Tartelet are doing some real damage of recent and this 12" from James Braun continues in the same vain. 'Spanish Fly' is the main track that makes you wanna clap along like a madman. Top thumping beats and when the Spanish guitar drops the track is massive!!! Big support from A- Trak to Laurent Garnier. The flip sees 'The Shakers' which is a large piano stab Techno banger!!! Then to close you have a Dubstep track...HOLD ON! It is the sort of Dubstep that Hannah Holland or Riton might play. Phat chunky grooves with that all important Elentronic edge, TOP!

Taken from www.Phonica.co.uk

Quotes:

A-Trak: "I really like "Spanish Fly". I'll be playing this. I like the name James Braun too."

Alland Byallo (Kontrol): "I love this "Oi World" track... I'm not too clued into the Dubstep sound, but I think this is dubstep, and if it is, I love dubstep just like this! Nice one. "

Claude van Stroke (Dirtybird /: "Hi - I like the Spnish Fly!! This label is doing cool shit! "

Jamie Jones (Crosstown Rebels_: "This is a great release, some interesting sounds.. the a side I will be paying, but love the dub step track...cheers."

Jesse rose: "Another good release!"

Jimpster (Freerange): "The Shakers is a right royal wriggler. "

Laurent Garnier: "the "shakers" is the track for me in there . Will try it out "

MHM 1 (Tartelet Records): "Spanish Fly is a faaaaaaaaat production and a partystarter for sure. James Braun got the skills ! "

Mike Monday: "An excellent release - I thoroughly approve of the breadth of this release. All 3 tracks are winners for me. "

Mr. C: "A1: Good dance floor track, very funny noises & very entertaining. The Spanish guitar was a shock, I may mix out before it comes in. On heavy rotation."

No=ri Kawai Posivision mag (JP: "so great works!! be best for peak time."

Paul Hamill (BBC): "sounds amazing, love the breakdown. right up my street. "

Raresh (Apiar / Cocoon): "wonderful tracks ! both sides very effective ! thank you for sending"

Simon Budzizyn: "a very nice release. "the shakers" has already recieved radio airplay

Big tune alert!

The debut 12" both on Tartelet Records and by Tomski & Fredboy (usually known as Tomboy [of Turbo and Gomma fame, aswell as being drummer for the ace Whomadewho] and Fredski, see what they did there...), this is a certified banger on both sides. "Do The Tartelet" is, by a nose, the more immediate of the 2 tracks, propelled by a looping horn sample reminiscent of Smith 'n' Hack's legendary remix of Herbert it's a sure fire crowd pleaser and simply a massive party tune even before the monster Bass drops in, which is Dubstep worthy in it's heaviness! "Cereals" on the flip is no less essential though, again bringing a Dubstep like bass to the table it's surrounded by squeaking synth lines and traxy old-school house drums with a hefty amount of boompt packed into them, the whole thing sounds kind of rough and ready but in the best possible way, giving it that sweaty, warehouse party vibe that is so good to hear booming out of a system. Really top notch stuff these guys and w
