night... Gorilla Style....

probable one of the coolest shows i've been apart of in a long time....

plus i made 5 bucks in tips which funded my 3am preztel melt from sheetz..

I have recently posted several new videos in my 'video' section on this here myspace... well they are not exactly new videos in a sense that they were recorded on Friday June 8th, 2007.... I used to be in a band called Popcan Soundsystem and those are videos from are first ever live show... performed at 'The Cage' indiana Pa, last summer.... Gak (hand drums) couldnt make the show... the show was pretty 'ruff'... I didnt even have an electric guitar yet and Mick's bass amp was a piece of shit... we literally practiced about 3 times before hand and got so shitfaced hammered during those practices that we couldn't really remember what we had done the next day... but man it was fun and boy do I miss jammin in that garage... anyway... My freind Nikki Allison recorded the show and produced the footage ect... and I finally put aside the money to pay him about a month ago so a year later... i can post them.... they're pretty cool and funny... I hadn't performed live with a band in a long time... solo acoustic shows were thing before this... I really wish that our last show @ the Town Tavern in SouthSide was video taped so i could see and show yinz how we got better and grew as a band...  My cousin Stephanie is the girl singing 4non blondes... the covers are covers as well as a few Bucket Agency Joints... Day by Day, Flipside, Treat That Pussy Right are songs from my 1st acoustic album.... Gunbarrel Gorgeous was written about a week before the show... so check em out....  there are also videos listed under 'my favorites' from that show that Tom from The CAge recorded and also new acoustic jams there recorded and posted by kenziDanger.... 'Fuck This', 'That's Alright', and 'HopeSick'  i personally think they kick ass... they  will be on my new album, 'Secondhand Dope'.... Keep your eyes open for new vid's to be posted from my July 3rd show at Ironwood... Huff recorded the whole thing and we are working on a dvd 4 it......
