Some of you may already
know, 3/4 of the lines performed live on Resonance Radio on the Ambrosia
Rasputin show. If you missed it you can download the whole damn thing including
our music selections and banter with AR. For those of a nervous disposition The
Lines segment is towards the last 25 mins.
As Jo Forty could not be with us we decided to keep him involved by
improvising over his 80s solo recording "Radio Bass" this was fed to
us by tabletop Mac through headphones. It was slightly disconcerting as we didn’t
have a lot of time to set up and it was hard to gauge the balance between what
was happening live in studio and what was on tape.
For the Tesco Bomber wearers out there I played Zildjian cymbal, Paiste Sham
69 cymbal (burnt and re-tempered in studio fire) sizzle rivet 5 Star Super Zyn,
small sizzle of unknown make, small bells, sleigh bells, tambourine, temple
blocks, steel guiro and Gretch 14" floor tom. Rico played a Squire Strat
in a rather fetching mild gold hue. Michael was on Yamaha Pacifica through boss
pedal effect. Jo Forty was in Dorset listening on the wireless. ....
