Hey all you lovely scrumpets! This is a well over-due blog! There has been a blog-clog in my head you might say! So, the November tour is coming up kicking me off in Nottingham on the 8th November. Here are the tour dates below: Sun 8 The Maze, Nottingham Mon 9 The Joiners, Southampton, Tue 10 Cox’s Yard, Stratford-Upon-Avon Wed 11 The Half Moon, Putney Thu 12 The Vic, Swindon Fri 13 The Latest Musicbar, Brighton Sun 15 Mr Kyps, Poole If you haven’t got tickets yet, hop to it! I have been making handmade merch with my best friend Lara and will be selling them at the gigs. I hope you like them! Also, if you buy a cd from me at the gig I get the money rather than the record shops so if you haven’t bought the cd’s yet then come on down! I will be there to sign stuff if you want anything signed too. Looking forward to meeting you! I’ve been waiting on this new job which I should find out about on either Friday night or sometime Monday. I really, really hope I get it as it would be AMAZING!!! Blah! Will be posting it up pronto if I get it! I’ve been burrowing away recently doing bits of writing, going to gigs, seeing friends. I am in the process of finding someone to gut and re-do my main website as it’s incorrect at best and makes my toes curl. When that is in the make I will also be setting up an online store so that you guys can get stuff direct from me. : ) If you are a musician/artist check out the Featured Artist Coalition (FAC) of which I’m a member. It’s the future for us! Go to a meeting and check them out! If you have twitter you can now follow me on twitter my name on there is AmyJaneStudt Also if you feel enthusiastic enough to join my street team email me your details (name, age, specialities, talent, job, whatever!) at amystudtstreetteam@live.com with the headline ‘Street Team’ and tell me the area/country you live in! and maybe how you would be happy to help.... but if not, just the basics would be splendid! x That’s all for me now! Hope I get to see you at some of the shows! Big love peeps! Amy xxxx

November tour is up and I'm really excited about going out on the road again. I have been making all sorts of merch to sell at gigs with my best friend miss la la and you will also be able to buy both the old and the new album and t-shirts. Hope you can make it!
Answers to questions:
So, as far as timings goes, i very much doubt that any of the gigs will be going on later than 12pm. except maybe the brighton gig as I am on later that night and after some stand up comedy. sweet. x I do not have any of the stage times yet but i will post up another note when i get more details.
As to what the set up is, it is me and Connor. Piano, guitar, vocals, backing vocals and loop sampler. So not full band. Me an cons are going into rehearsal the week before the tour and as we always end up writing new material when we get together, I am sure there will be new songs squished in there by the time the shows begin. And for those who have not yet heard 'Sleepy amy' and 'Let the music' they will also be part of set.
For merch and those of you who are not able to make it to any gigs but are interested in getting this mits on some there are plans in the pipeline for an online store which I am gonna try to put together for the future. so hold your horsies and hopefully this will be set up for the future. watch this space!
big love to you all A x

Hello! They say the three most stressful things in life are having a baby, death and moving house. I am in the middle of the later. My life is in turmoil but a healthy one. It was time for a change and so I welcomed it when the change came. I have moved out of my little home in Kew out into the sticks, to a cottage with Connor where I’m gonna be setting up a music studio and get a writing! The place is amazing and I can’t wait to get my life back out of its box, pun intended. There are peacocks walking around the grounds….I think the big one is after me. It ran at me when I opened my frount door but then I gave it some broken up hoolahoops and he seems to have decided I am potential friend not foe. Freddy is going mental with the move and everything and the peacocks have pushed him over the edge. He is desperate to get to them. The ultimate kill! But personally I think they could have him. They are like velosiraptors. I am putting in more gigs so keep your eyes peeled for new dates! If you are not on my mailing list and would like to be told when they are coming up and receive updates email me at amystudtofficial@live.com. For those wondering about New York I decided it was best to stay in the UK and work on what I have here for the time being but I will still be aiming to move to the US in the future, it was AMAZING. I hope you are enjoying the weather! I underestimated the sheer almighty power of the sun yet again, and burnt my nose eating a Sunday roast in the stag’s beer garden yesterday. Marvellous! Big love to you all. A xxx

Hi All!!
.. ..
I’ve been doing a fair

studio more deeply and I am currently recording ‘sleepy amy’ hopefully when it
is done I will put it up on my pages for you guys to hear.....
I am moving out of my
flat right now and have two weeks to pack up my life and condense it into two

New York in about 3 weeks time now. Scary!! But great! And the way I see it is
I can always come back if I am not feeling it anymore. I love England so much

Had such a brilliant
gig tonight! I had so much fun and I really enjoyed playing. I think it was because I was expecting
to not enjoy myself being so tired and jet-lagged. So much fun!! Thank you so
much to those of you who came down, it was lovely seeing your faces and hearing
your voices on the end song! Thank you to the crown for putting us on and
letting us play all night, Thank you to Anna Burton for gracing us with her
voice and singing some songs and being the best backing vocalist ever. Thank
you Connor McDonald, you diamond! You hold us all together! Bestest buddy ever.
Ash!!! You legend! Playing the guitar case for rhythm section on the last tune.
You always brighten up my day! So before this starts sounding like an album
thank you list (if it hasn’t already) I will stop as it was only a mere gig but
I enjoyed playing more than I have in years! Just wanted to say it out in cyber
space. Can’t wait for the next gig!!!....
Love to you all! xxx....

Hey all,
Back in the U of the
K. and I have to say I am pretty depressed being back here. I love England but
I have been thinking of New York as home for the last month and now I feel a
little uncomfortable in my surroundings. I can’t relax and I don’t want to
relax! I had such an amazing time and it confirmed to me that I want to move
there.
Just a normal day there….wake up, come out of my bedroom and
they are filming a comedy in my living room… “Hey guys.”….out the door….walk
down the street in the blazing sunshine and they have cornered off my street
and there is a street party going on, double bass players, skate boarders,
artists drawing in the street with different coloured chalk left out kindly for
anyone to use ( I was tempted to jump into one and see if I would get
transported off to a chalk land with the American version of Mary Poppins), I
walk past a group of people who are filming Sesame street next to the vegan
food restaurant that serves the best fake meat I have ever had……….buy a icy
berry shake from the Thai place……..pass at least 6 puppies and dogs that I am dying to grab and steal but
restrain myself………finally get to the park to watch a game of softball that my
friend is playing and sit in the sun writing……..get the L train into Manhattan
and go to the managements office of The Dresden Dolls to blag my way in and
give them my cd………….unusually brave for me but I manage to get in and right up
to the people I wanted to speak to and they seem delighted I stopped by and
promise to come to my next gig… sweet..…………..off to a jam session with some
musicians I have met out here and we stay up jamming right through till late………just
a normal day….
Needless to say, I am
moving! For six months first and then maybe for the full year and see where I
am at. I really want to get hold of Jon Brion as I have a dream that I might
write with him at some point. He is brilliant! I love his work with Fiona apple
and also the soundtrack to eternal sunshine of the spotless mind.
I have some meetings coming about and some potential
management offers so we will see…..not sure what I want to do yet. But I definitely
want to do a course in New York, maybe a creative writing course or an acting
course.
Got 3 gigs coming up starting this Friday
at the crown bar and kitchen. Check out www.myspace.com/amystudtofficial
for more details on the gigs! I am selling cd’s to sign there as well as
t-shirts made by my lovely friend miss la la.
Hope your all well and
hope to see you at a gig!
Much love
A

(It is just easier for
me to keep updating one page as it gets very complicated with all the different
pages. I am also on twitter if anyone is on that!)
Here’s the latest!
I went to my first
trendy New York party on Thursday 28 th may at Hiro, maritime hotel
Manhattan to see a DJ called Girltalk perform who is quite big here at the
moment. http://www.myspace.com/girltalk It
was also Spin magazines party and I got shown about by the fab Dana Dynamite
who is my honorary big sister while I am here. She has been introducing me to
everyone and I love her! Pretty weird event. One of the best places I have been
so far as far as people watching goes and it was a definite culture shock. The
Americans just do things so differently and it was ESPECIALLY clear when it
comes to dance music. (From what I’ve seen so far anyway) not my bag at all!
But was a wicked experience!
I met some really cool people also and
made a lot of connections. I met Owen Fegan this amazing photographer currently
working for rolling stone magazine; check out his page at www.owenfegan.com.
He was lovely!
I have my first New
York gig next Thursday at spike hill just on Bedford, Williamsburg so if
anyone is about, come down!!! Hopefully getting a couple more gigs too before I
have to come home.
I passed a pet store
yesterday with puppies in the window, I nearly died! They are apparently
getting a litter of bichon frises in a couple of months time….coincidence?
maybe!
Amanda palmer (Dresden
dolls) is playing a gig next week and I’m gonna try and make it down and say
hey and finally give her my album. She once sent me a massage saying she liked
my song ‘furniture’ and I said I would give her my album when it is finished.
Can’t wait to finally meet her! She is a legend.
What else…..hmm, a few days ago me and guys got to join
in with a jam session at this lovely guy Brians place. About 8 of us in a
rehearsal room all is one big circle jamming. It went really well and was
wonderful to play with such brilliant musicians! We recorded it so I am going
to go through the recording and see if there is anything I can pick out of it
to put up online.
That’s all for now
people! Muchos love to you all!
Amy in NY. XXX

Hey all! I have been
over in New York for about a week now and I have fallen in love with the city.
It is a real home away from home for me and I’ve met some amazing people out
here.
Finally found a flat and have
settled in with these two designers. The weather is HOT and beautiful! I’m living in Willamsburg and it feels
like I am in the sixties/seventies right at the start of the hippie movement.
Big vans with peace signs on them, people playing music in the streets and
everyone joining in, getting your fortune told, the most amazing books shops I
have ever been in where there was not a single book I could find that didn’t
interest me or that I didn’t want to take home. There are some amazing people
here and the place is vibrant, full of life, substance and TALENT.
I have a meeting with a guy from EMI
tomorrow to sort me out with some writers out here and I am off to San Fran to
have some meetings about a potential deal in the running’s….but VERY early
days.
Andy Cortes, Connor McDonald and Sam Van Hessen (can’t
fricken spell his name, he will kill me!) otherwise known as ‘Napoleon’ are all
settled in their own place at Greenpoint and we have been writing a bit
together and just hangen out. Although they are all a little fragile from enjoying
the juices of the big apple a little too regularly… good times!
Went to the comedy lounge last
night at midnight and saw one of the best comedians I have ever seen (though I
forget his name. : { ). Wandered out and found some guys playing guitar in the
street who had all somehow ended up being homeless. I bargained a cigarette for
the use of their guitar and I sang my little socks off. It was a lovely night.
God bless NYC. x
